CoQ10: Health and Anti-Aging Benefits Part 2

In  part 2 of the health and anti-aging benefits of CoQ10, Dr. Meschino explains the human studies using CoQ10 to prevent and manage cardiovascular conditions, such as congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. He also explains the human studies using CoQ10 in the management of COPD, recovery from pneumonia, cancer and cancer recurrence prevention, asthma and other conditions. Longevity Matters Episodes 1 and 2 Vitamin C and Immunity

In this episode Dr. Meschino explains the specific ways that vitamin C influences individual immune cells, helping to enhance their ability to prevent and fight many infections as well as cancer. He explains ideal vitamin C blood levels, vitamin C requirements under changing conditions, and factors known to deplete vitamin C from the body. He also reviews clinical studies showing the value of vitamin C in fighting specific types of infections, and cautions people with certain health conditions about precautions they should exercise regarding vitamin C supplementation.

Dr. James Meschino is an associate professor in the division of physiology and biochemistry at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he has taught nutrition and biochemistry since 1984. He has also been a faculty member at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). He is the author of four nutrition/wellness/anti-aging books. He also teaches Advanced Nutritional Medicine for the Global Integrative Medicine Academy (www.gim-academy.com).
