13th Ave Show feat: Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Donna Gonzalez, opens Artisan Face & Body in Dunedin!

Tune in on Sunday, November 13th at 7am EST, for a new episode of The 13th Ave Show featuring Donna Gonzalez, B.S.N., M.S., A.P.R.N.

Donna is the Owner and Founder of Artisan Face & Body, which is located in Dunedin, FL.

Find out more about Donna on her website:
https://www.artisanfacebody.com/home

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

︎ABOUT OUR GUEST:

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Anesthesiology, Donna Gonzalez is not only an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Nurse Anesthetist, but a skilled and experienced advanced aesthetic practitioner. Proudly, she is also a national trainer of aesthetics with the American Institute of Aesthetic Medicine (AIAM).

More than 20 years ago, Donna graduated nursing school with honors and began her career as a trauma and ICU specialist at Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and Doctor’s Hospital in Coral Gables. She worked closely with some of the country’s finest doctors, surgeons and nurses. These colleagues include some of the most prominent oral maxillofacial surgeons as well as nationally recognized plastic surgeons.

Always thirsting for more knowledge, Donna, broadened her scope of nursing practice to incorporate neuroscience and post anesthesia care. It wasn’t long before she found herself enrolled in one of the finest nurse anesthesia programs in the country and graduated as a nurse anesthetist. Subsequent training and practice in neuroscience and anesthesiology afforded her the ability to work with aesthetics for medical treatments, which later blossomed into cosmetic aesthetics.

The culmination of her educational background and clinical experience has given Donna the opportunity to implement theoretical and practical experience in creatively combining the art and science of aesthetic treatments to her repertoire. In many circles “DG” is known as “the cannula queen”, for using a highly skilled technique to minimize bruising, bleeding and overall downtime.

Donna’s focus and passion is completely on the field of aesthetic medicine. It is her belief that both men and women of all ages deserve to look their best, whether it be for cosmetic reasons or sometimes even medical. Donna understands aesthetic medicine at a cellular level to combine therapies with the latest skin rejuvenating techniques providing naturally beautiful results that are reproducible with each treatment! Take note that treatments are not exclusive to the face but to the body as well! DG’s results are achieved by utilizing any combination of wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, PDO threads, Stem Cell and Fibrin therapy (PRF/PRP), collagen stimulation therapy (CST), skin brightening and resurfacing with laser therapy and the use of medical grade cosmeceuticals…let us not forget skillful technique and expert knowledge!

13th Ave Show feat. CEO and Founder of West Coast Medical Resources, LLC, Randy Ware!

Tune in TOMORROW, 5/13/22 at 7:00am EST for a new episode of The 13th Avenue Media Show featuring CEO and Founder of West Coast Medical Resources, LLC, Randy Ware!

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

ABOUT OUR GUEST:

Randy Ware is CEO and Founder of WestCMR, LLC, the world’s leading healthcare industry surplus surgical supply company. After facing health challenges with his newborn son in 1991, Randy’s perspective as to what mattered most was forever changed. His family’s experience with the hospital that saved his son’s life became the silver lining that inspired his future vision for WestCMR.

In 1997, Randy founded WestCMR as the first company to create a niche marketplace to allow hospitals and surgery centers to manage inventory sustainably, by capitalizing upon surplus products that would normally have gone to landfills. From its headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, WestCMR employs a national and international sales team that buys and sells throughout the U.S. and over 65 countries, while maintaining its sustainable mission as a zero landfill company.

With all the success WestCMR has enjoyed as a company, it is the ups and downs in Randy’s life that inspired a passion for corporate and personal giving back that never wanes. Since 2013, Randy has served on the board of the Children’s Dream Fund, where he has raised half-a-million dollars to fulfill dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses. In November of 2019, he took three WestCMR team members Cambodia, to join 90 other volunteers from around the world to participate in a Global Village build with Habitat for Humanity.

Through Randy’s life-long commitment to pay his passion forward, he personally charges his family of companies with serving the community and partnering with charitable organizations that are making a difference in people’s lives. As a result, WestCMR proudly donates more than 1% of its annual revenue to charity.

They met monthly at different places to discuss topics like self- love, self-care, healthy relationships, etc. After doing that for two years, she decided to grow EmpowHERment to a nonprofit organization. Now, they have advocacy services, support groups, and empowerment shops. In October, Ambee opened a community center for women to have a safe place, where all of these services are housed at, but also a place to learn and grow. EmpowHERment is something she has so much pride in. For someone who has gone through what she has gone through, Ambee is using what shaped her, to help other women rise.

In today’s world of remarkable social and technological change, increasing health and economic uncertainties, cultural transformations and polarizing attitudes towards governance, the need for genuine and sustainable leadership at all levels of society, and within every community, has never been more clear. For those who recognize that leadership is not a merely a result of one’s title or station in life but rather something more fundamental, we have an extraordinary opportunity for you...

AMPLIFY Clearwater has partnered with coCelerate - a premier in person and virtual training and coaching company specializing in the design and delivery of sophisticated leadership development programs - for the inaugural Leadership Amplified Program beginning in March, 2021. coCelerate utilizes evidenced-based models within the social sciences along with proprietary diagnostics, frameworks and methods of delivery that accelerate the personal and professional growth of civic and business leaders allowing them to measurably enhance their individual success and increase the value they bring to their organizations, and within their communities.

coCelerate facilitators have decades of experience drawing upon a range of proven training and coaching techniques that get underneath the surface of performance to redefine genuine leadership as the ultimate outcome of unique mindsets, attitudes and a range of conscientious behaviors that are grounded in the being-ness of partnership with others. Our program’s participants discover that their true capacity for Leadership is not a function of their abilities (strengths and achievements) but rather an expression of their Responsibility... their commitment to transcend comfort and convenience and expand their capacity to truly be in service to others for the common good. We also recognize that actual leadership is not something that can simply be learned by taking courses or reading a stack of books. It requires a disciplined practice with creative methods for continual reinforcement and accountability, which are essential aspects of our program’s curriculum.

We invite you to learn more about how you can take advantage of this unique opportunity for personal discovery, challenge and achievement within a supportive and empowering team environment.

We are very excited to take you on a journey to learn more about all of the incredible businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders. In this episode, we are featuring Yaro Havelka, Owner of TOP Martial Arts Clearwater!

Yaro is the owner of TOP Martial Arts. He’s been married to his wife Vickie Havelka for the last 15 wonderful years.

The self-defense style of martial arts they are teaching in their school is Korean Hapkido. Their weapon defense style of martial arts is Filipino Warrior Arts and only available for adults.

He was born in Czech Republic (actually former communist country Czechoslovakia). He started training Martial Arts at 14 years old because of his friend wanted to try martial arts classes. They both joined the beginner course, which was very hard and his friend quit after 2 months.

From the start of his training he’s really enjoyed learning martial arts. Around 1997, he moved to the USA, and came to Clearwater. "I remember vividly, I arrived in Clearwater at night and the next day went looking for a martial arts school. I found one in walking distance and that same day I joined. Funny thing is, it is the exact same studio I own now.”

Yaro purchased the studio about 15 year ago. At that time the studio didn’t have a lot of students; just enough to pay rent. Through the years they have extended their classes to kids and adults as well as an after-school program. Due to their expansion they outgrew their space and moved to a new location.

Yaro taught himself the English language from books and talking to others. In school he learned the Russian language for about 13 years and the technical German language. When he signed up for martial arts classes in Clearwater, he showed his instructor the word ‘training’ in the dictionary. To this day his instructor (Rick DeAquila) has fun telling this story.

His hobbies include training and continuing to learn martial arts and understand a lot of different styles of the art. He loves to occupy his mind by always learning something new. He has black belts from 7 different martial arts styles, as well as studying other styles. He also enjoys shooting guns with his favorite being sporting clay.

AMPLIFY CLW/13th brings you Sue LaGree, Business Developer at Sea Dog Cantina!

AMPLIFY CLW/13th brings you Sue LaGree, Business Developer at Sea Dog Cantina!

Welcome to the 22nd episode of Amplify Clearwater Show, powered by 13th Ave Media! We are very excited to take you on a journey to learn more about all of the incredible businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders. In this episode, we are featuring Business Developer, Sue LaGree at Sea Dog Cantina!

Sue LaGree has been working in promotions and business development for over 25 years, first as an attorney in Boston, then as a small/start-up business consultant.

She first met Fred Forsley, owner of Shipyard and Sea Dog brands, several years ago, while living in New England.  Sue moved to Safety Harbor 2 1/2 years ago, and last February, reconnected with Fred at her brother’s new restaurant- The Tiki Tavern, on Main St. in Safety Harbor.

Sue was impressed with Fred’s Florida locations including Sea Dog in Treasure Island, Sea Dog Cantina in Gulfport, and Sea Dog Tap Room in Clearwater and with his locally made all-natural vodka brand “Ice Pik Vodka”, distilled right here in Florida.

Through her connections in the professional athlete world (law school roommate is the agent for legendary football player Doug Flutie) she was able to get Ice Pik vodka and Sea Dog beer involved as a sponsor at a few prestigious Super Bowl events in Miami last year.  From there, Fred asked her to join his team and promote his brands as he expands in the Florida market and beyond.

Sue is particularly excited about their location at US 19 in Clearwater.  “Our Tap Room in the back of the building remains open while we renovate the entire location –(formerly Cody’s Roadhouse Restaurant) into a Sea Dog Cantina which will feature hand-crafted margaritas, Mexican-inspired food and over 50 different types of tequilas, including some exclusive brands which can be sampled as flights at the Cantina in our VIP tequila room.  The menu was created by our incredible, top-rated Chef, Greg Picard. Recently, St. Pete Foodies gave him a perfect 10 score for what they described as “Mexican food heaven”.  “

Sue and her team can’t wait to introduce this food into our local community.  Sea Dog Cantina is expected to open in late December and they look forward to inviting all Chamber members to a VIP ribbon cutting event!
