Retention Bonus Episode!

Retention Bonus Episode!

Aiwan and Amy truly are the guests that keep on giving! Following their respective full episodes (which I really recommend checking out if you haven’t already), listeners were quick to comment on how enjoyable both guests were to listen to. It seems only fair to give the people more of what they want, so this bonus episode is filled with extras from episodes 1 and 2 which didn’t quite make the cut. There’s talk about my measly pension amount, more from Amy’s cat Bowie, and we finally get an answer to ‘how many cows are there in Canada?’. Well, sort of… Expect rougher audio and plenty of nonsense - this episode is a warts-and-all look behind the scenes of the Job Interview. For more episodes please subscribe, and follow the podcast on socials: @jobinterviewpodcast on Facebook and Instagram. Feel free to send any feedback or future guest suggestions, and maybe even drop a nice review on Apple Podcasts. As always, your support is much appreciated :)

Episode 2: Amy Brennan

Episode 2: Amy Brennan

This episode is something of a reunion, as Amy and Lucy met during their (brief) time working together at Calrec Audio in 2019. Since then, Amy has gone on to become a Studio Manager on BBC Radio 5 Live, and you'll hear all about her journey to get that job having graduated as an Art student in London (via lots of bar jobs). Amy is living proof that passion and determination are more impressive to recruiters than specific qualifications, and her positive attitude will have you walking away from the episode ready to smash your own personal goals. This episode was recorded remotely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and Wi-Fi issues (along with Amy's cat supervising the session) means that the audio quality may be lower than ideal at times - sorry! For more episodes please subscribe, follow the podcast on socials ( @jobinterviewpodcast on Facebook and Instagram) and follow @esmetrax (Amy's DJing page) while you're there. Please feel free to send any feedback or future guest suggestions, your support is much appreciated :)

Episode 1: Aiwan Obinyan

Episode 1: Aiwan Obinyan

In this episode, Aiwan Obinyan joins Lucy to talk about everything audio. There's a focus on podcasting - stemming from Aiwan's recent work on Growing up with gal-dem, BBC's Small Axe: The Podcast, and Snatched! for GAY TIMES - but it's essential listening for anyone wanting to know how to make it in any area of the audio industry. Aiwan has worked in composing, audio engineering, filmmaking and theatre, and in 2013 founded AiAi Studios (aiaistudios.com) so provides real value-for-money as a podcast guest. Aiwan's insights into her career and future aspirations will inspire anyone to try and make their passion profitable, and her candid and unfiltered approach made the interview a real pleasure to conduct and edit. This episode was recorded remotely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For more episodes please subscribe, follow the podcast on socials ( @jobinterviewpodcast on Facebook and Instagram) and follow @aiwanobinyan and @aiaistudios while you're there. Please feel free to send any feedback or future guest suggestions, your support is much appreciated :)
