SOUND THE TRUMPETS!! This week kicks off our FIRST "Sports Febstival!" While we have sports guests throughout the year, we have dedicated the month of February to have guests that are a tribute to how the 500 Section started... as a sports show!
What a way to start such an event, with our guest this week! Justin Kershaw, former defensive stand-out, and captain of the 2008 Michigan State Spartan football team, came into the Lounge, and we do believe became instant friends with the guys! Our good buddy, Dalton Shetler, introduced the guys to Justin, and he knew Justin would fit in! Justin, a father of four(!), was able to get the kids to be good and allow him to hang out, and the guys were so happy!
Richey was able to talk defensive technique as a lineman, and he and Justin geeked out a little talking football shop! As an interior d-lineman, Justin shared that a lot of the time, they didn't get the glory, but that wasn't what it was all about in the grand scheme of things!
Later, the Little Matt brings up to Justin the topic of being an inventor! Justin shares some things that he's been able to come up with, in the past and currently, and let us tell you, the most recent thing he's working on... yeah, it's pretty "strong!"
They talk about being competitive, and that moves to board games! What are your rules on Uno... SORRY!... and does losing at Connect Four reflect on your character?! YEP, all covered! What are Justin's future plans? THESE ARE ALL THINGS WE TALK ABOUT!
Part 1 of our "Sports Febstival," is FANTASTIC! Justin was great to hang out with, and the guys WILL have him back! SO, sit back, relax, and #grabalisten of the start of the celebration of sports... IN THE LOUNGE!
This week wraps up January with a FLURRY! Rich Redmond, the 21-year veteran drummer for country music star Jason Aldean, joins the guys in the Lounge, and oh goodness was it a great time! Rich, who has played with the likes of (other than Jason Aldean) Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Thompson Square, LUDACRIS, and so many more, jumped into the conversation with feet first! He talked about how he got to Nashville, meeting Jason Aldean, putting in the hours to be successful, touring with a big name star, working WHILE ON THE ROAD, teaching drums online, getting in micro enjoyments, OH... and writing a book! Did we mention he does voice-over work, and motivational speaking? YEAH... this was high-octane and just a fantastic trip through the mind of a super successful person! What do A-listers have that B & C listers don't? Well, you need to listen! Rich was fantastic, and he had to run early, so we WILL have him back! Looking forward to his return!
We have an extended opener because Richey got spontaneous on us, and took us down the board game rabbit hole, and then also asked us about a Tom Hanks movie he loves! Is this the start of a new segment we have once-in-a-while called "Spontaneously Richey?! MAYBE! ALSO, our closer is longer too because Little Matt had a "Let's Chat!" that, in Little Matt's fashion, was fantastic!
While Rich was fantastic, we also had the guys talking about ALL SORTS of different things, and it's a great way to close out January! SO, sit back, relax, and #grabalisten!
To find Rich Redmond go to https://richredmond.com/ AND go to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube and search Rich Redmond! You will not be sorry you did!
This week, psychotherapist & author of "You NEED Therapy.: EMDR: Real People, With Real Problems, Getting Real Help," Robert Grigore, & the #7 pick of the 1999 NHL Draft (Washington Capitals), Kris Beech, join the guys in the #Lounge!
The guys talk about how they got introduced to one another and started working together. Kris talks about how he was diagnosed as being bipolar, about 10 years ago, and how he could go from highest of highs to lowest of lows in a snap of a finger, and that he was a patient of Robert's to help with coping.
Robert talked about how he starts working with someone, like Kris, and how treating them can be for an extended period of time OR in a very short-term timeframe.
Would Kris' career turned out to be more successful if he'd been diagnosed earlier? His answer might be a little of surprise! Richey asks Kris who his all-time favorite teammate was, in his hockey career, and there were some BIG NAMES! Sydney Crosby & Mario Lemieux are just a couple who Kris talks about playing with, and he enlightens the guys on the traits of superstars that makes them standout!
Robert talks about how he works with people using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitation & Reprocessing), and it helps the trauma not be as debilitating as it originally was to the patient! They guys ALL said they were confused, and Robert confirmed that it is, indeed, hard to wrap your mind around!
Kris needed to leave a little early, but Robert stayed and told the guys about the platform that Kris is putting together, that includes Robert as a therapist, that will help up & coming athletes cope with some of the issues that might arise and potentially derail them on their way to success. WOW, what a show! The guys want them both back to talk about THAT platform and so much more! They had a great time, and enjoyed talking to the Robert and Kris! We are SURE you will enjoy hearing what everyone talked about! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
To check out what Robert is up to at https://www.thecelebritysaviour.com/!
Find him, as the Celebrity Saviour, on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
W...W...What a fantastic show we had this w...w...week! Voice of Porky Pig (and so many other great voices), Bob Bergen joined the guys in the Lounge! Kicking off the show, Bob talks about the ability to be "unknown" in public even though he is a famous voice, and how that almost changed with a job he took! The guys ask about what it takes to develop a character that is already established compared to one he is asked to "make-up," and Bob has an interesting take! Is he the only person to be Pork Pig, after Mel Blanc passed? The answer might not surprise you, but the nugget he adds to that answer might! Sam asked him about Gremlins and his part in that movie, and again, that answer might surprise you! ALSO, from that question comes a conversation about a very popular entertainment "platform" that normally is looked at as the Gold Standard of reference! Does Bob remember doing all of the gigs he's done in his career? As you can imagine, having done so much, sometimes he needs reminding! How about the directors or producers he's worked with in his career... ever have issues with any of them? He talks about a job that wasn't going in the direction he thought was appropriate, and how that was handled! What a fabulous hangout the guys had with Bob! They want to have him back, and Bob seemed open to that possibility! SO, sit back, relax & g...g...g... #grabalisten, folks!

This week is a GREAT way to kick-off 2021! Author of "The Career Toolkit," Mark Herschberg joins the Lounge! Mark talks about how his book (released on January 5th) gives the soft and leadership skills to prepare people for any job they are seeking! The guys talk about how being noticed give applicants an edge in the interview process! The Career Toolkit is the work of 20+ years of preparation, partly of Mark's teaching a class at colleges, including MIT!
Mark was a student at MIT, as well, and while there he became a top-ranked ballroom dancer! How in the world did this happen?! He tells the guys about how competitions were run! Mark also talks about the sports of MIT, and Matt asks about the school's mascot! The guys move on and talk about another of the things Mark has done in his life... tracking terrorists on the Dark Web! Does the Dark Web have a web address?!
Sam talks about collecting pint glasses, and asks Mark about a couple of times HE collects... shot glasses & cuff links! What led him to start collecting them? He also talks about a certain type of custom cuff links that make Matt & Sam want to get, immediately!
What a fantastic time! Mark was a wonderful way to start up the new year, and the guys were so happy to have him hangout! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!

2020 goes out with a BANG this week! Double cancer survivor, and author, Danielle Harris-Branch hangs out with the guys, and they had a blast! Danielle has lived a life that most "common" people would easily fold under! Her husband struggled with multiple different ailments, and Danielle happily took care of him! She then was diagnosed with two different types of cancer, and SURVIVED! They guys talk about how her faith got her through the extremely tough times, including the sudden passing of her husband. Danielle was so delightful and full of laughter! It was infectious! She shared that she is accident-prone, and how she broke MANY different bones, and Sam shares a story about him being accident-prone too!
There were some audio issues, with Sam's line, but nothing TOO horrible, and you won't lose the overall greatness of the hangout! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten to our send-off to 2020!
Follow Danielle on Facebook (Danielle Harris-Branch), Instagram (@danielehbranch), and Twitter (@iamglobalgirl)!
MERRY LOUNGE-MAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS! This week is just the guys talking about holiday traditions, past Christmas memories, and laughing about things that they did in the past! There are talks about what their plans are for the holiday time, and Little Matt makes an announcement that will change his life FOREVER! They mention a place that SOME would say is "boring," but they talk about the things they have done there, in past visits!
They talk about a college football tradition they intended to take part in, this year, but couldn't, AND THEN make tentative plans to do it next year!
They play a final SHENANIGANS, in 2020... DID RICHEY FINALLY GET TO CLAIM A SOLE CHAMPIONSHIP?! They also have a "Let's Chat!" that was "cute," and then morphed into talking about a pet they aren't really fond of, but if it's your bag... that's fine! There is SO MUCH talked about in this show that you're just going to have to #grabalisten of it for yourself... ya know as a gift from us in the Lounge to all of you! SO, sit back, relax, and enjoy this Lounge-mas episode! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

SURPRISE! This Special Edition is coming out on a non-normal day, and it's because if we waited, the material might not be fresh! The situation is very fluid, and the guys wanted to talk to someone who knew something about the new piece of legislation, in Congress, that would change the very fabric of NCAA athletics! Known as the NCAA Athlete Bill of Rights, this piece of legislation, on the very surface looks like it's out to only help the athlete, BUT the guys think there's more to it, so what did they do? THEY BROUGHT DALTON SHETLER ON TO EXPLAIN IT FURTHER. Dalton goes in DEEP to talk about what this legislation could really mean to NCAA athletics COMPLETELY, and not just to the sports named in the bill! Sam asks about transfers and Title IV, and Dalton nails his explanation down, and the guys felt very comfortable with what they heard. Richey asked about whether the NCAA needed a lot of the things, in the legislation, spelled out so vaguely that it confuses people, and, again, Dalton is PERFECTLY PROFESSIONAL!
The talk THEN led to the B1G Conference waiving its minimum game rule in order to play in the Championship Game, seemingly for Ohio St, and Sam explains his thoughts and why he feels the way he does! Dalton then takes it to the College Football Playoff, and the guys talk about the various ways that the NCAA seems to fall short in some areas, and they end the show finally, after 4 attempts! They seemed to always bring SOMETHING ELSE up they wanted to expand upon! The talk was expected to be 20 minutes, it turned out to be OVER AN HOUR! What an excellent chat with Dalton! The guys want to have him back on in the near future to talk about this again, after it's had time to work its way out even further! SO, sit back & #grabalisten of this Special Edition: NCAA Athlete Bill of Rights Chat with Dalton Shetler!
This week is nothing short of a slam dunk! Michigan State broadcaster Dalton Shetler joins the guys in the Lounge and talks about SO MANY things! Sam has issue with Dalton's preference in Thanksgiving meat, and they all break down their choices! Dalton talks about some changes happening with his non-gameday work, and it is SIRIUS (hint hint)!
The guys talk about what the college football playoff might look like, this year, and teams that might not make it because of the crazy times CFB is currently going through. Along the way, they bring up the issue the Broncos faced in a game against the Saints, WITH NO QUARTERBACK ON THE ROSTER!
The conversation moves to the Detroit Lions & their fans, and they transition to college basketball! How eerie is a game, that matters, with zero people there to watch the game? Dalton talks arenas that are crazy loud, and environments that surprised him as he has travelled around the country for games. He brings up a VERY unusual topic: Michigan St. coach Tom Izzo playing the accordion!
What an awesome time with Dalton! He is always a great conversation, and we are always happy with what he brings us! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
**Coach Tom Izzo audio courtesy of the Spartan Media Network**
This week's show is one we recorded back in September, but audio issues prevented us from releasing it when we were hoping to do so! We had time to figure out the issues, and now we're ready to hang out with Anthony Michal and Arthur Swidzinski, two of the gentlemen who were part of "Shred America!" This is a film that documented the travel of four men who decided to travel from Chicago to New York City.... VIA SKATEBOARD! It was a great time talking to the guys about their adventure!
Sam asks about them getting lost in Indiana, and the guys had a funny answer to that! They also talk about a hospital visit, fireflies, & almost being hit by cars on the road! The guys experienced a TON in the span of 36 days while traveling! What a great story, what a great hangout! The guys were so gracious and understanding about the technical difficulties trying to get this episode out! We are very proud to have had these two on, and are happy to give you this, DELAYED, but awesome hangout! So, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
You can find the Shred America Film on Amazon Prime, and if you would like to see some highlights from the adventure go to https://www.shredamericafilm.com/

They are getting ready to start shooting a movie as well! ALL THESE TOPICS! SO MANY MORE TOO!

This week's guest might have a "regular" name, but he is FAR FROM REGULAR! John Smith, author of "Embracing the Abyss" and host of the "Searching for Integrity" podcast, John hung out with the guys and talked about his past and what got him to the point where he is today! In the 1980's John was a CPA with a Savings & Loan bank. Right at the time, he thought they were doing VERY WELL, the S&L Scandal hit, and that is where his story takes a turn! The FBI threatened him with prison time, and John made a decision that would forever affect his life! THEN, when the dust settled, he applied and was granted a Presidential pardon! SO interesting to hear about the process!
Richey asks a question that takes us down an unexpected route, from John! A spiritual awakening including metaphysics, mediums, and meditation is where the guys head! It was CERTAINLY interesting to hear John talk about this, and the process of believing what he does! INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST! It's not the prototypical hangout, but at the very least, you will be entertained by the conversation! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
To find John's book, "Embracing the Abyss," click here!
You can also go to any of the three websites John hosts: https://embracingtheabyss.com/; https://searchingforintegrity.com/; https://ethicsspeaker.com/ to find out more!
There is NO HAZARD talking to these Holey Moley Alumni this week! Karl Barth was kind enough to bring on 3 of his Holey Moley friends into the Lounge this week so they could all talk about their experiences on the ABC hit show! It was an extension of the Live in the Lounge! that the guys had on November 8th (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh7O6w9etMM)! Tanner Beard couldn't join the episode, but the rest of the guys most certainly did not disappoint in any way!
The conversation went from what drew them to apply (on Live in the Lounge!) to what they were expecting from the show before they were on! For the guys who were on Season 1, when did they know they were going to be on ABC? Did they get to play ALL the course, when they were there? How about the quality of the course? What makes Holey Moley so special? What's it take to apply? Any way to make it on NOT KNOWING HOW TO SWIM?! All these things AND MORE are all in this episode! SO, if you haven't already seen it, go watch the Live in the Lounge! with the guys, plus Tanner Beard, and then hit up this episode, and sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
This week's show will draw EVERYONE'S attention! Author Dave D'Orazi hangs out in the Lounge and talks to the guys about the book he wrote about his dad! "The In-Between Artist: The Story of Tony D'Orazi" is a book about Dave's dad and the life he lived, and the trials and tribulations while being WILDLY successful!
Dave talks about how Tony got his start becoming a cartoonist for Disney and some things he did there, INCLUDING creating one of their ICONIC characters! Dave is very open about how Tony suffered FIVE mental breakdowns during his career, and how he was able to bounce back so many times! Richey asked Dave how Tony came up with the inspiration for the iconic Disney character, and Sam had to ask about Dave being a Dodger fan!
The guys also talk to Dave about his time on The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal! WHAT A HANGOUT! Dave was fantastic, and he even shared what his next book is going to be about! His sister was a co-star in the pilot of Happy Days, but also suffered from similar issues that their dad suffered from, and Dave wants to share his sister's story too!
Dave will be back! The guys were SO happy to have gotten the chance to get to know Dave, and hope he becomes a Loyal Lounger! SO, sit back, relax, and enjoy the time the guys spent with Dave D'Orazi! #grabalisten!
To find Dave's book, click here! You can also find out more about what Dave is up to at www.davidfdorazi.com!
This week is HUGE! This is the first Noelle they guys have had in the Lounge! Get it? First Noelle... it's a play on words! ANYWHO! Author of the book "Flight Girls: A Novel Inspired by Real Female Pilots During World War II," Noelle Salazar lands in the Lounge with the guys! What an amazing hangout! The guys learned about so many great things they didn't know! They didn't know a whole lot about the Women Airforce Service Pilots or WASPS for short, and Noelle told great stories about her interactions with some of these great women!
She also talks about how difficult it is to write historical fiction! How the details must be right or people will contact her to tell her what she did wrong! SOME PEOPLE! Richey gives her a book idea, but everyone else thinks MAYBE Richey should write it! HAHA!
Noelle was hanging out with us something was happening that she loves! The Seahawks were playing! Through flexing the schedule, in the NFL, and us having to move our time together around, she was talking to us, while the Seahawks were playing a game! Why is she a Seahawks fan? What job did she hold that allowed her to show her love for them even more? WHAT WIDE RECEIVER HAD AN OIL PAINTING IN HER LIVING ROOM, when she was growing up?! You have to listen!
Noelle fits right in with the guys! She joked around and even gave her two cents on whether she can watch TV with the closed captions on! It was GREAT and the guys want to have Noelle back on when her new book comes out! SO, sit back, relax and #grabalisten!
If you want to order Noelle's book on Amazon, just click HERE!
You can also find out more about Noelle by going to her website: https://www.noellesalazar.com/
This week is not scary, but rather interestingly unusual! The guys took the week off, but still, put together a Halloween Special that is guaranteed remind you of the GREAT guests they've had that brought VERY unusual stories! First was Chris Noel! He is the Lounge's Sasquatch expert! We revisit some of the signs of sasquatch and how they have managed to remain virtually undetected for YEARS!
Then we move to Jeffrey H. Ryan! He is the author of the book, "Hermit: the Mysterious Life of Jim Whyte." He tells of the story of Jim and how he ran opium from the Maine/Canada border to Chinatown in NYC! He also shares the story of an unusual character he met while he was hiking the Appalachian Trail!
Finally, we move to Tom Swyers! Tom was a great guest who is an author, and his newest book is called, "Caged to Kill." It's a fictional story about a lawyer who tries to help a man who has spent over 30+ years in solitary confinement! While it is fictional, there are REAL details that helped Tom write the book!
This Halloween special is AWESOME! As mentioned... NOT SCARY, but SO stinkin' interesting! SO, sit back, relax, and #grabalisten!

We step back in time and venture back to the Bronx, NY, circa 1960-64, when Freedomland USA historian & author Mike Virgintino comes back to the Lounge! They guys had some follow-up questions from the first time Mike hung out, and he did NOT disappoint! He REALLY knows his stuff, and it is always a GREAT conversation! Mike also talks about the 60th-anniversary celebration that he ran, virtually, this past summer, and how he tries to keep Freedomland USA on everyone's minds! He recently was gifted a collection from someone who had collected items from Freedomland USA every season it was open, and every year since, and he talked about the wealth of items he has discovered almost daily going through! He's also going to send a gift to the guys, and they are all VERY excited!
Freedomland USA isn't the only thing Mike dabbles in, either! He is working to restore and preserve the Odell House, which is the house, in New York state, where General George Washington and French general Rochambeau met to talk about the colonists' plan of attack, during the Revolutionary War, which ultimately led to the surrender of the British at Yorktown! Mike also talks about going to Normandy and how moved he was going there, and how he thinks it is a very important place for people to visit!
Lastly, Mike is working with www.hearabouthere.com, which is a site that you can visit while you are at certain places of historical significance and hear MORE about what took place! Mike continues to amaze the Lounge with great conversation each time he visits! Be sure to get his book, Freedomland USA: The Definitive History here! So, Loungers, sit back, relax & listen to the RETURN of Mike Virgintino! #grabablisten
THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Seriously, this week's guest does not want to associate with any sort of drill! Chris Kammer D.D.S. fills the Lounge this week with the sweet sound to SO MANY people! He is trying to make a different way of handling cavities by NOT using a drill! He and the guys talk about that, BUT they start with what dental school was like, and what did he do BEFORE full-time dentistry! Who does he live with now? Well, the answer might surprise you, but he talks about how it came about! Little Matt HAD to ask about the Halloween Candy Buy-Back that Chris began at his practice! What an amazing time with Chris! He promoted boxing matches, so Chris was trying his hand at maybe promoting the "Battle of the Podcast" between Richey & Little Matt! THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING BREWING THERE!
The energy is high, and the guys LOVED hanging out with the Founding Father of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health! He is a contributing scientific advisor for Reader's Digest magazine, and the developer of the "Gums of Steel" protocol at www.gumsofsteel.com! SO, sit back, relax, TAKE A DEEP BREATH & HANG ON... AND #grabalisten!
Want to find out more about Chris and all that he's doing go to https://www.thedrillisgone.com/!
This week is VERY SPECIAL! Not that ALL of our shows aren't special, BUUUUUT... this is the one-year anniversary! YES WE KNOW THIS IS EPISODE 53, BUT WE HAD A COUPLE EXTRAS GET COUNTED AS FULL EPISODES, AND WE ARE TOO LAZY TO GO BACK THROUGH AND RENUMBER THEM... ANYWHO...
ALSO, Richey couldn't make it this week, so Sam's wife, Brie, guest-hosted, and it was HER birthday too! Add our guest, David Kravetz, to the mix and this show is AMAZING! Author of the Less Beaten Paths of America Books, David talks about SO MANY things that aren't very well known because they are not on the highway! You have to go find them! That's what David does for you! He tells you about these hidden gems, and give you some ideas to add to your trip that you hadn't originally intended!
They start talking about Hell, and end with Screaming Heads! YEAH... Sam asks what's it like in Hell, and then asks about something that's just Okay! David has been to SO MANY places! Some Boring, and some SUPER! This is an extremely fun hangout, and it is SO WORTH listening! Don't be a Tightwad with your time, and sit back, relax and #grabalisten of our hangout with David Kravetz!

This week's show does not stop short of entertaining! Jacob Thornton, the host of the Mentally Healthy podcast, joins the guys in the Lounge and is a treat! The guys get to know him during the show, and Jacob has a good time laughing, joking around, and just sharing with them what his interests are! Who is his biggest inspiration? The answer MIGHT surprise you, but it might not either! What does he do as a "hobby?" Sam isn't too sure he'd enjoy Jacob's hobby... but they talk it out! They talk about the Alamo, because Jacob is from San Antonio, and that leads to talking about the importance of learning history AND maybe the not so importance of Calculus! Near the end of the show, Jacob shares something, that he doesn't hide, but the guys hadn't talked about too much, that he has autism. He does not let that define who he is as a person, and that's why they guys wanted to get to know him before diving into that realm. Jacob was great! He wants to come back, and the guys would love him to come back! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
The Mentally Healthy Podcast with host Jacob Thornton: https://anchor.fm/jake652
There's no BIG EVENT hangover this week! Laura Corcoran, founder of the Miryante Orphanage in Uganda joined the guys in the Lounge this week! The topics were ALL OVER THE WORLD with Laura! First, going to Japan and doing an internship, through the same program as Sam's wife, and how it was adjusting to living there! She then lived in South Korea, and visited a place not many people can say they've been, AND RETURNED! She joined the Peace Corp and then decided to start a life of international work, on the African continent! She helped found an orphanage in Uganda, and adjusted to life in Africa! After a couple of years, she moved on and started working with a company that is charged with establishing renewable energy sources to several African nations that normally have difficulty getting electricity! There are MANY other things the guys talked about, and they REALLY enjoyed having Laura on! So sit back, relax & #grabablisten!

50th EPISODE! That's what this SUPERSIZE show is, and we went OUT OF THIS WORLD for the show! Sam made the trip to Uranus (Missouri) and had Mayor Louie Keen guest host, on location, while Richey & Little Matt were back home! The guys asked Louie more pressing questions, this time to see how Uranus might be growing in the future! The Mayor talks about how he might expand the business to where there is more than one Uranus! (?) The guys had the Mayor play SHENANIGANS and Richey TRIES to win his first, OUTRIGHT, title! DID HE DO IT?! You'll have to listen! Little Matt has a Let's Chat! that COULD leave a bad taste in your mouth! If you can stand still (without the Earth taking you with it) for ONE second, where would you end up being? Louie talks about his Sideshow Museum manager, Kat, being a sword swallower, and that brought a very unexpected surprise... Louie had Kat come over for a short interview dealing with sword swallowing, and she was great! THEN, after she talked for a few minutes, she came back for a surprise SWORD SWALLOWING for the Lounge! What a great time in Uranus! We THINK there might be MORE episodes that get recorded there, in the future! There is SO MUCH MORE, so you need to sit back, relax & #grabalisten
Find out what's going on in Uranus at https://www.uranusgeneralstore.com/!
This week's show is NOT what was advertised because of audio issues! Shred America Film stars Arthur Swidzinski and Anthony Michal were SUPPOSED to be the guests, but we couldn't quite get the audio to save the way we needed! WE WILL HAVE THAT HANGOUT, but it might a couple of weeks down the road!
SO, in lieu of Shred America, we decided to give you the audio of our LIVE IN THE LOUNGE! visit with the author of "Tales from the Day: Live shaping events that truth be told all happened under the heading of 'oops,'" Wayne McFarland! He was gracious enough to come back and visit LIVE while we were in Uranus (Missouri) to record our 50th episode! SO, the Mayor joins us during the live segment!
We also include some Dad Jokes and a couple of "blooper" segments that will be sure to help you get your 500 Section Lounge fix!

Many more great things coming! Keep an eye out for what we do next, and always be there to #grabalisten!
What did you accomplish before you turned 18? This isn't to make you feel bad about your life, but this week's guest, Elliot Connor, has started an international not-for-profit conservation organization (105 countries), taken AMAZING photographs, done a TedX Talk, and filmed for a documentary... and he turns 18 in October!
Elliot was a great sport and taking Sam and Little Matt's jokes in stride, and just told the story of how he got to the point where he is today! He talks about the velocity of an unladen swallow (!), which references Sam's most favorite Monty Python movie! Sam and Matt tell their story of their interaction with a bat, and Elliot explained their plan of attack was SPOT-ON, but the materials used were off!
Elliot talks about Nature Nexus, which is a 24-hour live documentary channel, that he is hoping to help get started and going! Sam compares it to something that Elliot hadn't heard before! What's the most unusual "capture" of an animal he was trying to help bring back to health? WELL, you have to listen! The guys enjoyed hanging out with Elliot so much, and were happy they cut off their time when they did because Elliot had to leave for somewhere that they hadn't thought about! Check it out to see where he needed to go so quickly! Sit back, relax & #grabalisten!

This week is a throwback to what the 500 Section Lounge was BEFORE we started having weekly guests! The guys sit in the Lounge and talk about lots of different topics! Sam brings up that he's been to the movie theater multiple times and wants to see what movies (from the past) the other guys would like to see in the theaters, again! There is a Six-pack that needs a crackin' and the guys know exactly what is needed! Sam and Matt have been doing "construction" projects, and there are gripes they have with a few things! Little Matt, like any other time, has come up with two, count em TWO, awesome Let's Chat! Never disappointing, and ONE of those was submitted by a listener! We jump into some sports talk, and talk about the NBA restart, listening to MLB on the radio, & the STUPID blackout rules! Can SOMEONE explain them to us?! ANYWHO, it's a great time... it's always nice to reminisce about how things used to be, but not to get too comfortable in living in the past because the future has SO MANY geat things in store! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
This week's show really POPS! Mechanical engineer, toy collector, and podcast host, Mike Jobe drops in and hangs out to talk Funko toys! A collector of only about 5 years, Mike has accumulated quite a large collection! Just how big are we talkin', well if you listen, you will find out! The guys are amazed at the number of different figures the Funko brand actually has produced and are available! Mike talks about why there are so many different TV shows, movies, and other topics made by Funko! As a co-host of the Talk'n Pops podcast, does he know if Funko has heard the show? Who's his favorite DuckTales character? What's the next BIG figure that he HAS TO HAVE for his collection? Does he know where Waldo is? All these are answered during our time with Mike! Does he plan on expanding his collection to other types of things or is Funko all the way? Mike has an answer for every question the guys throw out, and even though his internet got a little hairy, a couple of times, the guys LOVED chatting and hanging out with Mike, in the Lounge! What a great time! So, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
To find Mike and the Talk'n Pops podcast, go to www.talknpops.com! You can also find them on social media, just search "Talk'n Pops!
This week's guest is someone the guys have listened to and followed for large portions of their lives, and he was there to talk to them! Comedian Greg Warren dropped in the Lounge and hung out with the fellas! Greg, a long-time veteran guest of the Bob & Tom Show, has toured on the Bob & Tom Comedy All-Star Tour, along with headlining MANY fantastic venues across the country! He now has an Amazon Prime Comedy Special called, "Where the Field Corn Grows!" It is hilarious and you will love it! The guys started talking about the very OBVIOUS differences between field corn and sweet corn!
The guys were using video during their hangout and Greg, a St. Louis Cardinals fan, noticed the Chicago Cubs pennant in the background of Sam's camera, and Greg gave it to him a little bit! We believe the words "dumpster" and "fire" might have come into play! Greg tells the story behind where his iconic bit, "Fluteman," came from, and how did Hughie Baker react to finding out about the bit?
Greg lists some of his favorite clubs to work, then talks about wrestling a farmer, working in front of a drunk crowd, and changing his knuter valve, along with the advice he would give starting comics, following Jerry Seinfeld, and how the cover art came about for "Where the Field Corn Grows!" Great time, great hangout, great guy, and great show! Sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
You can search Amazon Prime for "Where the Field Corn Grows" OR you can go to www.gregwarrencomedy.com, to find out more about where Greg is going to be, and other great stuff!
The guys "Have a Coke and a Smile!" this week with their guest, Larry Jorgensen! Larry is the author of, "The Coca-Cola Trail: People & Places in the History of Coca-Cola." What an amazing journey down memory lane, Larry took us! The guys asked about the origins of the iconic bottle, if the taste varied in the early days, and about the rumors of Coke contains drugs in the first recipe! Larry knocked them all out of the park with great stories and knowledge of each! Larry talked about the great times he had at the Indy 500, in the past, and links the Brickyard with Coca-Cola! He tells the guys about how a Coke bottle has recently sold at an auction. For how much, you ask? It's an AMAZING AMOUNT OF MONEY, that how much! Larry sends the guys away with the story of how Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola are connected, and let's just say it makes sense why Delta's corporate offices are in Atlanta, GA! Great hang out with Larry! Sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
If you would like to find out more, go to https://www.thecocacolatrail.com/! You find his book, and even purchase it if you would like!
Sam and Little Matt had a motivational hangout this week with Dan Williams! Dan went from heart attack to masters track athlete after having major surgery, on his heart, and the trip was NOT an easy one! Dan talked about what happened and the stressful trip to get to where he is today! He talks about many of his 21 Fitness Principles to getting to a healthy and more enjoyable lifestyle! Mesmerized by Dan's story, the guys ask about ways to keep from going down the same path Dan went down, and also Sam shares one of those moments that he needed to "decide" to make a change, and what that's meant to him, his family, and those around him! Dan was so inspiring and fun to chat with, the guys want him to return to talk about the great things he is experiencing! You can find Dan at www.newheart4life.com, and you will get a link to all the links to where Dan spreads his word! SO, sit back, relax, and enjoy the guys' hangout with Dan Williams! #grabalisten!
This week is a family affair for one of the guys! Poet & author, Scott Sprunger hung out in the Lounge this week! Scott is the old (and less attractive) brother of Sam! Scott talked about getting started in poetry, and why did he decide to start his Poetry-On-the-Spot? What's the catch or novelty to getting people to stop and request a poem? Well, it's a certain "TYPE" of item that draws young and old! The guys enjoyed asking Scott about his most interesting request, along with his most memorable. Overall, this wasn't a great hang out because Scott is related to Sam, it's because he was just GREAT to listen to his stories, and his journey to this point, and what he hopes to accomplish! What a fabulous time, and you should sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
To find Scott, you can search "Poetry on the Spot" on any social media, and find him!
For their 40th show, the guys joined up with the PodAskew Podcast (CJ & Rico) to do a two-part CROSSOVER! Part 1 is in the Lounge where we talked grilling, favorite Thanksgiving side dishes, and other food-related banter! Rico gave a sound effect of something very intimate to a lot of us! We played SHENANIGANS! It's a longer version than usual, but it is SOOO good! CAN RICO MAKE UP FOR WHEN CJ PLAYED AND COULDN'T PULL OUT THE "W?!" CAN RICHEY BEAT ANYONE IN THIS ONE?! Find out! The PodAskew Podcast is a movie based show, so the guys did a "Let's Draft" where they all drafted movie lines from ANY movies of their choosing! The first two rounds are here in the Lounge, and then the final FOUR rounds are completed in PART 2 of the Crossover, on the PodAskew Podcast! It's always great to collaborate! HEY, that rhymes! This show was spectacular, and the guys loved having PodAskew on the show!
Catch Part 2 of the Crossover on the PodAskew Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/1SXNUYTNi0KlAXSOZLORUb?si=U8UQkLV5TvG4xO-p14OoPA **WARNING** The PodAskew Podcast is NOT family-friendly, so please make sure you do not let audiences under a certain age listen... ya know... YOU listen, and give the younger Loungers a brief synopsis of the Draft... YOU enjoy the rest!
The FBI, DEA, & Secret Service couldn't get this week's guest, but the Lounge got him! Author Jordan O'Donnell comes to the Lounge and drops some GREAT knowledge of how the country is in a position that needs change. Jordan worked for two and a half years in the FBI, after being a wrestler at Virginia Tech while getting his undergrad and graduate degrees. After that, he had offers to join the FBI, DEA & Secret Service, and he TURNED THEM ALL DOWN to write his book, "Zoon Garden!" Richey came prepared and got "that's a good question" from Jordan MULTIPLE TIMES, and the guys reveal a hidden thing they try for every show!
Jordan talks about the road trip he's going on... WITH COMPLETE STRANGERS?! How "strange" are they, to Jordan? Are they coming through Indiana? Who's doing the cooking while on the road? What is the message he wants to accomplish with his bus trip around the country? ALL of these get answered!
Richey and Sam introduce Jordan to what a Pudgy Pie is, and that it MIGHT be a great addition to the bus trip, and cooking on the fire! Jordan is intrigued and talks about pizza rolls roasted on the fire?! OH, and then Sam has to tell Jordan that he prefers Hot Pockets from the oven! The guys talk about facial hair and how men love it, and their ladies... not so much!
They talked about what soured him on working with the FBI, and why he didn't want to stay inside the bureaucracy to continue his career. Jordan talks about They are all over the place with their topics, and they loved having him hang out! Jordan talks about his book, and then talks about where you can find him and his "goings-on," which is https://www.jordanodonnellauthor.com/! SO, sit back, relax, and #grabalisten!
The guys are blown away, this week, by author Wayne McFarland! Wayne wrote his "memoirs" in the form of "Tales From the Day: Life shaping events that truth be told all happened under the heading of... oops." The book is packed full of 27 adventures that shaped his life, and the guys were amazed at the few they got to chat about during Wayne's time in the Lounge!
Sam ordered the book in hopes to be able to take it with him on vacation, but something happened to keep that from happening, and while he was looking for consolation, Wayne and Richey were having none of it! Wayne DID talk about a few of the adventures that he wrote about in the book like: Going on a road trip with a monkey, losing $10,000 at the Hollywood sign, and the day Johnny Cash hit on his wife! Did Wayne run with the bulls? There's a story about that topic! What about Shark fishing while in his underwear? YEP, he's got a story! AMAZING stories, and what an AMAZING guest! SIt back, relax, and #grabalisten!
Get "Tales from the Day" here!
If you haven't figured it out by now, the guys LOVE to laugh! This week, they were LOVING the banter when comedian, writer, and actor Aaron Kleiber came to the Lounge and hung out! Just a cool dad, Aaron has a comedy special on Amazon Prime called, "Grown @%$ Dad." You can also find it on other "audio-only" platforms (i.e. Spotify & others)! AARON WAS GREAT!
He talks a lot about being a dad and the funny things that come from those times with his family! He hit close to home with Sam when Aaron talks about cargo shorts being the "dad purse" for EVERYONE ELSE'S STUFF! Aaron chats about how he toured with Harland Williams and toured with Steve-O! FIREBALLS?! Yeah... there's a story there! Aaron talks about how his family handles being the topic of his comedy, how he fleshes out a bit and hating a cartoon character! Little Matt asks Aaron about "Pam" and whether or not it was indeed the in the guys' home state! Aaron explains that "Only Pam Can Judge!" Such an incredible hang out with Aaron! How would older comics translate to today's world of comedy? How about watching "the Office?" Aaron puts his own special spin that he and his wife put onto watching the show during the pandemic! He also tells about what he HAD going on until March 2020 hit! What a great dude! Aaron talks about MAYBE coming back regularly to have some "Dad Chat" with the guys! That makes us VERY excited because the guys SO enjoyed the time with Aaron! Enough about this, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
Find out EVERYTHING about Aaron by going to his website! https://www.aaronkleiber.com/

The Lounge heads back to the baseball field with infielder for the Midland Rockhounds, Nate Mondou! Making his second appearance in the Lounge, Nate talks to the guys about his profession, and is absolutely great! Where is the baseball season heading? Does he think there will be any minor league baseball or is it a lost cause, for the year? What scenarios has he heard that he thinks are feasible, and what does he see as the best way to get a season in? Does the fact the other sports (NBA & NHL) are going to be completing their seasons mean MLB HAS to get something in? What is it about Memorial Day that made this season SO different than so many others? Nate answers all these with great professionalism, and is funny and personable while answering!
The guys also ask him about some things that happen on the road, they ask about mound visits, and so much more! Nate is a person the guys love having come to the Lounge and talk shop! It's a great time, and you should sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
This week's show was a side-splitter, in the Lounge when Steve Morgan hangs out! Comedian, improviser, storyteller, actor, writer, musician as featured on Australia’s ABC and the UK’s BBC, Steven Morgan is a jack of all trades and self-proclaimed master of them all!
Steve nails it when we talk about him getting into comedy, how he develops a bit, and then Sam shares about what part a comedian played in him meeting his wife! Steve moved to Australia, and tells about a piece of advice that he NEVER thought he'd need but does confirm that it's TRUE! Little Matt asks about the differences in the types of comedy in the different places he's lived (UK, Australia, the Netherlands). He shares the story of when he visited New Orleans with his ex, and Sam mentions an eating establishment that he went to, when HE was in New Orleans! Dad jokes make an appearance AND STEVE STEALS THE SHOW ON THOSE TOO! We wrap things up with talking about him teaching comedy in the Netherlands, as well as him trying to speak Dutch! What a great show! SO, sit back, relax, & #grabalisten!
FORE! Karl Barth, a.k.a. Mister Mini-Golf, doesn't putt around, and tees it up in the Lounge! A former technical writer at a Fortune 500 company, decided he wanted to pursue his passion, and play mini-golf, professionally! How did something like that present itself? Sam wants to know, "WHO IN THE WORLD CAME UP WITH THE WINDMILL HOLE?!" How did he come up with the idea of Jack-Putt, and what does it all entail? Is there a course, he's played, that is his favorite? Why in the world would a professional mini-golfer have a championship wrestling belt? SO MUCH WE TALKED ABOUT! What an adventure, and what a guest! Karl surprises the guys with an announcement about something he's doing, and Matt had JUST talked about it, when he was told about having Karl in! Karl has also started a podcast of his own called, "Par 4 the Course: Business Podcast with Mr. Mini Golf!" You can also find his work with Jack-Putt, here! What about all the great hole reviews, https://minigolfreviews.com/! What a great time! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
The guys have a WHOPPER of a guest this week! Chris Carosa, author of "Hamburger Dreams: How Classic Crime Solving Techniques Helped Crack the Case of America’s Greatest Culinary Mystery," came to the Lounge and certainly didn't "wimp" out! Chris was great at having a response to WHATEVER the guys threw his way! Wanna talk stock trading? He has EXCELLENT advice (he DID have a nationally top-rated mutual fund)! Thinking about writing a play or something along those lines? Yeah, he's got experience with that too! How about advice on those carnival games everyone likes to play? Chris tells the "behind-the-scenes" truth about the prizes! With Chris being from Buffalo, Sam HAD to bring up the Bills and their former kicker, and Chris was fabulous in his conversation about the NFL too! AMAZING CONVERSATION with the person that Richey says is, "the smartest man I know!" We won't argue! Chris told about the lessons he learned while working in his grandparents' pizza stand at the county fair, and how that actually deepened his love for business (he started his business career before he hit 13)! How in the world did he discover this hidden passion for the hamburger? The answer is GREAT! The amount of work he put into finding the answers is amazing! ALSO, what do Pete Rose, helping a friend clean out a basement & Joe Montana have to do in a piece of advice about stock trading? You'll have to listen because it's a great connection! Chris was a fantastic guest, and he is our FIRST IVY LEAGUER! Chris graduated from Yale University, and tells a great story about getting a girl's phone number by telling her that he did the radio broadcast of their hockey games! OH, and we forgot to mention, he was a top-rated AM radio DJ, when the AM side still played music! This guy was fantastic, and HE WILL BE BACK! It's not often we run into a guy who puts an exciting spin to EVERYTHING he talks about, and we think he will be a LOYAL LOUNGER! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten

This week's guest left the guys with SO MUCH to talk about! Tavarus Hogans, the owner of True Seven Life, hung out and was great! A former captain of the Vanderbilt Commodores, Tavarus has done great things in his life, and he shared his depth of knowledge in BUNCHES! Tavarus entertains the guys about playing in the SEC and talks about the first victory he had, as a player, while in what is argued to be the best football conference! He is asked about the recruiting process he went through, and how he chose Vanderbilt. Little Matt, the resident Indianapolis Colts fan, asked Tavarus about his year he played in Tampa Bay, with the Buccaneers, under Coach Tony Dungy. Tavarus has a very detailed answer about Coach Dungy's influence! Tavarus talks about the place he feels is the most raucous in the NFL (the answer might surprise you)! What was the process to decide that football was not the way of making a living? Tavarus is level-headed and very thoughtful in how he came to this decision. He talks about his decision to bring in CBD oil under the True Seven Life umbrella, and why he saw it as important to do so. The guys played Over/Under or PUSH, and it was a fun time! Tavarus leaves us talking about his 3 favorite words, in life, and explains why they ring so true. Tavarus was FANTASTIC! The guys really enjoyed the time he spent in the Lounge and really hope he'll come back to hang out, again! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!

The guys "go for a walk" this week! Music producer, author, and collector of great stories, Denny Somach (So-mack) finds the Lounge, and puts on an AWESOME show! Denny tells about the many many years he spent interviewing musicians, and the influence the Beatles had on them! Peter Townshend, the Isley Brothers, Sting, Billy Joel, Elton John... the list goes ON! A veteran of radio production, Denny decided to write a book called, "A Walk Down Abbey Road" (available on Amazon). It "...celebrates the impact and influence the Beatles have had on their generation and the one that followed, on both sides of the Atlantic." The guys ask Denny about the connection Micky Dolenz, who wrote the foreword in "A Walk Down Abbey Road," has with Jimi Hendrix? What's the most stolen road sign in the world? YEP, Abbey Road! BUT, what's the second most stolen? ALSO, did you know there is a street-level camera ON ABBEY ROAD?! Check it out: Abbey Road Cam (https://www.earthcam.com/world/england/london/abbeyroad/?cam=abbeyroad_uk).
Denny tells a great story about Peter Townshend getting his times crossed with Paul McCartney and how it led to Peter not wearing a suit! Sam then asks a question that leads to Denny saying it didn't matter, the Beatles were going to be successful either way! Denny then leaves the Lounge with 2 good ol' fashioned cliff hangers! 1) WAS Yoko responsible for the break-up of the Beatles? 2) How is it that Michael Jackson came to own the Beatles music? WE RAN OUT OF TIME BEFORE WE COULD GET THE ANSWERS! What a great show! OH, and Denny also talks about Arthur Lee and his band Love, and who replaced them as the house band at the Whisky-a-Go-Go! SEE WHAT WE'RE SAYING? Endless stories! IT WAS AWESOME! So, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!

Richey was supposed to be on vacation, but things changed, but we still wanted Josh to be on, because Louie Keen, the Mayor of Uranus (Missouri) drops a HUGE LOAD of jokes and great banter on the Lounge! From the time the guys introduced him until we parted ways, the guys were just like kids again... well, they kind of ALWAYS are like kids, but you know what we mean! JUST...HOW...BIG...IS...URANUS? The mayor asks for help with that answer! The mayor unveils preliminary details on a raffle taking place in Uranus, that could get one listener fame (not fortune) in Uranus for years to come! The guys go "off script" this week! CJ from the PodAskew Podcast joined the Lounge for the entire show! Great conversations came from his hanging out! Richey shows admiration to those who translate an event with American Sign Language, and that spurs talk about signing at concerts! Matt mentions he shaved his head, and resembled Sam for a few days, and then the guys talk about going bald! Sam asks what everyone thinks about the major sports leagues trying to figure out their seasons. Should they even be worrying about it? SHENANIGANS comes back from a two-month hiatus, and it was not crappy... or was it?! Little Matt treats the Lounge to a DOUBLE-DOSE of Let's Chat, and EVEN CJ contributed to Let's Chat with one of his own! WHAT!? THREE LET'S CHATS IN ONE SITTING?! YEP! It was a FANTASTIC show! It was not the norm, but it was fun, and just what the doctor ordered! Sam surprises Richey and Little Matt with a special-guest announcement for next week, as well! Jeff talks about what to take on the trail, how many people they cross paths with while hiking, and water's importance! They get back on the topic of Jim Whyte, and talk about Jim's panning for gold, if he had children, and was Jim Whyte is REAL name? It's all included! Richey and Little Matt then play Over/Under or PUSH to round out the dessert! AWESOME extra this week! Sit back, relax, and enjoy dessert! #grabalisten
The hits just keep on comin! Author, adventurer, historian, and photographer, Jeffrey (Jeff) H. Ryan hangs out in the Lounge and is quite possibly LEGEN....wait for it... DARY! He blew the guys away with his story about Jim Whyte, a hermit in the 1920's, who lived in northern Maine! Jim had a very "unusual" childhood and sailed the seas for many years! THAT IS ALL BEFORE HE STARTED RUNNING DRUGS FROM CANADA, TO CHINATOWN IN NEW YORK CITY! How in the world did Jeff run across the tail of Jim? Well, the answer might interest you! Jeff talks about Whyte's story (at least that of which we know) and tells about Jim's falling out with his father, and Freemasons(?) come up?! Jeff also lived in a van, and the guys ask him about whether he did it Matt Foley-style! Jeff tells about meeting his friend Bob, and Little Matt and Sam tell the story about their run-in with their own "Bob!" Amazing show... while you're keeping your social distancing, sit back, relax, and #grabablisten!

The guys finish hanging out with Sasquatch expert and author Chris Noel! He tells about interacting with them, how they play games, and why he has devoted over the last decade of his life to studying sasquatch! He gives the Lounge a nickname that is apropos to the current pandemic... or maybe he was talking about beer! We chat a little about how the NBA might be able to still complete its season on time, and about senior (in-school) athletes. What does his day look like, every day? It's all here! ALSO, Little Matt has a "Let's Chat!" This dessert will leave you looking for a glass of water because it's so rich! WOOOO! Sit back, relax, and enjoy your dessert! #grabalisten!
What is sasquatch (or as some know him, Bigfoot)? How has it managed to exist FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS and not be discovered?! Sasquatch expert Chris Noël joined the guys in the Lounge! The guys were amazed by the depth of knowledge that Chris shared! What constitutes evidence? Not exactly what you would think! How does he deal with skeptics when confronted by them? How does Chris explain the ability of the sasquatch to remain unearthed? Listener Lea gives a question, and Chris HAMMERS how a novice might be able to start tracking themselves! Where do they live? Is it only in the Pacific Northwest United States!? FIND OUT! Chris was great! We only scratched the surface with Chris, and we plan on having him back... TO DIVE IN DEEPER! Great conversation! Sit back, relax, and #grabalisten!

For the second straight week, the guys got learned! Author Steve Snyder came to hang out in the Lounge! Steve wrote, "Shot Down: the true story of pilot Howard Snyder and the crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth." What an amazing journey Steve took us on during his time with the guys! His father, Howard, was the namesake of the title of the book! Steve tells us about how he came to writing the book, and all of the people he talked to during his research, INCLUDING THE MAN WHO SHOT HIS FATHER'S PLANE DOWN! When was it that his father finally told Steve about the time he spent in Belgium? He also explains the message the book is intended to send, and the most dangerous job, in WWII. The guys sat and listened in amazement as Steve told about his father making his way to safety, from Occupied Belgium.
Steve then ventured into the world of sports and talked about his love for UCLA basketball, and the first-ever game at the famous Pauley Pavilion, on the campus of UCLA. The two-time National Champions were upset in that game... by a VERY unexpected opponent! Steve was there! Why are the Rams thinking about changing their logo?! Steve shares his thoughts! What a show! The guys introduce a new game! "Over, Under or PUSH!" makes its debut, and we think it's safe to say, it's got potential! Richey had to miss this episode, but Brice sat in and was a solid C+! HAHA! What else do we talk about? Well... THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION........ MATT! #grabalisten

It's time to put on your school hat, and sit back and learn about the American Civil War and the Alamo with author/historian William C. Davis (his friends call him "Jack")! Author of OVER 20 titles, Jack writes mostly about the Civil War, but does write about other subjects like the Alamo! Richey was VERY excited to talk to Jack about his book, "Three Roads to the Alamo: The Lives and Fortunes of David Crockett, James Bowie, and William Barret Travis." Sam talks to Jack about whether Jefferson Davis was a proponent of the South seceding from the Union, and Jack talks about who he feels was the biggest inspiration during the Civil War.
It cannot always be work, so what does Jack do for "relaxation?" Well, it might just bring Jack to Sam's neck of the woods! Jack is certainly one of the most captivating people to come into the Lounge, and he will return again someday! So, sit back, relax, and always be there to #grabalisten!

When he's listening to music, who is on his playlist? Erik also talks about winning TWO Emmy awards! There's SO MUCH MORE that we couldn't fit it all into this episode! *Hint-there might be some more coming out later this week!*
The guys also Crack a Six-Pack, and even dive into a Let's Chat! There's a little talk about Little Matt's Colts, and Sam's Bears in the NFL segment! What a show, and what a week! Sit back, relax, AND as always, be sure you're there to #grabalisten!

**ATTENTION** This week's show is a phenomenal show, but there are some topics that are of a mature nature. We want to make sure that if you have ears that are listening, and you don't want them to hear about mental health issues that might go further than you'd like, that you maybe wait to listen to the show when those ears aren't around! It's still PG-13, but we don't want to start conversations about things you aren't ready to talk about quite yet!**
The Mental Health Comedian, Frank King (@theMHcomedian) joins the guys in the Lounge! Sam and Little Matt sat down and hung out with him and had a GREAT time! Frank talks about what led him to comedy, some comedians he's work with, in the past, and issues that he deals with every day, and how that's led him to write a BOOK! OH... and he just got done with an international trip that made some news! You can find a lot more information about Frank, and his quest for better mental health at https://www.thementalhealthcomedian.com/. Rounding out our "Dessert," Mama Richey calls Richey and a hilarious story ensues! WHAT A GREAT WEEK! TWO GREAT releases of the time we had, in the Lounge, with Nate! #grabalisten
