It's the month of May and in Indianapolis that means all things racing. After all, the Indy 500 is the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. It goes beyond racing if you grew up around Indy. Jim and I sat down and talked about so many memories, traditions and how it impacted our lives.

This guy is responsible for getting my foot in the door at WFMS Radio in Indianapolis. I thought I'd stay a year and move on, but 34 years later I guess I was hooked. We'll talk about his journey in the sports broadcasting world. He'll share some pretty fun behind the scene stories. Join me as I chat with my great friend Scott Hoke

I took a weekday trip to a small town in Southern Indiana. See what took me to the town of Heltonville. Don't blink, you might miss it and I almost did! I'm counting down to exciting days ahead in May and Corbin surprises Jim with an early birthday present.

Sunday is Mother's Day. This past week was Nurses Appreciation Week. A week just does not seem like enough time to salute Mothers and Nurses. I am grateful that my Mom is till going pretty strong at 81. I am also thankful for each and every nurse that touches the lives of people every single day. It's not just a day or a week, it's a lifetime that they dedicate to each one of us.

In our lives some friends come and some go. The hardest part is when a true friend is physically with us but mentally gone. For me this is an emotional episode as I share the evil of dementia and how it has taken my Mom's best friend away.  

We are in the thick of March Madness in the Hoosier State. How do we get outsiders looking in to notice that we are more than basketball hoops? All eyes are on the Hoosier State in the next couple of weeks. March Madness always brings back memories of growing up where the famed John R. Wooden spent hours on the hardwood in my hometown of Martinsville. Jim and I will reminisce about those vintage hardwood floors around Indiana. I'll also talk to Corbin about some NCAA refs that won't be seeing action during this tournament.

She also shares some of her latest adventures to some pretty exotic places. I'll share a few secret travel tips of my own.
