Happy Independence Day in the United States. Just in time for your picnic, I've got over 30 minutes of ambient sound from a nice peaceful park in Walnut Creek, California way before all the neighborhood kids have woken up. Birds sing. There may be a passing ambulance or traffic.

Today is a clusterfuck of sound. A real hodgepodge from my very home. Someone's working with power tools. A distant baby cries. Are those birds mating? A real bizarre 45 for you today.

Welcome to July. Since the weather is so nice, we are headed out to the park again today. You expect to hear some birds chirping and the distant hum from the street traffic. You may also hear some of the park employees stacking wood pallettes a few yards away.

We have another street scene today. This time we are listening to some Oakland traffic. These are cars inching along during afternoon rush hour. You'll hear some brakes squeek. Some engines hum. What else do you hear?

Today you'll be sitting on a kind of busy corner in Oakland, California. It's about 10am on a weekend. Most of the cars are delivering people to social activities. You'll hear a few delivery trucks screech by as well.
