Bible Verse of the Day | Hebrews 13:5 | A verse about money
Bible Verse of the Day | Hebrews 13:5 | A verse about money
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. Iamb Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you with a bit from our word or scripture and I hope the spirit works in it today for everything you need. We’re going to read from Hebrews 13 five keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have for he himself has said I will never leave you or for sake you Owe money, money, money we have such a interesting relationship of money. Don’t think we need it because our culture our society is based off of it. You have to eat and pay bills and take care of things and prepare for retirement and all sorts of things that work in our economy. Money is not the issue. It’s the love of money we are to be free from the love of money when you love something you devote yourself to it you sacrifice of yourself for it and while we need to make it sometimes we just need to trust that God is involved that God will help us get what we need and sometimes I have to ask myself if all goes wrong today what’s the worst case scenario and when we’re a part of the church more part of a loving family, the worst case is still not that bad, so let us be content with what we have, and trust in God. Bible Verse of the Day | Ephesians 2:8-9 | A verse about grace and faith
Bible Verse of the Day | Ephesians 2:8-9 | A verse about grace and faith
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on February 3 and we’re going to read from the letter written to the church of Ephesus Ephesians chapter 2 verses eight and nine and they read for by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing. It is the gift of God not the result of works, so that no one may boast, all Paul is touching on something that we all need to remember today because sometimes we start to think that faith has to do with what we do what we believe how we act what we do or don’t say, and while those can certainly bring good or bad circumstances and consequences. It’s good for us to remember that this faith that we have it was a gift. None of us earned it we didn’t struggle and find our way to it all on our own. It was given to us all that we have come to know, all that we are was simply by the love and the grace of God, and so pause, reminding them quit posting, quit comparing what you’re doing and not doing to other people and the things that they aren’t doing or are doing this is not about you this is about This is about the love of God revealed to us in Christ; what a gift! Bible Verse of the Day | Deuteronomy 31:6 | A verse about identity and fear
Bible Verse of the Day | Deuteronomy 31:6 | A verse about identity and fear
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on February 1, 2023. We’re going to hear from the book of Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse six and it reads be strong and bold. Have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord, your God, who goes with you he will not fail you or forsake you. This verse is addressing the Israelites, getting ready to enter the land of Canaan. They’ve been journeying for well over a generation learning how to be the people of God, a treasured possession, a kingdom of priests, and they’re going to go into a new land with a whole new set of challenges, and they are going to struggle to remember who they are and what they’ve seen we can identify with this we’ve gone into new areas in our life we’ve moved we start a new job new church we’ve just entered into new circumstances and especially if you’ve been called by God you were going to go into new and scary circumstances at times we are to remember who we are where to remember what we’ve seen what it is we have come to know when to remember whom we serve, and who walks with us every step of the way let us have no fear. Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:8 | A verse about right focus
Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:8 | A verse about right focus
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on Monday, January 30. We’re going to read from Philippians chapter 4 verse eight and it reads finally brothers and sisters whatever is true whatever is honorable whatever is just whatever is pure whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable if there’s any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things Pause, addressing a church in turmoil, I mean, when is it not right and they can get focused on the wrong things in and be tearing themselves down and then just be distracted and how many of us can identify with that in our friend groups, or in our families or in our job or workplace or in our churches, Paul saying you could focus on all the things that are going wrong, but is that really gonna help? Is it really going to move you forward? Is that gonna bring you in deeper relationship with God or with one another he says no turn to the things that are worthy of our attention that are worthy of praise the things that are true and honorable, just pure, pleasing and commendable. Let us focus on excellence and let us be the people that are moving forward. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | Matthew 6:33 | A verse about our needs
Bible Verse of the Day | Matthew 6:33 | A verse about our needs
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on Friday, January 27 and we’re going to read from the gospel account. We call Matthew chapter 6 verse 33 and it reads but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. All of these things Jesus is talking about in the sermon on the mount is the things that we worry about from day today what we will eat and what we will wear and we can add 100 other things to that every single day. I couldn’t wait if we’re honest but what Jesus is saying is all these things you think you want they’re going to lead you astray they don’t deliver if you seek God first in the kingdom, the activity and influence of God present on earth in God‘s people, if you seek the truth, the true life available to all of us right here, and now, and seek God‘s righteousness, which righteousness is another way to say justice, I mean, if we can have the kind of relationship with God where we see things correctly, we treat God correctly treat ourselves correctly treat others correctly, then our priorities all start to change and if we’re treating everybody correctly, well, it stands to reason we’re gonna have everything we need anyway. Bible Verse of the Day | Romans 8:28 | A verse about goodness
Bible Verse of the Day | Romans 8:28 | A verse about goodness
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m rubber and Joseph Sanford coming to you on this January 25, 2023 and we’re going to read from Romans chapter 8 verse 28 and it reads we know that all things work together for good for those who love God who are called according to God‘s purpose, that’s versus wildly, popular I’ve heard of many times as I’m sure you have and there are many ways to think about this. I invite you to data to pause the thoughts that all things happen because God has brought them to you or God's making them happen because... bad things happen sometimes and they don’t happen because God wants them to happen. We are given agency we are given choice. We are given free will to make decisions in the fact of the matter is, I can hurt people and they can hurt me. That doesn’t mean that God is doing that, but what it does mean is that as I encounter difficult times difficult people as I encounter, hurt and pain, I can give that to God and God can work in it and through it until one day my pain and my healing becomes a source of sustenance for someone else going through their own pain, so let us give it all to God. Bible Verse of the Day | 1 Peter 3:15 | A verse about hope
Bible Verse of the Day | 1 Peter 3:15 | A verse about hope
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on the 23rd day of January and we’re going to read from first Peter chapter 3 verse 15 and it reads but in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you and accounting for the hope that is in you. What a great verse we’re in a culture we’re in a time when everyone is defending their opinions and perspectives they’re defending their politics, their religion, their sports teams, you name it we’re always in defense mode army and that doesn’t really appeal to people people they get that way of life it’s seen everywhere far outside of the church. We are to be a people of hope we are to be the kind of people who serve Christ, is Lord so fully that all that we do exudes that hope the kind of hope that gets peoples attention in a way that being defensive, never cut. When’s the last time someone said hey tell me about your hope if we’re a people of hope then, by all means, let us be ready to explain to folks what it means why we have that hope but let us first start as people of hope. Bible Verse of the Day | 2 Timothy 3:16 | a verse about scripture
Bible Verse of the Day | 2 Timothy 3:16 | a verse about scripture
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and we are here back again. Turning to the word and today we’re going to read from second Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 and it reads all scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching for reproof for correction, and for training and righteousness Return to this particular verse quite a bit, and there’s much to say about it, particularly that the scripture Paul was referring to. It was what we refer to as our old testament. He’s trying to lift up that wall. The scripture may not seem to connect with the Gentiles of the day. It was all useful, and I think we need to remember that that sometimes we turn to passages in our scripture, and of course we encompass our New Testament with us understanding now as well everything in there is useful for teaching for reprove correction and training, and while we may not understand at all, we can trust that it can be useful the rabbis of the old days with celebrate when they came to a passage they didn’t understand they say thank you God for teaching me I still have more to learn thank God for that let us thank God for that Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | 2 Corinthians 12:9 | a verse about grace
Bible Verse of the Day | 2 Corinthians 12:9 | a verse about grace
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I’m rubber and Joseph Sanford here to bring you the word through Holy Spirit. The word may awaken in your heart today we read them in second Corinthians chapter 12 verse nine said to me my grace is sufficient for you. Power is made perfect in weakness, so I will boast all the more gladly at my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ means well in me, this is not always the answer to the prayer. We are seeking right we want things to change for the better when we are going through something old is no different, but what he received in response was sufficient for you get your given of faith it really is sufficient, and it may not be what we want in the moment, but the grace Matter how weak we may have an assured foundation in Christ so even in our moment of struggle, I’m home in a sorrow and we may need help through it. We still have a hope in our grace of Christ. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:7 | a verse about peace
Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:7 | a verse about peace
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford here to bring a word to bring you sustenance and I hope that this time together brings you some life and hope today Philippians chapter 4 verse seven and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus This word piece. We have much to say on it, but I’ll try to be quick. Peace comes from the word of the idea the understanding of shalom. It’s not the absence of conflict in the absence of anything it’s the presence of what matters peace with God the peace of God often refers to relationship, that whatever might stand in the way of us being closely and intimately connected of having the right kind of relationship peace the presence of peace means that we stand exactly where we shared the peace of God When we have the peace of God whatever it is, we’re dealing with struggling with whatever it is we’re confused about wherever our doubts are we can stand assured through Christ that between us and God there is peace. Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:6 | a verse about worry
Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:6 | a verse about worry
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford here to bring you a bit of encouragement of hope with the spirit that works through our holy word today we’re going to read from Philippians chapter 4 verse six do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. Don’t be anxious about anything OK easy done right no problem no no anxiety and worry it’s always on our minds and sometimes we then worry that we’re worrying and we shouldn’t be worrying which just compounds the problem. Give yourself grace my friends was that our goal to not be anxious about anything in the way we do that as we bring everything to God in our prayer. Thanking God, remembering all that there is to be thankful for when we surround ourselves, and soak our self in an attitude of gratitude, even when we are experiencing difficult her aura, uncomfortable circumstances, we can be grateful, simply that we’re alive to experience it, and eventually will start to trust more and more until we stop being so anxious Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | Romans 12:12 | A verse about hope
Bible Verse of the Day | Romans 12:12 | A verse about hope
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we continue today in this new year with all sorts of dreams and visions about what lie ahead we turn to Paul’s letter to the church in Romans chapter 12, verse 12. Rejoice in hope the patient in affliction persevere in prayer Paul, oh, Paul just wows us and his letter to the church and responding to the turmoil that is occurring because we’re always dealing with turmoil aren’t we personal turmoil communal turmoil he’s lifting up hope because biblical hope sustains us in all things when we have our eyes set to the future we know where we are heading, and that it is secure we can traverse whatever ground is in front of us. We can be patient when we are afflicted but we must persevere in prayer. This is important we got to stay focused we’ve got to stay centered. We’ve got to keep our eyes fixed on our hope that we may rejoice and remember no matter what is happening in our present a hardship we may be enduring through prayer. We can keep our eyes on that hold keep that joy in our heart and press on toward Jesus Christ. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:13 | A verse about strength
Bible Verse of the Day | Philippians 4:13 | A verse about strength
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford here to bring you a bit of good news here to help you encounter the spirit through the reading of the word and today we turn to Paul’s letter to the church and Philippi chapter 4 verse 13. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. We probably heard this verse before we probably said it, or thought it or leaned upon it at one time or another we want to make sure we consider what Paul was saying versus maybe what Paul wasn’t saying I have a coffee mug on my desk that says I can do all things through reverse, taken out of context and wow, we certainly can can’t wait. Paul has been talking to the church thanking them for their concern for him and lifting up that he’s been through good times and bad times because we all go through good times or bad times this too, shall pass no matter what season you are in now he draws upon Christ for strength who can help him endure no matter what and we can draw upon Christ’s strength to when the blessings come we call upon Christ when the hard times come we call upon cries because, through Him, we can do all things Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:14 - a verse about the living/tabernacling Word
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:14 - a verse about the living/tabernacling Word
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we have one extra day. This prologue goes 14 verses so we’re gonna do an extra day of bonus day as we continue with that 14th verse, and the word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory the glory as of a father‘s only son, full of grace and truth what a great finishing line to wrap up what it is we’re focused on this Christmas season as we continue into the rest of the year this word becoming flesh and lived among us that’s word for lived. It is really tented or tabernacle the among us dwell. Sometimes how we hear it the point is it goes where we go where children of God are moving wherever it is we we take this message and this power and I don’t just mean physically but where we take it the word comes with us. Jesus came in flesh, but continues to dwell among us in the spirit, so that we may continue to see the glory of God, we may continue to see that grace and truth, no matter where it is we go. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:13 - a verse on God's will
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:13 - a verse on God's will
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford coming to you on the 12th and final day of the Christmas season where we continue on the prologue John chapter 1 verse 13 who were born not a blood or of the will of the flash or of the will of man, but if God is for us, is referring to those who receive the power to be children of God, born in a new way, not a blood, like almost every other human being, that not related to your family line this isn’t the world, a flash, the season are ambition and desire, and what it is that we’ve decided to do. It’s not the world of humanity at South. This is not something we can control. It’s not something we can define. It is of God, but how hard we work to try to control and to find at all how hard we work to box it in to control the very power of the work of God in the word today we try to decide who’s and who’s out who believes who’s right who’s wrong we do everything we can to bend this power to our will, but friends, that is not where it comes from nor the way it’s going, but I’ve God Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:12 - a verse about believing
Welcome to today's Bible verse. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford and I come to you on this 11th day of Christmas continuing and John chapter 1 verse four chapter one continuing and John chapter 1 verse 12 this beautiful prologue of the word, but you all who received him who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God, what a beautiful follow up to yesterday and this idea of missing it, not excepting it because there were plenty who did who did and the only way they could and they were always the people you least expected to understand it and grasp it, and become part of it the religious leaders the Bible experts of Jesus, state are the ones that missed it. It was all the people who were so desperate, were looking beyond themselves for the answers that received Jesus in the wonderful groundbreaking category destroying things that he did they believed in his name God with us, Emmanuel Laura’s actual name is God saves, they believed, and he gave them power in that belief. They could finally open their eyes and heart to know they belong to God. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:11 - a verse about acceptance
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford and we continue on this 10th day of Christmas. You might be singing 10 words of leaping or maybe you’ve already put your decorations away for the year. We’re going to continue on with verse 11 came to what was his own and his own people did not except him we read this line and maybe we think we’re disconnected from it I mean, how could they miss it right there is on people we wouldn’t miss it all we will and we do so many times we can look at other churches and other people and we’ve been a part of conversations where another group has been looked at another group of Christians in this we might say something like well. We just preach the Bible here I don’t know what they’re doing. Do you think any church thinks that they’re not preaching the Bible any group of Christians thinks that they don’t have the answers me we all do we have the certainty we have these preconceived notions week close the door quite a bit to new perspectives and new ideas just like Jesus on people dead it’s good for us to sit with this verse and really truly consider. Do we always recognize Jesus at work could we possibly miss what God is doing? Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:10 - a verse on the word and the world
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:10 - a verse on the word and the world
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford and we continue on the ninth day of Christmas and John chapter 1 this prologue this beautiful intro to the gospel verse 10 he was in the world and the world came into been through him yet the world did not know him we’re back to the story of the word and flash of Jesus being in the world. John the writer of the gospel writer is making that clear the whole world came into being through and everything everyone, all of it is connected to the word it all shares apart of the word, because it all came through him. We should all have some sort of feeling of connection him and knowledge, and some familiarity with the word, this comes in all sorts of forms, and each one of us has a different story of how we relate how we connect to, and understand Christ, how we have come to understand, and be a part of the word ourselves even those who don’t know who remain in the darkness you’re still part of it it’s good for us to remember that to look at them as potential children of the light Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:9 - A verse about enlightenment
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:9 - A verse about enlightenment
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford, and we continue on this eighth day of Christmas turning to the gospel of John. Once again continuing the prologue chapter 1 verse nine. The true light, which in lightens everyone was coming into the world. I love this verse this verse reminds us that we are all invited into this process of enlightenment, and I know sometimes that word is had other cultures and ideas attached to it, but the whole idea is that we all glimpse of little more of the truth, it lightens us. It turns the light a little brighter, so that the dark parts of our minds and our souls are our ignorance. If you will, that which we don’t know that which we don’t understand, continues to recede, because when we have Christ in our life when we spend our life being disciples following Jesus Christ. It will change everything. It doesn’t happen in one moment it is a life long process want to which we say yes, every single day, and every moment the true light is coming into the world are you ready to be enlightened? Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:8 - a verse about not being the light
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:8 - a verse about not being the light
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford, and we continue on the seventh day of the Christmas season as we turn to John chapter 1 verse seven he himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light John’s purpose again pointing to the light, we think of them like the moon bright the moon produces no light itself. It simply reflects from the sun, so the true light, even when not visible can still be seen through the moon just like we sometimes enter into dark spaces and we’re not sure that people are able to see Christ themselves, but we are to reflect that light. We are not the light, but in the way, that we live the way that we think and speak and act the innermost thoughts that we have always come out in the way that we act and speak to others we are to be a testimony to the light. We are not the light, but we are to reflect the light so we gotta be prayerful. We gotta be mindful we’ve got to be ready and focused at all times so that people may see the light through us. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:7 - a verse about testifying to the light
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:7 - a verse about testifying to the light
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and we continue on this sixth day of Christmas telling the story of the white as it’s told in the gospel of John chapter 1 now, verse seven he came as a witness to the light so that all might believe through him. This passage continues with the story of John in this beautiful poem, this epic prologue to this incredible gospel John the baptizer came on the scene sent from God to witness to testify to the light to be a beacon to point the way not to himself, or even his words, but to the light itself in Christ, so that all my belief we need to turn our focus to the light. There are lots of people out there, who want all the attention for themselves, and if we’re honest, we do that too we like knowing about the faith and having people look to us, but we need to follow John’s example to testify to the light to give all the glory the power and the focus on Jesus Christ, so that all might believe through us as they did through John. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:6 - A verse about John being sent by God
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:6 - A verse about John being sent by God
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we are well into the Christmas season. We’re going to continue today with John chapter 1 verse six as we tell the story of the light there was a man sent from God whose name was John the seems like almost a throwaway line doesn’t it just kind of set. The scene just tells her something that we already know for any of us who have spent any time in the church we know John the second cousin to Jesus related somehow and baptize people you might known as John the Baptist as we’ve talked about already in this versus of advent in Christmas. John is every bit as much. A part of the story is Jesus‘s house God, Joseph, or Mary or Zachariah or Elizabeth John is an important piece. He sets the stage he has sent from God. He was intended. He has a purpose. We hear his story we hear his testimony, we understand who he was because it helps us understand who we are called to be because all of us who have received the good news are sent from God to the world around us. Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:5 - a verse about Light and Darkness
Bible Verse of the Day | John 1:5 - a verse about Light and Darkness
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and we continue on our Christmas Journey to the Gospel we call John continuing with chapter 1 verse five concerning the word flesh. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. This simple little line contains so much power… so much imagery. It’s important for us to remember that Jesus is often described as the light, particularly in this gospel, but light has its own power light cannot be stopped in the darkness. Darkness is simply the absence of light, so when you walk into a dark room, and you flip the light on the darkness doesn’t have a say so in the matter; the darkness is gone because the light always overpowers it. So let us remember when we think about Jesus as the light in our lives, the light in our hearts delight that guides us, the light that shows us the way they cannot be over, there’s nothing to challenge of darkness has no say in the matter. It didn’t then, and it doesn’t now and it never will. Let us celebrate the Light. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - John 1:4 - A verse about Light and Life
Bible Verse of the Day - John 1:4 - A verse about Light and Life
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford and in this Christmas season we continue in the journey of our gospel we call John concerning the word concerning Christ concerning the cosmic element of it all as we continue in chapter 1 verse four what us coming to being in him was life and the life was the light of all people all things came to be through the word all was intentional with purpose and that includes the life and the light of all people what we understand is the truth this grace the thing that enlightens us if you want to use that term analogy that’s so popular in the gospel of John light and dark being aware scene recognizing knowing all refers to light Everything that came to be through the word west for us to wake up to the way things are the way things should be to see things more clearly that we might then respond and move into the light more and more and find life so let us this Christmas season reflect upon this light in the way we’ve come to see it and fully acknowledge and embody the kind of light that is available to all people many of which are still in the dark Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - John 1:3 - A verse on the intent of all Creation
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford and we continue this Christmas season journey through the gospel be called John continuing with chapter 1 verse three more concerning the word and flesh all things came into being through him and without him not one thing came into being we’re getting a real clear message that everything that has been created all that was originally intended with order and purpose from the chaos of those deep dark Waters of Genesis 1 all of it not only came from God but in God‘s presence God‘s oneness with the word the same word that is now with us and Jesus Christ everything everything came in to being through the word and while we certainly don’t understand every single thing and what its purpose is we can have faith we can trust to put 1 foot in front of the other no matter what we are facing no matter what comes across our path it was all put here with some sort of purpose every person every instant every moment so may we give God our thanks Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - John 1:2 - A verse about the ever-present God "with us"
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford merry Christmas it’s Christmas day it’s not the day we mark because that’s when the kingdom all began in the flesh in person and Jesus and so we continue with John chapter 1 verse two he was in the beginning with God we learned about the word yesterday and we’re gonna be thinking about the word every day of course but especially this Christmas season the word was in the beginning with God before all things came into being the essence of God the logic of God was already there what we experienced in Jesus Christ the flesh in the blood in the sweat and the tears and the laughter in the all that he is as a human being just like us we experience the word that was with God in the very beginning of all things they sat side-by-side and while there’s lots of theological dancing to be done to explain that we just trust that what we find in Jesus Christ and then the Holy Spirit what’s the thing that has been with God since the very beginning of all things we remember, this day, the coming of the divine Message brought to you by Rev. Welcome to Bible verse of the day I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we began a 13 day journey through the Christmas season beginning on today Christmas Eve a special day and we begin with the gospel of John. Here’s chapter 1 verse one in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God one of the most famous prologue says these first 14 verses of John through which we will work and we start at the beginning Access back to Genesis in the beginning those words were meant to go all the way back to understand the work of God is it been building for the coming of Christ the word we say that in Greek logos it means the essence the logic of all that God is all the gods about this idea is all present what is present in the beginning it was with God was God and we find that this word and understanding it is where we begin the story of Jesus because we come to know that Jesus is the word the essence of God the logic of God the way that God has always thought and always been and always will be began at the beginning Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Matthew 3:12 - A verse on the work of the Holy Spirit
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I am Rev. Joseph Sanford and we finish out our advent walk through the live through the words the ministry the message the wisdom of John the Baptist we conclude with Matthew 3 verse 12 his winnowing fork is in his hand and he will clear his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the granary but the Chaffee will burn with unquenchable fire Nothing like a good heartwarming message from John the baptizer what we have is it a good sign of hope using the image of farming and harvesting because the way you would do that as you would throw the whole grain chaff and all into the air and the wind would come and push the things that didn’t belong from the pile until all you had left was the grain this is the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts we continue to struggle and trust that Christ is at work in our lives when we pray when we worship together when we participate in the life ministries of the church and service to Jesus over time all of our outpouring of our giving of our loving it brings forth the life and at the same time what’s pushed away through the spirit is that which leads us in the opposite direction trust and the work of Christ of the season Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Matthew 3:11 - A verse on baptism, the Holy Spirit, and fire
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we continue with the story of John the baptizer during this advent season as we read from our gospel recall Matthew chapter 3 verse 11 it reads I baptize you with water for repentance but the one who was coming after me is more powerful than I and I am not worthy to carry his sandals he will baptize you with the holy spirit and fire white verse baptism is such an important part of our expression of faith in every denomination does it differently and I think that’s beautiful the point of the whole occasion the whole sacrament is that we acknowledge the work of the Holy Spirit coming into our lives not just to give us some new sense of emotion now the Holy Spirit and fire That fire works on our hearts to burn away that which does not belong trusting in the work of the Holy Spirit to purify us the refiners fire in our hearts to guide us to teach us to lead us onward to mold us to make us that we may come to know life and a life of following Jesus Christ Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Matthew 3:8 - A verse on a life of repentance
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and we continue on our movement through Matthew chapter 3 the word the ministry of John the baptizer in this advent season here are the words to some religious leaders therefore Barefruit worthy of repentance what John’s dealing with our leaders who think that their status is going to be enough for them in the eyes of God and while we certainly have a loving God who makes us worthy through the blood of Christ what we hear in the message from long ago for our lives today is that repentance is not just some ritual we perform it’s not just words that we say repentance is a way of life John compares the actions of these leaders in our actions as well to fruit on a tree Tree can say it’s an apple tree or orange tree all day long but what’s going to prove it as if it produces the right fruit we are people of fruit we are to bear the fruit of repentance which comes in the form of giving to those who don’t have as much it comes in the form of being content with what we’re paid it comes with not exploiting our power it comes with spreading the light of Christ to the world around us Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Matthew 3:3 - A verse on preparation for the coming of Christ
Welcome to Bible verse of the day I’m Reverend Joseph Sanford and we’re going to continue in Matthew with chapter 3 verse three the words that John spoke from Isaiah which brings us to one of our main Advent messages as we prepare this is the one of whom the prophet Isaiah spoke when he said the voice of one crying out in the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord make his pads straight This message comes to us from the voice of the Baptizer so long ago but we tell the story of advent looking backward at the coming of Christ and the child while we look forward to the second coming of Christ when all things will be set right and we hear the words appropriately prepare prepare the Way of the Lord we sometimes get so caught up in distractions and we get fixated on all the wrong things that we end up in quite a mess we tire lives in a bunch of knots this is an invitation to remember where it’s all headed to the promise already accomplished in Christ and as we prepare for the great day when things are all made right we begin that work today so let us prepare the Way of the Lord and our own hearts make the path straight Message brought to you by Rev. Welcome to Bible verse of the day. My name is Rev., Joseph Sanford, and today we’re going to continue in Proverbs with chapter 3 verse six this continues on from where we were just the other day about wisdom, and all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths. Wow if we acknowledge God and everything we were experiencing if we took time when we got up in the morning when we brushed our teeth when we ate our breakfast when we left our house when we arrived where we were where we ate meals before we had conversations with people before we entered into meetings when somebody says some thing that we don’t really like if we stopped, and everyone of these moments and all the rest of the day, and acknowledge God, for all of the goodness for all of the love, for all of the wisdom that we have at our disposal in our faith through our scripture through our sisters and brothers of the church if we started first, by acknowledging God, how much better would we live our day our decisions our thoughts, our actions they would be made straight may you have grace and peace https://youthgroupministry.com/lessons/youth-ministry-lesson-on-making-godly-choices-proverbs-35-6/ https://10bibleverses.com/scripture-passages/proverbs-3/ Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Proverbs 3:5 - A scripture verse on wisdom
Bible Verse of the Day - Proverbs 3:5 - A scripture verse on wisdom
Welcome in the Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford today we will read Proverbs chapter 3 verse five a passage on wisdom as it pertains to us and God trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight, we have such a limited view of our lives, and of the world, and of what’s happening around us we can only see one direction we can only look back we can’t even properly look into the future even if we have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen we reflect backwards, and we try to let it guide us moving forward, but even then how limited are we we kind of know our own intentions we have no idea of the true intentions of people around us we don’t really know the whole story about much of anything as much as we might think we do. We can turn on plenty of new stations and listen to Bonnia Fouts or tell us they know what’s going on but they don’t, so whatever is happening whatever you’re dealing with bring it to God and prayer and trust that God will be with you to reveal what it is you need and may you have grace and peace Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Genesis 1:1 - A Scripture verse on creation
Welcome in the Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford, and today we’re going to begin at the beginning Genesis one verse one the opening words of all of our scripture heard maybe differently when God began to create the heavens and the earth that’s the verse you might be used to it being in the beginning God created, but it can be translated when God began to create the heavens and the earth either way what we find in the opening phrase of the scripture of all that we’ve come to call our holy word we find that it is God, who is at work it is God who made a choice to bring order. It is God who brought design and plants. It is God, who operated out of the desire to create and not only create things, but create things that create things, and so part of our calling, that we find the story again, and again is to be like our God to be in gods image that we might create create beauty, create things in the sky, and on the earth partition, repeat with our maker by making things may we do this and may it bring us grace and peace https://youthgroupministry.com/lessons/youth-bible-lesson-genesis-1-god-the-creator-your-creative-life/ https://ministry-to-children.com/lesson-god-made-you-special/ Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Romans 8:28 - Scripture passage on faith
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford and today we’re going to read Romans chapter 8 verse 28. This letter from Paul to the church in Rome brings us so much good news and it reads we know that all things work together for good for those who love God called according to God‘s purpose This verse allows us to have some freedom. We can relax when things don’t go as planned when bad situation occur or maybe we just mess up or maybe we’re just dealing with things out of our control God does not bring these bad things upon a spot God will work through all things to bring good through the things that we endure. This is the hope the good news of our lives, which experience brokenness and difficulties sadness. Some of us have an incredible amount of pain right now, but one day This pain all that we’re experiencing God can work good through it, so don’t give up on God because God has certainly not given up on you God is right there with you in the thick of it all, and may that bring you Grace and peace. Bible Verse of the Day - Jeremiah 29:11 - Scripture passage on hope
Welcome to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and today we’re gonna spend time with Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11, one that is well known and worth our reflection and it reads her. Surely I know the plans I have for you says the lord plans for your welfare and not for harm to give you a future with this verse speaks pretty loudly against the idea that God bring suffering into our lives God does not bring suffering brains bad things happen, because we live in a world where we have a choice we have free will, and some people choose to act in ways that aren’t for their own good, or for the good of others and we are left with the consequences just as others are left With consequences of our choices. There are 8 billion people things go wrong, but that doesn’t mean that God does not have a plan for you that is why we are called that is why we are invited on this journey this path of discipleship, following Jesus Christ to help bring this world more in line with the kingdom of God, grace and Peace. Bible Verse of the Day - Luke 3:4 - Scripture verse for Advent
Welcome here to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and today we’re gonna spend time with Luke chapter 3 verse four what summarizes the message of our advent time from John the Baptist as it is written in the book of the Words of the Prophet Isaiah, the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. We anticipate this time of Christmas this year.  Jesus has not been born yet in our calendar as we tell the story we are preparing the way by telling the story of old while we also hold the story of our future hand-in-hand, because Jesus will come back, and we are to hear the voice once more and prepare the Way of the Lord, make his pads straight, so where, in your life, do you find things, not as they could be, or should be, where have you not been experiencing the love of God, and following Jesus as a disciple this isn’t a guilt trip. This is an invitation to be ready to prepare the way that we might make room in our heart for Christ, grace and peace. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - John 3:16 - Scripture Quote on God's Love
Bible Verse of the Day - John 3:16 - Scripture Quote on God's Love
Welcome man to Bible verse of the day. I am Rev., Joseph Sanford, and today we’re going to spend time with John chapter 3 verse 16 one of the most well-known and quoted verses in all of our scripture, and it begins for God, so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life This just kind of sums up what we’re all about as Christians this brings it all together in a simple package, and I invite us to reflect upon the whole verse. Sometimes we can get caught up in the last part of the verse about believing so that we don’t perish that we might have eternal life. We skip over the opening of this verse, for God, so loved the world that he gave his only son. It all starts with love, friends God’s love for us. That’s why Jesus came. That’s why we have a gospel time, reflecting on the opening of this verse the foundation of it all, and then bring your grace and peace. Message brought to you by Rev. Bible Verse of the Day - Proverbs 17:22 - Scripture Quote on Health
Bible Verse of the Day - Proverbs 17:22 - Scripture Quote on Health
Having a Bible verse of the day can be a great way to start your day off on the right foot. It can help to center you and give you a focus for the day ahead. But more than that, it can also help to improve your spiritual health. The Bible is full of wisdom and guidance, and spending even just a few moments each day reading its verses can help to improve your relationship with God. It can also help you to better understand His will for your life. In a world that is often chaotic and fast-paced, taking a moment each day to reflect on God's word can be a powerful way to bring peace and calm into your life. So why not make a habit of starting each day with a Bible verse? It could be the best decision you ever make for your spiritual health. When it comes to living healthy lives, the Bible is an excellent source of wisdom. Many verses are about health and well-being, and many of them offer great advice. Today we are reading some of the most important Bible verses regarding health and well-being. We'll discuss how to be healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally. These Bible verses will help you live a healthy lifestyle. Proverbs 17:22 ESV A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. In Proverbs 17:22, we are given a profound insight into the connection between our emotions and our physical health. The Bible tells us that a joyful heart is good medicine, while a crushed spirit dries up the bones. This verse instructs us that our emotional state can have a direct impact on our physical wellbeing. When we are happy and content, our bodies tend to be healthier and stronger. Conversely, when we are stressed or anxious, our physical health suffers. This verse reminds us of the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and finding joy in the midst of life's challenges. It is only when we have a joyful heart that we can truly enjoy good health. The Bible is a living and active book, and every day we can find new meaning in its verses. A Bible verse of the day can help us to connect with God's word and deepen our spiritual understanding. By reflecting on the verse each day, we can apply its message to our lives and grow in our faith. Additionally, a daily Bible verse can provide comfort and hope in times of trouble. When we are struggling, God's word can be a source of strength and encouragement. Therefore, having a Bible verse of the day is an important part of maintaining a healthy spiritual life. Daily Bible Verse for Christian Devotionals Today Having a Bible verse of the day can be a great way to start your day off on the right foot. Verse of the Day June 16, 2022 is John 10:30 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer Jesus said, "I and the Father are One"
Verse of the Day June 16, 2022 is John 10:30 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer Jesus said, "I and the Father are One"
What is the verse from the Bible for today, June 16th? Which day of the year, according to the annual calendar, is June 16? The scripture of today, John 10:30, is where Jesus said in the ESV, “I and the Father Are One.” As Father's Day nears, let's not forget that there is a Father in Heaven who's perfect in all things and that we have access through Jesus Christ to his love. John 10:30 Daily Scriptures for June 16 John 10:30(ESV) I and the Father are one." (KJV) I and my Father are one. (MSG) I and the Father are one heart and mind." (NIV) I and the Father are one." (NLT) The Father and I are one." 16 June Biblical Reflection & Devotional It is common to use the term "unity" to describe the relationship between Jesus Christ and his Father. John 10:30: Jesus said "I and my Father are one." There are many interpretations of this statement, but the common one is that Jesus and his Father are united in purpose. This does not mean they are identical, but they are working together towards the same goal. This passage can also be understood as an affirmation of equality. Jesus claims to be equal to the Father. He is not saying that he is equal with God in all ways, but rather that he has the same nature and attributes of the Father. It doesn't matter how you interpret this passage, but it is clear that Jesus has a special relationship with the Father. This gives us an insight into God's nature and purpose. Reflecting on the Bible verse today, we can see that Jesus is more than a human being born with a special connection with God. He is actually the incarnation of God Himself. Because He is one in the Father, He also is one in us. We are united with Him when we place our faith in Jesus. This union gives us strength and hope in the face of all life's challenges and trials. This verse shows us that Christ is always with us, and we are never alone. When we think about this verse, remember that Jesus is more than a historical figure. Jesus is the Lord and Savior, who wants to establish a personal relationship between each of us. Let us trust in His faithful love and take comfort in His promises. Today's Prayer for 16 June We are so thankful for Jesus Christ's gift, Dear Lord. We have access to God through Him and to eternal life. We are grateful for Your kindness and grace and thank You for all the blessings you have bestowed on us. We need to remember that salvation is only through Christ, and that we cannot live without Him. Give us the wisdom and strength we need to share Your Good News with others so that they may also experience the joy of a relationship. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Today's scripture is John 10:30, where Jesus declares in the ESV "I and The Father Are One."

Wednesday June 15, 2022 Bible Verse of the Day is John 3:18 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer "No Condemnation in Christ"
Wednesday June 15, 2022 Bible Verse of the Day is John 3:18 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer "No Condemnation in Christ"
John 3:18 is today’s Bible verse in which Jesus talks about our freedom from condemnation by believing in his saving work on The Cross. John 3:18 is Jesus' statement that "Whoever believes is not condemned; but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because they haven't believed in God's one-and-only Son." This verse is a strong reminder of the importance faith. We are not condemned as believers because we believe in Jesus. Those who don't believe are already condemned because they haven't believed in the One who can save them. This verse should be a reminder to all who don't know Christ to share the gospel with them, so they can have forgiveness and eternal life. It also reminds us of the importance of keeping our faith strong so we don't get condemned. John 3:18 Daily Bible Verse for Jun 15 John 3:18 (ESV)  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. (KJV)  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (MSG)  Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. (NIV)  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (NLT)  “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 15 June Scripture reading and reflection for today Realizing that we are not the only ones in this world is powerful. Our Heavenly Father has made it possible for us to share eternal life with Him. This is possible because He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save it. It is not to condemn it but to show us how to live eternally. This is a wonderful act of God's love. It is something we can all do by reflecting on His Word, and allowing it change our lives. This will help us become more like Christ, and allow us to share His love with others. It is amazing to realize that we can be a part of God's salvation plan!

Tuesday June 14, 2022 Bible Verse of the Day is John 3:17 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer "Jesus Came To Save"
Tuesday June 14, 2022 Bible Verse of the Day is John 3:17 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer "Jesus Came To Save"
The verse of the day for June 14th is from John chapter 3 verse 17. This is a beautiful promise from God’s Word that Jesus came to save, not judge or condemn us. Sometimes we assume being a follower of Jesus means being a good person. God knew our sin, but didn’t send his Son to cast judgement but share salvation. John 3:17 Verse of the Day for June 14th (ESV)  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (KJV)  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (MSG)  God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. (NIV)  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (NLT)  God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. Today's Spiritual Reflection and Devotional When I read John 3:17, I am always struck by the compassionate heart of God. He didn't come to this world to condemn us or to find fault with us. He came to help us. He came to put the world right again. And that is such a beautiful thing. We live in a world that is so full of hurt and pain. There is so much division and turmoil. But God reminds us that he is not content to leave us in that state. He came to heal us and to bring us back into right relationship with him. And that is such good news for all of us. No matter what we have done or where we find ourselves in life, God is always ready and willing to help us get back on track. All we need to do is turn to him and ask for his help. And he will be there for us, just as he has promised. Prayer for Today Heavenly Father, we thank You that You did not send Jesus into the world to condemn it, but rather to save it. We acknowledge that we are sinners in need of a Savior, and we praise You that You provided that Savior in the person of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that You would use us as Your instruments to proclaim the Good News of salvation to a lost and dying world. Help us to be bold in our witness, sharing the message of hope with those who are trapped in a cycle of sin and despair. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

June 12, 2022 Bible Verse of the Day is Psalm 127:3 | Daily Devotional, Scripture Reading, and Prayer "Children are God's Reward"
Today's Bible verse is Psalm127:3. This scripture speaks about the blessing and great value of children. The Bible praises parenting and raising children in every instance. This passage teaches us that children are God’s greatest gift and a reward for the Lord. Psalms 127:3 Bible Verse Daily (ESV)  Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. (KJV)  Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (MSG)  Don’t you see that children are GOD’s best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy? (NIV)  Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. (NLT)  Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. June 12, 2022 Scripture Reflection and Daily Devotional Psalms 127:3 reminds us that our children are a gift of the Lord. Children are a source for great joy but also carry a lot of responsibility. We as parents must take every precaution to ensure that they are well-cared for and protected. It means providing a loving and safe home, food, shelter, and teaching them the right and wrong ways. This means instilling in them a love and desire for God as well as a willingness to live according to His will. Psalms 127:3 reminds that our children are not ours - they belong the Lord. We must love them the way He wants us to. Only then will we be able to watch them become happy, healthy adults who love the Lord and serve Him with all of their hearts. Prayer of the Day for June 12 Heavenly Father, today we are here to express our gratitude for the blessing of children. We are so thankful for them all. We ask that you watch over them and provide protection for them. Your love will fill their hearts and lead them to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Amen. It's also a good reminder that we can trust God to take care of us, no matter what challenges we face. So whatever challenges you face this summer, remember that God is in control and He will see you through. Psalm 74:17 (ESV) You have fixed all the boundaries of the earth; you have made summer and winter. Daily Bible Devotional for the 10th of June Psalm 74:17 is a verse that speaks to the idea of God's Sovereignty. It says, "You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter." This is a reminder that no matter what season we are in, or what country we live in, God is still in control. We can trust Him to lead us and guide us, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in. So whatever season you are currently facing, remember that God is still on the throne, and He will never leave you or forsake you. Prayer for June 10 Heavenly Father, we come to You today acknowledging that we don’t always trust Your control. We so easily take matters into our own hands instead of relinquishing them to You. We know that trusting in Your sovereignty is not always easy, but we also know it is always best. So today we ask for Your help. Would You give us eyes to see that You are still on the throne even when things around us are shaking? Help us to remember that this life is not all there is and that our true home is in heaven with You. Thank You that no matter what happens here on earth, we can trust that You are still good and still in control. Amen. Read more daily Bible verses on our website.

Bible Verse about War: What does God's Word say about War in the Holy Scriptures. Matthew 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed.
What does Jesus Christ say about War in the Bible? The words of Jesus in Matthew 24:6 have always been timely, but perhaps never more so than they are today. In a world that seems to be increasingly divided, we are seeing the rise of tribalism and violence. Jesus says that we should not be alarmed by this, because it is part of the human condition. However, we must not lose hope, because the end is not yet. Jesus went on to say that wars and rumors of wars would precede his return. We see these things happening all around us, and it can be easy to lose hope. But even in the darkest of times, we must remember that Jesus is coming back. He will put an end to all war and violence, and there will be peace on earth at last. So let us hold on to hope, and wait for the day when Jesus returns to make all things new.  Matthew 24:6 ESV And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Bible Verse of the Day Acts 16:9-10 Come Over to Macedonia and Help: This scripture quote is the missionary's calling to share the Gospel, an inspiring evangelism Bible verse for today.
Bible Verse of the Day Acts 16:9-10 Come Over to Macedonia and Help: This scripture quote is the missionary's calling to share the Gospel, an inspiring evangelism Bible verse for today.
Today's Bible Verse is from Acts 16:9-10 The Macedonian Call Acts 16:10 (ESV)  And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. (KJV)  And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. (MSG)  The dream gave Paul his map. We went to work at once getting things ready to cross over to Macedonia. All the pieces had come together. We knew now for sure that God had called us to preach the good news to the Europeans. (NIV)  After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. (NLT)  So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there. https://10bibleverses.com/scripture-quotes/come-over-to-macedonia-and-help-us-acts-169/ In the Bible, Paul was visited by a man from Macedonia who asked him to “come over and help us.” This wasn't your average request for church membership--this person likely lived in or near Phillipi (which is located within Roman province of Macedon), which means they were most certainly part-way through their journey when this correspondence began; it's also possible that he saw Christianity as just what these people needed after all these years spent fighting abroad against enemies without immunity or hope at home alone while waiting patiently on protection promised but never delivered until finally someone came along saying "I know how you feel."  What is the meaning of Acts 16:9-10 for Christians today? In Acts 16:9-10, we see Paul and his companions on a journey to spread the gospel. They are traveling from city to city, preaching about Jesus Christ and His saving power. As they are going about their work, they receive a vision from God directing them to go to Macedonia. This is an important passage for Christians today because it reminds us that we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world. We are called to be bold in our witness, even when it means going to places we may not feel comfortable. We are called to take risks for the sake of the gospel, and trust that God will lead us to those who need to hear His message of hope and salvation. This passage challenges us to step out in faith and share the love of Christ with a lost and hurting world. https://10bibleverses.com/scripture-quotes/evangelism-scriptures-bible-verses-on-soul-winning-and-evangelism/ Who told Paul to come over to Macedonia in Acts 16:9? Paul was told by a Macedonian man in a vision to come over and help them. This is found in Acts 16:9-10. The Bible verse of the day comes from that same passage, Vs 9 - "And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; A man of Macedonia was standing and pleading with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”  It's so wonderful when God uses Dreams and Visions to guide us! Sometimes he gives us scriptures specifically for that day that we can apply to our lives. Other times He encourages us through inspirational quotes or songs. There have even been moments when someone has said something completely encounters but it speaks directly to our current heart.

Daily Bible Verse about Time: Psalm 90:2 KJV So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Scripture quote on the importance of time.
How we spend our time each day is a reflection of what matters most to us. For the believer, our time should be spent with an eternal perspective in mind. The Bible tells us that time is a gift from God and it is to be used wisely. Psalm 90:2 says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." This verse reminds us that time is precious and it should be used for things that matter most. When we live with an understanding of the brevity of life, it changes the way we spend our time. We are careful not to waste time on things that don't matter and instead use our time for things that will have eternal significance. This doesn't mean we never rest or have fun, but it does mean that we are intentional about how we spend our time each day. Let us be wise stewards of the time God has given us. https://10bibleverses.com/scripture-quotes/bible-verse-about-time/ Psalm 90:12 Verse of the Day Psalms 90:12 (ESV)  So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. (KJV)  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (MSG)  Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! (NIV)  Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (NLT)  Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. More Bible Verses about Time God's Word is full of references to time. In the Old Testament, time is often represented by days, weeks, months, and years. In the New Testament, Jesus often speaks about time in terms of eternity. Here are some verses that mention time: "For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night" ( Psalm 90:4). "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day" ( 2 Peter 3:8). "So teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" ( Psalm 90:12). "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil" ( Ephesians 5:15-16). "Now is the time for salvation" ( 2 Corinthians 6:2). "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil" ( Ephesians 5:16). "And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" ( 2 Timothy 3:15-17). "But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life" ( Jude 1:20-21). "Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near" ( James 5:7-8).
