Chicago Daily Herald film critic and former Chicago Film Critics Association President Dann Gire joins us to discuss 1985's Fletch, directed by Michael Ritchie and starting Cherry Chase. We debate the quality of the film, with Dann also providing commentary based on his vast experience as a studious journalist to comment on the workings of the film's integrity of keeping things accurate (or not) on the goings of a newsroom. Whether it's the cast (Matt's personal favorite), James Horner's score, or the overall entertaining nature, this film was Matt's gateway to the late, great Sidney Poitier, whose legacy carries an important point of this podcast during the conversation.
