Sir Alasdair was Headteacher of Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets for 21 years. During that period, attainment at the school rose significantly and OFSTED inspections twice rated Morpeth as Outstanding. Sir Alasdair currently advises the Welsh Government on raising attainment.

Huw and Janet are joined by world-renowned educationalist professor John Hattie. Formerly director of the Melbourne Education Research Institute at the University of Melbourne, Hattie is a leading proponent of evidence-based teaching. With Huw and Janet, he discusses exams, assessment and accountability, and shares his advice for Wales’ new education minister.
