S2 Ep1 | Paparazzi? More Like Mamarazzi! with Maria Shelton

S2 Ep1 | Paparazzi? More Like Mamarazzi! with Maria Shelton

My name is Maria. I was born in the Philippines but moved away when I was around 7 or 8 years old. My dad was in the US Army, so we moved to Baumholder, Germany for a few years then to Fort Hood, Texas. He was discharged due to health reasons which led us to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000. That’s where I pretty much grew up. I would consider Indianapolis my “hometown” since that’s where I spent a lot of my childhood.

Maria is a blogger, lifestyle influencer, photographer, and content creator!

S1 Ep10 | The Doc Talk with Scopes and Scrubs

S1 Ep10 | The Doc Talk with Scopes and Scrubs

We are third year MD/PhD students living in NYC. We started @ScopesandScrubs to share our experience in efforts to give exposure to MD/PhD programs and inspire others. We love what we do and wouldn’t be where we are without the help of our own mentors and the resource we were lucky to have. We recognize that a lot of people don’t have access to these resources and mentors (especially MD/PhD ones). Hence, you will find a lot of resources here as well as on our Instagram and Youtube!

Additionally, our goal is to make science/medicine fun. Our field is very elusive so that even the general public doesn’t know what different doctors do and what it means when you say you do research in a basic science lab.  We want to change this by exposing people to the medical/science fields through social media. Lastly, we want to create a space  to encourage, support, and talk about science and medicine.

Featuring special guests Juliana Remark, Lindsey Remark, and Marisol Soula of Scopes and Scrubs

S1 Ep9 | Growing For Good with Katie Stagliano

My name is Katie Stagliano, and this is the story of how my dream to grow a healthy end to hunger began. In 2008, when I was in the third grade, I received a cabbage seedling from the Bonnie Plants Third Grade Cabbage Program. My brother and I planted my seedling in a sunny corner of my backyard. I cared for my cabbage and watched it grow, and grow, and grow. Since then, Katie has created Katie's Krops, an organization providing produce to food pantries and hosting dinners where community members can enjoy fresh produce and desserts.
