31:17 Presents Audio Devotionals

2020 has been a year for the books. As the country reopens and Americans demand to see justice, Jesus reminds us to make a decision. Are we going to be.a house of prayer or a den of thieves. I entered this audio devotional with my heart seeking justice. I left with call to action that brought me nearer to the Cross. Let this week’s study of Matthew 21:12, Isaiah 56, and Jeremiah 7 bring you to clarity on God’s will for justice in the earth. My name is Markeyla. I am the Founder of 31:17, the first collaborative space for Black women of faith. I am a wife, a mom of two and a recovering Chipotle addict. As an avid podcast lover, and the writer of a number of devotionals and a workbook, it only makes sense that I would be the voice behind 31:17’s Audio Devotion.

This weekly gathering at the feet of the Savior is meant to serve as a way to have a broader Bible study based on the weekly topic of the Prayer Circles offered at 31:17. I’ll admit it’s also just another way for me to be connected to my tribe. The community that we are creating is so inspiring and engaged that I can’t wait to see how these weekly conversations evolve. I hope that you will hear from Heaven through me. I hope that you will feel less isolated. And I hope that you will feel empowered to take up space from the conversation we have here.
