In this episode of All The Things: The Aldine ISD Podcast, guest host, Aldine ISD Podcast Producer and Senior Communications Specialist, Valonia Walker, APR  is joined by Aldine ISD Class of 2022 Superintendent Student Ambassadors Amari Lewis (Nimitz Senior High School), Angelina Leal (Nimitz Senior High School), and Sir Christon Turner (Carver High School).

Superintendent Student Ambassadors are a group of young, motivated juniors and seniors from each of our high school campuses. These students not only excel in academics and athletics, but they are also active in their communities and are leaders among their peers.

Collectively the Superintendent Ambassadors have created a special letter for rising seniors. They are leaving their mark and passing the torch to the Class of 2023. Our hope is that this audio time capsule will impact the Class of 2023 and future senior students.

Happy Women's History Month! In this episode, our special guest host Dr. Faviola Cantu, School Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools and fan of the podcast, celebrates the many contributions of women. She sits down with Aldine ISD Associate Superintendent of Schools for High Schools, Dr. Xochitl Rodríguez. "Breathe In....and Breathe Out." We hope you are all taking a Break and a Breather for yourself this holiday season. Although the holidays can be joyous for some, they can be stressful for others. Today’s episode will focus on Social and emotional learning (SEL) and how Aldine ISD is supporting students by implementing SEL districtwide. During this episode, Aldine ISD Social Emotional Learning & Culture Specialist, Savannah Ray, explains how we can use SEL in our everyday lives. 

In this episode, our 2021 District Elementary and Secondary teachers stop by to talk about the joys of teaching. This episode was full of hearty laughs, sentimental tears, poetry, and a little acting. Breanna Jagodzinski (Houston Academy) and Jaime Luna (Davis Senior High School) reminded us that it's not always about the content it's about the student.

Griggs, Sr., former Aldine ISD Trustee and Griggs EC/PK/K School; Namesake Ms. Marine Jones, former Aldine ISD Trustee, employee, and Jones Middle School Namesake During this episode; we also honor the legacy of Mr. A.W. Jones, Aldine ISD Trustee and Jones EC/PK/K and Jones Elementary School Namesake. It is our hope that during our episode that you take time to pause and celebrate the legacy builders and history makers here in Aldine ISD.
