Episode 147 (National Champion UConn)

Episode 147 (National Champion UConn)

For the 5th time in program history, all coming from 1999 and later, Connecticut is the NCAA Champions! The Huskies ran through the NCAA Tournament like a hot knife through butter winning all 6 games by 13 points or better, the first-ever team to do so. The entire ECB crew including the newest member Trevor Everette breaks down UConn's path to victory, and dominance, where this puts them in the Blue Blood discussions, and Coach Dan Hurley's profile now as a Champion.

We take a look back at the 2022-23 season as a whole and discuss what stood out from such a chaotic year. Was this year the beginning of a trend in the sport of mid-majors making deeper runs? Is the Transfer Portal becoming more important than traditional recruiting? Are 1st-year coaches being able to win right off the bat now?

Wrapping up Episode 147 we take out the crystal ball and look into the future as it stands on April 6th for the 2023-24 season. Do the traditional powers bounce back? Has Gonzaga missed their window? Big 10 down year? We answer all these questions and more!
