Oct 2019. Just Days after David Enrich Published his NYTimes feature article on Val Broeksmit, Val call Enrich's editor, NIck Summers to ask 

"WTF!? How could the New York Times allow David to publish an obvious misleading, stack of lies, riddled with errors,  false attack on his character. Especially a non fact-checked attack."
The lies about Val began in the first sentence of the story.

Val Broeksmit vs David Enrich
& The NYTimes Podcast Crew of The Daily

Jan 2020 just weeks before Covid took over the world Media, Val Broeksmit was at war with NYTimes Journalist David Enrich, writer of the deadly character assassination piece on Mr. Broeksmit published on the front page of the New York Times Sunday Business section in Sept 2019. Enrich's betrayals & bad writing forced Mr. Broeksmit into hiding for the remainder of 2019. 

The Daily -The widely celebrated NYTimes podcast that averages 1 billion download a month & remains the most listened podcast in the world - Called upon Mr. Broeksmit in late Dec 2019 to inquire & seek agreement by Mr. Broeksmit to featured him in an hour long episode of NYTimes' The Daily. Two of the shows producers sought Val's approval to fly their Pod Crew to Los Angeles from NYC set up camp in Val's home & over the course of two days, record a conversation between Val Broeksmit & David Enrich. 
The New York Times just doubled down.

Seeing his chance to correct all of Enrich's mistakes, lies and mischaracterizations, Val agreed. His French-born girlfriend famously stated that Mr. Broeksmit had "grinned at the scent of revenge". Immediately after hanging up the phone with The Daily Producers on Jan 2nd 2020, his stasis ended & Val furiously went to work.
Over the course of the next 3 weeks Mr. Broeksmit would carry out a most intensive background research on Enrich, collecting reams of evidence & data including texts & emails, even Audio recordings Val secretly taped of his conversations with Enrich surfaced. Friends were called upon &  Enemies exploited. The Mighty Casey had another shot.

Reports of strange late night calls to always-up-late luminaries like Barrett Brown & Dirk Laabs. The Eponymous Scott Stedman had led a Twitter-ati battle cry on Front pages of Forensic News. Rumours abound Mr. Broeksmit during his exile pilfered three Breaking News Front Pagers from NYT Enrich in 3 short months. Stedman & The Forensics were going to successfully tour the coast for the remaining left coast winter. Mr. Broeksmit had made it a certitude. The Roaming Brain Trusts WSJ, Bloomburg & Reuters were said to be installing firewalls around even their most complicated coffee machines as their field agents finally edged together corners of a giant jigsaw puzzle. A creature had taken shape & form. Some sort of revenge game had been let loose in Los Angeles & Val Broeksmit...

Mr. Broeksmit was unreachable for comment during the interim.

Jan 26th 2020.

The NYTimes PodCrew from The Daily knocked on the door of Val Broeksmit's Downtown LA Loft.
They entered Mr. Broeksmits home stupified. Gripping at their Microphones around the loft came an understanding...
They'd brought a knife to a gunfight

The former Editor in Chief of Vice News was glaring back, standing next to a grinning Val, as Rocco Castoro's film crew paced around with unforgiving cameras, Rocco's sound man approached Enrich & crew asking if he could please mic them.
