Why Captioning Is Important: ADA compliance Universal design Different learning styles 

Types of Captioning: Open vs closed captioning vs live captioning; Machine generated vs human generated vs hybrid  

Things to consider when researching and choosing a caption service provider: Your budget. If you go cheap you may have to do more editing. Uncommon terminology or jargon used in your videos. Terminology and jargon may require more editing regardless of the method of captioning chosen.  Output file format options. Depending on where you will be hosting the video, you may need to consider the caption formats the host will accept and choose a caption provider who can export in those formats.  Turnaround time. How soon after the video is finished will you need the captions so you can publish an accessible video?
