Wallace Hamilton has this to say about failure. “People are training for success when they should be training for failure. Failure is far more common than success; poverty is more prevalent than wealth; and disappointment more normal than arrival.” I get the gist of what Hamilton is trying to say but don’t agree with the statement. The human brain focuses on what we give attention to. The interesting thing about failure is that we are quick to judge isolated situations in our lives and label them as failures, instead, we should keep the bigger picture in mind. Failure is not a bad word because without failing several times, you can never be successful. Fail fast, fail quickly, learn from these failures, and move towards success.
