Dr. Max Goodwin is trying to help a family extend the life of their little boy with a rare muscular disease. Dr. Bloom and Dr. Sharpe scramble to solve the mystery as to why all of their patients are crashing simultaneously. Dr. Frome has to put aside his personal opinions to evaluate the mental stability of a gun owner. Dr. Kapoor deals with sexual harassment on the job. All while Dr. Sharpe has an interesting relationship with the new trauma doctor.

We see some of the effects of OCD, but also see some solutions. Doctor Bloom can’t recall whether she is losing her memory or not, but important details are getting lost along the way. Max and Alice discuss where their relationship is going, and we think the road is looking rather clear.

Dr. Fromm has a 13 year old patient that has tumors that are caused by racism and he struggles to find a way to treat him. Dr. Bloom is visited by her estranged mother. Max is told by stranger that Dr. Reynolds is quitting New Amsterdam.

Bring Out Your Dead! Wait... Bring Back Your Dead! - S2 E13
Max finds out that New Amsterdam is dumping patients to lower its mortality rate. He then goes and brings all of the patients back to New Amsterdam and converts a wing of the hospital into a fully functional comfortable and uplifting place for patients to live their final moments not matter how long. Dr. Bloom tells Dr. Reynolds that he is the outcast on the staff after she ignores a patient’s DNR so that the patient can meet her grandchild who was born as the patient enters cardiac arrest. As a result of Dr. Blooms comments Dr. Reynolds accepts the position in San Francisco.

Max Goes on His First Date! - S2 E11
Vijay has a patient that has been in a coma for 14 years 2 months and 8 days and his family deals with how and if they should finally say goodbye. Dr. Reynolds and Evie attempt to tell Max that they are moving to San Francisco. All of the computers in the ER are down and they struggle with having to use old school intake methods. The dangers of vaping are front and center as a teen's lung collapses. A woman who did the work to lose weight is still a prisoner to her body as she battles with infections from not being able to lose the excess skin.
