#FootyMisfits Ep. 155 - Read Between the Lines
It was the Spencer & LV show on this edition of the #Misfits as the International Break came to a close. Beginning with some highlights, the boys jumped straight into Mexico and the USMNT's matches against Germany and Ghana. Following that was a spotlight on England, their talent, and what their expectations are for the upcoming Euro 2024 (which they just qualified for after beating Italy 3-1). And finally, the two bros broke down Neymar's unfortunate injury and what that means for Brazil and his club Al-Hilal. Finishing things off with a run through of European club footy, the misfits combed through matches in La Liga, Serie A, and the Prem.
BS of the Week was given to racism against Vini Jr. during the contest between Real Madrid and Sevilla over the weekend.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 154 - Crossroads of the Football World
It was the Ronny and LV hour on episode 154 of the #Misfits! The boys got right into the Champions League matches of the past week, including Man United's horrid run of form and Newcastle beating up PSG at home. After also hitting the Europa and Europa Conference League fixtures, domestic footy awaited. Starting with the prem, LV got a chance to gloat about his Spurs being top of the table before shedding some light on Arsenal's long-awaited win over Man City in the league. La Liga showed more of Real Madrid looking top tier, and Barcelona looking a bit lackluster. And finally, there was some On Location to be talked about! Ronny & LV finished the pod breaking down how the good folks at StreetSoccerUSA graciously invited the #Misfits to their annual Times Square cup, which featured tons of footy & fanfare throughout the day, as well as a collab with German giants Borussia Dortmund!
BS of the Week was handed to MLS for giving Messi a little too much credit, FIFA's 2030 World Cup decision, and Jurgen Klopp's recent comments about replays.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 153 - Human Error
Spencer and LV took command of episode 153 of the #Misfits while Ronny aka Mr. Misfits was away on business. Before the good brothers got too into the weeds about the ongoing VAR drama in the prem surrounding Liverpool v. Spurs, there was much to get into across European club footy. Beginning with La Liga, the pair broke down Barca's latest form, Real Madrid's seemingly endless reserve of quality (including that MAN Jude Bellingham), and Atletico Madrid's consistent inconsistencies. Elsewhere, in Germany, Bayern Munich was yet again unable to beat RB Leipzig, this time in the league as the match finished 2-2. Some slight surprises in the Bundesliga table as Bayer Leverkusen sits atop the standings with Stuttgart in 2nd. And in Serie A where parity is king, Inter Milan and Lautaro Martinez showed their attacking quality, while Victor Osimhen continues to score despite his ongoing drama with Napoli. Finally, Spence and LV finished things off by breaking down the PGMOL's unreal mishap at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Spurs sneaking away with all three points against the Reds. BS of the Week was deservedly given to the PGMOL and Pep Guardiola for calling Hwang Hee-Chan "That Korean Guy."

#FootyMisfits Ep. 148 - Beyond Greatness: Women's World Cup Preview (Groups E-H)
Ronny and LV led part two of The Football Misfits' 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup group previews! Beginning with groups E and F, the boys enlisted the help of the good brother Sebastian North of Campfire Football. The trio broke down two groups filled with powerhouses (USA and Netherlands in Group E; France and Brazil in Group F) and debutants (Portugal and Vietnam in Group E; Panama in Group F) alike. For the tournament’s last two groups (G and H), the Misifts got some help from a new footy friend from the West Coast — the Argentina-repping Constanza Olivera! The three showed some love to La Albiceleste and broke down their chances of getting out of Group G against Sweden, Italy, and South Africa. For Group H, all eyes were on Linda Caicedo and Colombia and how they might fair against Germany (who may be on the road to redemption), first-timers Morocco, and South Korea.
Follow both Sebastian and Costanza on Instagram and listen to Campfire Football wherever you find your podcasts!

#FootyMisfits Ep. 147 - Beyond Greatness: Women's World Cup Preview (Groups A-D)
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is upon us and The Football Misfits, with the help of Strathfield FC's and Sydney Olympic FC's very own Angelica Georgopoulos, preview Groups A, B, C, and D of the competition! Angelica gives the good brothers a sense of the preparations and build-up leading to, what might be, the biggest moment in Australian football history. Their friends across the ditch, New Zealand, are paired with Norway, the Philippines, and Switzerland and there is not a clear consensus regarding the two teams that will advance. The group does agree that Australia has the potential of going all the way. Spener joins the episode for Groups C and D, where Spain is looking to brush off prior controversies with their FA while England, much like the Matildas, is primed for greatness down under despite being hit with the injury bug.
Previews of Groups E, F, G, and H will be released in an upcoming episode prior to the start of their group matches.
Keep in touch with Angelica on Instagram.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 146 - Mexican Magnum Opus?
The good brothers also share their thoughts on the latest transfers, including Sergio Busquets to Inter Miami, as well as Lionel Messi adapting to Florida life and the latest installment of BS of the Week; which goes to Messi (whaaaa) and Matt Miazga (whoooo).
FIFA Women's World Cup Preview episodes coming soon!
#FootyMisfits Ep. 145 - Gold Cup Glory and Geriatrics
The Concacaf Gold Cup rolls on and The Football Misfits has it covered! The good brothers break down Ronny's On Location experience at the Guadeloupe vs. Guatemala and Costa Rica vs. Martinique matches, giving flowers to Los Chapines and breaking down Los Ticos' 10-goal thriller. Ronny, along with LV and Spencer, discuss the quarterfinals and a pair of talking points: Guillermo Ochoa holding up the progression of the new school in his position for Mexico and American Jesus Ferreira's "Pirate of the Caribbean" moniker, his potential growth path (or lack thereof). They also discuss Christian Pulisic's move to AC Milan and Landon Donovan's remarks regarding a move to MLS and BS of the Week to stabby Mexican supporters.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 144 - Southern Hospitality
Episode 144 saw Spencer, LV, and Ronny (who was live from Atlanta) get straight into the Gold Cup action over the past week. The group stage's biggest surprises thus far came from Canada looking piss-poor and Mexico's stellar performances. The boys also discussed the USMNT priming themselves for progression, as well as Ronny's Honduras just letting everyone down.
On a club football level, the Misfits dived into the transfer news void, where they talked over done deals, rumors, and everything else in between. BS of the Week was given to a poor crowd turnout at Levi's stadium, and the USMNT's friendly match scheduling.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 143 - Where There's Smoke, There's (a Camp)Fire feat. Sebastian North of Campfire Football
The good brother Sebastian North of Campfire Football joins Ronny and Spencer on episode 143 of The Football Misfits Podcast! The guys discuss the USWNT's squad release and share their thoughts on the 23 going to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The guys discuss transfers, Real Madrid's rebuild, and Khaby at "The Beautiful Game" before delivering BS of the Week to B.J. Callaghan haters and Thibaut Courtois
#FootyMisfits Ep. 142 - Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations
On the latest episode of The Football Misfits Podcast, LV returns to the pod as does international footy! The good brothers break down the Nations League Final Fours in both UEFA and Concacaf and break down Spain's success, Italy's resurgence, and struggles by both the Netherlands and Mexico. The United States' CNL participation was overshadowed by the re-hiring of one Gregg Berhalter and the guys share their thoughts. Ronny and LV also preview the upcoming Concacaf Gold Cup and review the week's slate of international fixtures.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 141 - Manchester Milestones and Moves to Miami
With LV greaving over #theBIGGESTlittlecup no longer in his possession, Ronny and Spencer hold down the latest episode of The Football Misfits Podcast. The guys share their thoughts on all things UEFA Champions League final from the snoozefest it was to the Pep Guardiola's managerial legacy, to the prospect of Erling Haaland winning the Ballon d'Or over Lionel Messi. Speaking of, the good brothers also discuss his move to MLS-outfit Inter Miami. They also share thoughts on other transfers and rumors as well as West Ham United winning the UEFA Europa Conference League final over Fiorentina.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 140 - Must Be The Money
It was a Spencer and LV edition of the misfits on episode 140 while Ronny was On Location covering Gotham FC v San Diego Wave FC. The boys first dived into news of Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema's departure to Saudi Arabia. Also, Sevilla's unreal streak of winning Europa League Finals was extended to 7 as the Spanish outfit got the better of Roma, shattering Jose Mourinho's own unblemished record in European finals. The cup finals didn't stop there as the FA Cup final saw a Manchester Derby for the first time ever, with City winning yet another final and teeing themselves up for a potential treble. The good bros also tapped into the Women's Champions League as Barcelona pulled off an incredible comeback win over Wolfsburg. The fun continued on as Ronny popped in live from Red Bull Arena to finish the episode and recap the match! BS of the Week was given to Carlo Ancelotti, a grumpy Roma fan, and an FA cup final match-goer who got folded like a deck chair by IShowSpeed's security.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 139 - Sad Beautiful Tragic
The amount of emotion in European football this weekend coincided with Taylor Swift's three-night concert series in the New York City area; feels that were conveyed on episode 139 of The Football Misfits Podcast. Join Ronny, Spencer, and LV as they discuss Borussia Dortmund's inability to win the Bundesliga on the final day of the season and Ronny's reasoning for why they did not bottle the league last Saturday. The relegation fight in the Premier League took center stage on a weekend that was "on crack" as described by LV. Luton Town achieved top-flight football courtesy of the Promotion Playoff which leaves the guys in awe as their bandbox stadium will host Premier League matches next season. The good brothers conclude the pod with a whip-around of other European leagues and BS of the Week.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 138 - Amateur Hour
Deep dives galore on episode 138 of The Football Misfits Podcast! European semifinals took centerstage during the midweek with Inter Milan and Manchester City booking their tickets to the UEFA Champions League final with Inter headlining a Serie A trio in European cup finals. Arsenal took a defeat to Nottingham Forest, securing the latter's top-flight safety as well as Manchester City's third straight Premier League title. Speaking of, Ronny and LV discuss the "Farmer's League" tag, whether or not it applies to the Prem, and why the term can be misleading when applied to other leagues. Lastly. the guys hand out BS of the Week to racism in La Liga and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 137 - The Dog Days of Mid May
#FootyMisfits Ep. 136 - Party Crashers feat. Calcio with Julian
Ronny and LV were joined by their favorite Serie A expert and Julian Faustini of CalcioWithJulian on episode 136! And in that same vein, Serie A was the topic of the day courtesy of Napoli fumbling the bag at home against Salernitana on Sunday. But before that, the boys did a deep dive on Inter Milan's match against red-hot Lazio, breaking down the Nerrazuri season thus far. That turned into a discussion on the healthy amount of competition in Serie A, and the lack thereof in Europe's other leagues. Speaking of other leagues, the good bros also broke down the Bundesliga title race, with neither team wanting to retain the top spot, and the Premier League race, where Man City finally took control over Arsenal.
BS of the Week was given to Klopp's hamstring-pulling celebration, Napoli's failure to capture glory at the perfect time, and Acerbi of Inter Milan for an unfortunate gift to his former club.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 135 - Misfits Radio (Vol. I)
In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund couldn't capitalize on giants Bayern Munich's slip up against Hoffenheim as they themselves succumbed to a stunning 3-3 draw away at Stuttgart. Elsewhere on Misfits Radio, LV broke down Serie A's latest happenings, including Napoli looking lackluster, and the Milan clubs doing more of the same. BS of the Week was given to angry Spurs fans bullying Davinson Sanchez.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 134 - Ramadan Rizz and a Mid Pack
The Footy Misfits reunited in full force on episode 134. Ronny, LV, and Spencer led off with the Copa Del Rey semi-final (which happened to be yet another El Clasico) before diving into La Liga's top-four race. There were more domestic cup semifinals in Europe as Juventus and Inter Milan faced off in a heated first leg of the Coppa Italia semis. That turned into a conversation about Juventus' chances at a European spot this season growing, while Inter and AC Milan continue to fail in securing points. The Premier League was also jampacked with action as Frank Lampard kicked off his 2nd stint at Chelsea (yes, you read that right) with a loss against Wolves. Liverpool and Arsenal delivered a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield, potentially blowing the title race door wide open as Man City continue their fine form. And finally, some notes on the international break on the women's side of footy before handing BS of the Week to television networks not airing women's football enough, Gerard Pique, and Jurgen Klopp for blowing his load.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 133 - The Sad Sacks
The Misfits were without Ronny on episode 133, but have no fear — Spencer and LV were around to break down the latest footy happenings. Beginning with the international fixtures over the course of the week, the duo touched on some UEFA footy (Portugal scoring for fun; England and Kane breaking records) and some more record breaking from Argentine hero Lionel Messi. Following that was a conversation on the return of club footy for the business end of the season! In Serie A, Napoli faced a rough defeat to upcoming UCL opponents AC Milan. In La Liga, Benzema continued to show and prove his form during the month of Ramadan. The Premier League gave the good bros not one but TWO managerial sackings to break down as Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers were both relieved of their duties. and finally, Der Klassiker in Germany allowed Bayern Munich to reclaim their spot atop the Bundesliga table.
BS of the Week was given to a cheating USMNT international and a Ligue 1 manager hating on Ramadan.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 132 - Playing Catch Up
#FootyMisfits Ep. 131 - Seat Warmers
Spencer and LV took the reigns on episode 131 while Ronny was away On Location for Charlotte FC vs. Atlanta United. The pair dived straight into the 2nd legs of the UEFA Champions League, which saw Spurs and PSG crash out miserably, Benfica crush Brugge, and Chelsea complete a comeback at home against BVB. The good bros also played a quick game of managerial hot seat, debating whether Graham Potter, Antonio Conte, Diego Simeone, and Jurgen Klopp were in trouble this season. The Europa League round of 16 also kicked off and provided plenty of goals. Finally, the Misfits dived into the domestic happenings across Europe before handing down BS of the Week to a false transfer report featuring Houssem Aouar.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 130 - Get it Together
The Champions League returned over the past week and so did the #Misfits. On episode 130, Ronny and LV got straight into the mediocre UCL slate which featured Tottenham AC Milan, BVB, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, Club Brugge, and Benfica. The boys also looked ahead to next week's European fixtures. Europa League delivered some entertainment, including the firecracker between Man United and Barcelona. The weekend's results saw Arsenal climb back to the top of the Prem, and a three-way tie atop the Bundesliga.
BS of the Week was handed down to Toni Kroos and a Bayern fan who won a stupid prize.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 129 - Hot Water
The Football Misfits were back in full swing after a week off. And with no shortage of topics to cover on and off the field, the boys kicked things off with the charges aimed at Manchester City by the Premier League. The state of football front offices then helped segue the conversation into the 'remixed' Super League proposal released by executives of football's most prominent institutions. Following all the off-field shenanigans, the guys took a look at results in the Premier League (including Arsenal dropping points again), in Serie A where Napoli has become seemingly untouchable, in the Bundesliga where a three-horsed race is officially underway, and in La Liga where Atletico Madrid seem dead in the water.
BS of the Week was presented to Lionel Messi's brother and the new weak-ass Super League.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 128 - No Chill
English football headlined episode 128 of The Football Misfits! Ronny, LV, and Spencer discuss the marquee FA Cup fixture between Manchester City and Arsenal, Liverpool's defeat to Brighton, Tottenham earning an away W at Preston, and Wrexham captivating the football world. The guys also discuss headlines in the English game and whether or not former football-playing legends make good managers once their careers are over. The good brothers dip into leagues around Europe before handing BS of the Week nods.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 127 - Rivalry Rebooted
On the latest edition of the #Misfits, Ronny and LV dived deep into THE match of the moment in the Premier League. The clash between Arsenal and Manchester United had a vintage feel as the Gunners looked to maintain their spot atop the table. With the old rivalry renewed, the conversation opened up to the performance of the two club managers: Ten Hag and Mikel Arteta. Afterward, the boys looked at the punishments handed down to Juventus and its (former) front office members. And after a short recap of the happenings around Europe, BS of the Week served as the final course (given to Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, Salernitana, and a midtable Premier League match).
#FootyMisfits Ep. 126 - Inconsistency is Key
Ronny & LV took the reigns on episode 126 of the #FootyMisfits to discuss their respective teams' losses over the week. Things began in Serie A when Napoli smoked Juventus' boots, which left Ronny reeling. both Liverpool and Madrid lost, causing Spencer to be missing in action. At the same time, LV had to reckon with how good Arsenal could be after the Gunners stormed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and handed the Spurs yet another L. Also on the cards was Barcelona's newly found form and Chelsea's lack thereof.
BS of the Week was handed to El Chapo-themed kid birthday parties, Gerard Pique, and Cristiano Ronaldo's lack of geographical knowledge.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 125 - BS of the Year 2022
In typical #FootyMisfits fashion, our 2022 year-end special – BS of the Year – drops 13 days into 2023! (Do forgive us!!) From poor refereeing at the Africa Cup of Nations to Salt Bae to the split between Shakira and Gerard Pique, Ronny and LV run through a year of BS in football!
#FootyMisfits Ep. 124 - Family Feud
The #FootballMisfits have returned in full force for the new year! That means more Spencer, Ronny, and LV to bring you their takes on the footy shenanigans! Before the Misfits got into it on episode 128, however, the good brothers spent the intro paying respects to two footy legends that transitioned over the past few weeks – Pele and Gianluca Vialli.
Now back to the bullshit — The USMNT served up a heaping pile of mess for the boys to dive into on this week's edition after news leaked of The Reyna family (Dani and Claudio) resorting to heinous methods to avenge the "humiliation" their son Gio faced during the World Cup. That means an attempt at blackmailing, extorting, and just nuking an age-old friendship with U.S. coach Greg Berhalter.
B.S. of the week was dished out to whoever thought it was plausible to get French legend Zinedine Zidane to coach the USMNT and Gianni Infantino for taking selfies at a footballing greats' funeral.
#FootyMisfits Ep. 123 - Return to Messipotamia
Following a month of Instagram Live sessions with the good brothers, LV and Ronny return to the traditional weekly podcast format. Most of the episode was spent looking back at the recently-completed 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. They guys discuss if this year's edition of football's most prestigious tournament was the best in the history of competition, the figures that became household names over the course of the month, and what this World Cup means in terms of the Lionel Messi GOAT conversation. BS of the Week also surrounds the World Cup as FOX Sports' coverage was pitiful, a chef interfering with Argentina's World Cup, and a fan winning a stupid prize for playing a stupid game.
