In this episode of All The Things: The Aldine ISD Podcast, guest host, Aldine ISD Podcast Producer and Senior Communications Specialist, Valonia Walker, APR  is joined by Aldine ISD Class of 2022 Superintendent Student Ambassadors Amari Lewis (Nimitz Senior High School), Angelina Leal (Nimitz Senior High School), and Sir Christon Turner (Carver High School).

Superintendent Student Ambassadors are a group of young, motivated juniors and seniors from each of our high school campuses. These students not only excel in academics and athletics, but they are also active in their communities and are leaders among their peers.

Collectively the Superintendent Ambassadors have created a special letter for rising seniors. They are leaving their mark and passing the torch to the Class of 2023. Our hope is that this audio time capsule will impact the Class of 2023 and future senior students.

Both principals explain how their Choice School is impacting the students they serve. La Promesa will serve high school students in Grades 9-12, newly arrived in the U.S. from non-English speaking countries or with limited English proficiency who will receive intensive English language learning instruction, core academics, and support services. 

Aldine Young Women's Leadership Academy at Parker
Aldine Young Women's Leadership Academy at Parker will serve girls in Grades 6-12, with a focus on college prep, leadership, and STEM. The campus opened in partnership with the nonprofit organization, Young Women’s Preparatory Network, its mission is to support single-gender, college-preparatory public education, giving young women the academic and leadership skills to achieve success in college and in life.
