Coach Deion Sanders and the Black Coaching Landscape in College Football

Coach Deion Sanders and the Black Coaching Landscape in College Football

How Coach Sanders is changing the landscape of college football.

85 to 95% of football coaches honestly can not relate to the majority of the players on their teams.

He is going to build his team his way and the majority of college football coaches do NOT like it. (Lee Corso Comments)

Coach Sanders relates and connects with these players on multiple levels(a former college player, he is from the hood, and he is also a father of athletes) and shows his players that he cares.

He is getting players to believe and Paul Finnebaum on the Matt Barrie Show said, "That can cause an epidemic."

Why Oklahoma and Texas need to stay where they are in the Big 12 and not join the SEC?

Why Oklahoma and Texas need to stay where they are in the Big 12 and not join the SEC?

As of last week The University of Texas and University of Oklahoma have made it publicly known that they are making preparations to join the SEC. Many SEC fans are wondering why and they have good reason to ask why should we let them in.  Now, from a football perspective one reason why OU and Texas over the last 20 or so years have been the icons and face of the conference especially when it comes to the style of play. OU is the defecto powerhouse of the Big 12 and there is no team in the country has put up the offensive number OU has over the last 4 years until LSU did in 2019 on their way to their national championship. Texas has not been relevant in over 11 years and has changed coaches 3 times and they have also been in championship form since 2009 when they lost the Alabama in the national championship. Now, lets look at the numbers. Oklahoma and Texas combined are 7-7 against the SEC since 2011, but against the SEC Elite they are a combined 0-5. Oklahoma averages 10 wins a season since 2011, but if they join the SEC that win drops to an average of 9 to possibly as low as 7 wins per season because the Sooners defense is not competitive enough again the top teams in the SEC where defense reigns supreme in the conference. Texas averages 6 to 7 wins consistently, but with their current defense and offense; if the Longhorns were to play in the SEC they would consistently win 5 to 6 games a year.  Well, in Oklahoma's case they will go from being at the Top of the Big 12 to the middle of the pack in the SEC. Texas will pretty much stay in the middle as well as they have for the last decade.  From a revenue perspective, Texas is the highest grossing college football program in the nation and right now Texas and OU generate almost 50% of the conferences revenue by themselves.  They would both have to share revenue in the SEC so that everything is on an equal plane in the SEC; whereas the Sooners and Longhorns are the 2 renegade powers of the conference and have did and gotten whatever they wanted which prompted the departure of Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Missouri almost a decade ago.  Hypothetically, if Oklahoma and Texas were to join the SEC they both would have to pay the Big 12 upwards of $79 Million dollars each plus an exit fee that could be anything from $8 to $12 Million dollars.  The departure of the Longhorns and Sooners would not just effect the Big 12, but it would realign every conference which means that the term "power 5" team or conference would no longer be valid and would either lead the Big 12 to take in 2 teams or just have an outright champion out of 10 teams.

Black People Talking Bad About HBCUs Part 1

Black People Talking Bad About HBCUs Part 1

Season 3 Premier and revival of the 10Se7en Live Show Podcast.
Black People Talking Bad About HBCUs Part 1: Guest Co-Host: Dave "Dee" Fletcher
Discussing why black people speaking negatively on HBCUs is problematic in an age where black students are not even safe to be black at Ivy League schools like Yale, Princeton, or even Harvard. In an elevated racial climate that looks and feels a whole lot like the 1960s. Also, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders taking the head football coaching job at Jackson State is also changing the landscape of not just college football, but HBCU sports period. We will be discussing our experiences at an HBCU, the friendships, the campus life, and the HBCU culture even with the negative backlash of black people.

Oprah Winfrey: The Rich Clout Chaser

Oprah Winfrey: The Rich Clout Chaser

A week ago Oprah Winfrey the richest black woman in American and Entertainment did an interview entitled, Leaving Neverland with 2 of the accusers of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, Wade Robson and James Safechuck. The disgusting thing about this interview is that Oprah is holding the interview with 2 of Michael Jackson's accusers 10 years after he has passed and he is not here to defend himself. These 2 young men have been on record as liar and abusers of Michael Jackson's kindness and generosity by at least 1 of their parents taking down payments and loans from Michael.   The fact that Oprah was viewed through Michael's eyes as a friend, he let her in his home, and did interviews with her. Then, she turns around and does this to Michael's family, fans, and his estate.  There are fans and legal professionals that have researched the accusers and have receipts to debunk everything that was spoken in the interview with Oprah included Brian Oxman, who was Michael Jackson's lawyer and took down the 2 accusers depositions.

Billy Porter's Talks Masculinity While Wearing A Dress

Billy Porter's Talks Masculinity While Wearing A Dress

Billy Porter just got the world's attention at the 91st Annual Oscar's Awards with his red carpet appearance in a Pseudo-Tuxedo Gown.  Many in the fashion word would see him as courageous and ground-breaking with his fashion move.  For the many males who aren't into fashion and who are wired to be "manly men" this red carpet appearance is disrespectful especially towards black manly men.  Fashion and Hollywood are leading the charge in how black men and boys are seen and portrayed on screen.  The mainstream media is out really pushing the "it's o.k. to be a gay black male agenda".  When Porter was asked about why he wore the Pseudo-Tux Gown, he responded by saying, "he wanted to be a political piece of art."  In an interview with Vogue,  he said and is quoted saying," A man can wear a dress and still be masculine; he's just a man in a dress."  He also saying this as a gay man.  This is a really big issue in the black community because of the lack of strong black male influence and positive male energy "masculinity".  Many people male and female are not looking at this in the correct context of the lasting effects that this is already having on the black community.  The female population is split and this leads to half of the female population saying that he is "slaying" the fashion world, while the other half of women are asking,"What the hell is he doing with that gown on?"  Women are asking the same questions for the last 35 to 40 years, but with a twist,"How do I raise a successful black male in this country when the country is pushing a gay black male agenda?"  Billy Porter has no idea what he has started with his "man in a dress" statement in the black community. This is episode 7 of the 10SevenLive Show.

This Is America: Native American Blacklash(Covington H.S. vs Native America)

A little over a week ago a group of students from Covington High School outside of Memphis, TN went to Washington D.C. These students showed up at the tail end of a rally by Native Americans and a viral video that has put America in a racial uproar once again concerning race.  A bunch of kids was reportedly mocking "Mr. Nathan" a Native American drummer by doing the tomahawk chop and he responded back to them by walking up to them and beating his drum. It is unclear who recorded the video, but the incident seems somewhat choreographed and staged just for a moment like this.  "Mr. Nathan" has been plastered all over the media as the villain in the whole incident as these not so squeaky clean kids are being portrayed as innocent bystanders at the wrong place. This is America...

No Justice Repeated = No Peace

No Justice Repeated = No Peace

Since the Oscar Grant killing in San Francisco happened there has been an uptick in killings of unarmed black men and men of color, though it is nothing new in this country. Even with the new regime in the White House things have gotten far worse and divisive between minorities and people of color. When people in law enforcement kill unarmed people they are both sworn to protect and serve and get no punishment for their crime it does and will cause a sense of frustration within minority groups of color.

Attack the Black (The Assault on Blacks in America in 2018)

Attack the Black (The Assault on Blacks in America in 2018)

The assault on Blacks and people of color in America is as American as apple pie. Over the last 6 to 8 years we are starting to see things that were happening back between the early 1900s to the 1960s. It is 2018 and there have been at least 3 lynchings in the last 3 years. Danye Jones was hung on a tree in his backyard in St. Louis. His mother Melissa McKinnes, an activist found her son hanging on the morning of October 17th. There are no suspects and there are also no witnesses. There has not been a formal investigation and the FBI will not be involved either. I find it a coincidence that his mother is an activist and most of the people involved in Ferguson have either been "mysteriously killed with no witnesses or mysteriously committed suicide with no suspects. Some people in law enforcement call "tying up loose ends."

Just a few days ago, Gregory Bush went into a Kroger's grocery store and gunned down 2 black customers Maurice Stellard and Vickie Lee Jones in Louisville, KY. When he was asked why he said, "White don't kill white.

The Tammie Townsend of Jackson, MS is seeking justice for her son Willie Jones, Jr, who was found hanging in a tree at his child's mother's house in Scott County, MS. The sheriff ruled the death a suicide and the family of Willie Jones is not accepting that ruliing.

Just last week, a woman in a St. Louis Luxury Apartment building called the police on a young black business owner in her building because she didn't believe he lived there. She followed him from the front door of the building to his apartment on the 3rd floor. The people who are doing these heinous acts get the narrative from either a movie, the media, or this supremacy is taught at home. People who just happen to be minorities are literally fighting for the lives outside of just trying to make a living.
