"Do you have what it takes to keep going" with Scott Wyden Kivowitz (ep 013)

Scott Wyden Kivowitz (ScottWyden.com) is an old photography friend of mine. We talk about the wonders of martial arts, dramatic childhood car accidents with brushes of the unexplainable, how children change your focus, and how all life and professional skills are transferable.

Scott runs a podcast, Workflows, which is all about saving photographers time and money in their photography business. It’s produced by Imagen, a company that provides AI post-production to photographers so they can spend more time, creativity and energy doing more of what they love.

"Very few decisions are final" with Udi Tirosh (ep 011)

"Very few decisions are final" with Udi Tirosh (ep 011)

For this episode, we're in for a real treat - I'm interviewing Udi Tirosh; someone I've known for more than a decade. What started as a professional connection when I wrote for Udi's photography blog DIY Photography, blossomed into a true friendship over (too) many tiny Kolsch during Photokina - one of the big photography trade shows.

We explore cultural differences, how we make decisions, and, yes, the meaning of life.

Forgive the utterly silly episode photo; it's somehow one of the few photos I have of me and Udi together :-D

"Receiving is acceptance" with Richard Reiniger (ep 008)

Back after a short break - in episode 8, I talk with Richard Reiniger, and we dig into the nature of the self, mantras to keep us going, tattoos, and ... chicken fish? Yes, really.

It's a particularly lovely episode - enjoy!

"Why don't I look out through someone else's eyes?" with Meke Kamps (ep 007)

"Why don't I look out through someone else's eyes?" with Meke Kamps (ep 007)

As soon as I decided on creating this podcast I knew I wanted my sister - Meke - on the podcast, too. More than almost anyone else in the world, she's seen how I've been grappling with 'meaning of life' type questions for as long as I can remember. But the real gift in this podcast is hearing how we agree on some of the fundamentals - and how we disagree.

One of my fave episodes so far - enjoy!

"See each other" with Carlos Saba (ep 004)

Carlos is one of those people who thinks and reflects deeply and has a particular knack for examining the world from various angles. As one of the founders of the Happy Startup School, he is on a mission to put people (and particular founders) in deep connection with their raison d'etre. Needless to say, the conversation was deep and many-faceted - with some really intriguing curveballs thrown in along the way.

"Committed, not Attached" with Jared Byer (ep 002)

In the second episode, we go deep with Jared Byer (@jwbyer on Instagram), talking about the power of Yoga, the nature of the soul, flitting around this glorious planet wearing a skin suit, and why people aren't paying attention to cultural messages in blockbuster movies - especially when it's possible that we might have been able to learn something from them.

"I am Enough" with Kate Gillispie (ep 001)

For the inaugural Meaning Of Life and Such epiode, Haje talks with his friend and co-host-in-other-podcast-worlds Kate Gillispie. You can find her on @GillispieMe on Instagram to learn more.

In this episode, we reference the first time Kate and Haje met in person - the episode cover photo is from that very meeting - during a Human Awareness Institute photoshoot back in January of 2020.
