Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 108)- Interview With Former Illinois Big Man, Maverick Morgan
It's Fourth Of July Weekend, people! Sun, blue skies, fireworks, brats, dogs, burgers, beers, lakes, oceans, pools, creeks, streams, and literally any body of water. Those are the only 2 things you need: a grill and a body of water. We discuss where exactly does Apple Pie fit into that equation. We also talk about the new NIL rule where players can profit. Apparently Jordan Bohannon is already signing autographs at a Firework store. Finally we have a very insightful and candid interview with former Illinois center, Maverick Morgan. He joins us to discuss everything from growing up in Southwest Ohio to playing in the Big Ten to playing in Europe.

Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 107)- Greg Gard Audio & Penny Stays With Memphis
Don't ever say we aren't accountable. Call us dumb, uninformed, hacks, fairweather. Whatever you want, just don't say we aren't accountable. Because we made a promise to deliver 2 episodes per month and damnit, on the last day of June, we did just that so hug for us. We talk about the Greg Gard audio with his players and Penny staying with Memphis after an interview with the Orlando Magic and hiring a legendary name to his staff.

Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 106)- Coach Talk, UMass Statues and Transfers
No guest today unfortunately and no Taylor either so it's just Subbi and The Shark bantering about quite literally nothing. We talk everything from Slack to Family Karma to the statue standard at UMass. We also finally get around to discussing the Coach K and Roy Williams departures and offer our thoughts on their successors. Then we do our own version of "Who He Play For" as it pertains to all of the transfers that have taken place since we last gave you an update. Finally, we wouldn't be as absurd as we are if we didn't give a Family Karma college basketball comparison. Be good.

Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 104)- Interview With Matt Moore-Alameda
Do you like the Metropolitan area? Do you like Boston College? Listen to this episode then because we chat with our good pal, MMA, and discuss everything from Knicks, Nets, Devils, Rangers, Islanders, Mets and his beloved BC Eagles. We first talk about the Jim Christian era and harken back to the Steve Donahue era as well. But fear not, after we talk about those train wrecks we focus our attention on Earl Grant. Nope, not the pianist but the head coach. Also sincere hug to Mary Annes in Brighton, MA. It closed down but was an absolute ESTABLISHMENT to the BC students.

Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 101)- Elite 8 recap & Final 4
If we're being honest with each other the Elite 8 games kinda stunk with the exception of UCLA/Michigan. Hell UCLA might've played the two best games of the tournament and they won. Their prize? Gonzaga. Then we look at the other side of the bracket with the Lone Star Shootout as Baylor and Houston are set to square off. The Final 4 is upon us ladies and gents!

Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 91)- Dry January, Blue Bloods & Tourney Schedule
Just The Shark & Subbi today as they dive into an array of topics. First we discuss dry January and Whole 30. It's tough but there is no denying that you wake up feeling refreshed. But don't fret, we'll rip the band aid off on Super Bowl Sunday. Then we talk about the fact that for the first time in 60+ years, neither Duke, UNC nor Kentucky are ranked. Wild COVID times we live in but that's why Subbi says that this year doesn't really count. Throw an asterisk on it! Then we discuss if Baylor is getting enough credit, Subbi goes down a rabbit hole and probably needs some air and we discuss if you can lose your Blue Blood status. Then we talk about the new tournament schedule. Some very reactionary opinions but there's no doubt it's a shock to the system. A gut punch. We venture to May I Have Some More and round it out with Hugs.

We then head to the northeast to highlight BU wearing masks while playing and UConn jogging our memory as they're in the top25 representing the Big East. We also did some rebranding. Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 78)- Improved Teams, Silvio De Sousa & UMass Probation
Fair warning: we went down a few rabbit holes and I think we may need to seek help. The Shark kicks us off with an epic diatribe aiming his vitriol at the Washington Football Team and McCarran Airport. We discuss the new allegations re: Greg Marshall and his time at Winthrop and wonder if there's another coach more likely to make a scene at his kid's birthday party. We also discuss Silvio De Sousa's departure from Kansas and what it means for him and the team moving forward. Then we address our Northeastern roots and discuss UMass as they've been hit with a 2 year probation. It always seems like the small schools get pinched while the big boys do not. Real shame. Then we interview one of the most energetic and positive individuals we've ever had, Pantelis Xidias. He tells us about the season DePaul had, how the postseason cancellation was conveyed to him and he coins the term "Hypeful." Finally we end with Hugs and TWIT.

You know how at the end of every show we give out hugs? Well, TICH might be in need of a hug. With the news of fans not being allowed to enter stadiums during March Madness, the boys are downtrodden, hurt, befuddled, confused but most of all sad. We try to make sense of it all and try to identify if there are any silver linings in this. How will this impact your bracket? How will this impact your viewing habits? How will this impact your overall satisfaction with life? Hopefully we gave you some guidance. Then, we cheer up a bit as we welcome first timer and former Wisconsin basketball player, JD Wise, to the program to share some stories about his playing days and his thoughts on this current Wisconsin team. We cap it off with TWIT and Hugs.

We discuss the best of the past then Subbi quizzes the Shark to see if he can differentiate those slogans between a Lil Jon/EDM song. Theater In College Hoops (Ep.57)- Interview with former Dayton player Logan Nourse, Baylor/Kansas, Creighton love & doppelgangers
Packed show this Thursday. We briefly preview the biggest game of the weekend, maybe of the regular season and DEFINITELY of the Big 12 season as Baylor hosts Kansas. From a scorching hot team in Baylor to another, we finally give Creighton its due. They haven't lost in a month, you guys. Why is nobody talking about them? Time to give them the Kiss of TICH. Then we ramble about rims, nets and doppelgangers. A true rabbit hole for the insane college basketball mind. Complete lunacy. We also welcome to the program former Dayton Flyer basketball player, Logan Nourse. He discusses his time there and what he's expecting from his boys as we head towards March. We top it off with Where Am I? and Hugs.

February 14, 2020
Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 55)
Love is in the air, my sweet theater goers. Despite this fact, The Shark got into a Twitter fight with some guy in Georgia named John Wick. We then discuss the former ugly ducklings (Dayton, SDSU and to an extent Gonzaga) and their glow up. We call it "Boggsing" in reference to Laney Boggs and the great She's All That/Not Another Teen Movie. Which one of those 3 has the best chance to hoist the title? Then we do a little review of Rothstein's show "Stuffed" and we found out what Ian Eagle's son is up to. After that, we have the hilarious Chris Alphen on to discuss Penn State's historic season and end it with Where Am I? and Hugs.
February 13, 2020
Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 54)
The Shark gets his 15 minutes of fame. Literally. After a lost bet in the Maryland/Illinois game, The Shark gets 15 minutes of uninterrupted talking. Think of it as his big soliloquy. He touches upon his favorite college basketball teams, players and movies from the last 30 years. Riveting stuff. Taylor and Subbi come to the rescue and discuss Oscars, Bob Knight's return and the Duke/UNC wild ending. Then we all vent about Arizona and how underwhelming they truly are as a program. Great show today as we sit down with friend of the program and Assistant Director of Operations for Auburn men's basketball, Mike Burgomaster. Shame on us. We forgot to celebrate our 50th episode. FIFTY! YEAH! *Polly Prince voice* We dive into the past week in college hoops that includes a HOT streak from the Rhode Island Rams. Butler and Auburn have had a tough 2 week stretch but their gutty wins on the road against Georgetown and Ole Miss respectively helps them avoid a potential tailspin. We also talk about Subbi's boots on the ground in DePaul and him getting owned by a fan in the row behind him. Baylor is the 7th #1 team in the country, Louisville makes Shark eat his words meanwhile Payton Pritchard makes Subbi and Taylor eat their words. Lotta eating, lotta crow. Dayton's magical season continues courtesy of Jalen Crutcher and Providence gets a gut punch from Creighton. Also, we bid the question: Is Florida the most unpredictable team in the country? We round it out with Hugs and Where Am I?
January 21, 2020
Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 48)- Team hashtags, Shark fed up with BC, Louisville is toxic
We were kinda all over the map with this one. We recapped the big items from the past week including the Shark being #done with BC, the best hashtags from mid majors, an INSANE shot from Ryan Daly of St. Joes and a new nickname for a Big 10 player. We had to give love to Clemson and Baylor for exorcising demons on the road and Subbi thinks Baylor should be ranked #1. January 14, 2020
Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 47)
What a terrible day for the Shark to be out. This episode was right up his wheelhouse because we covered all of the theater that took place on Tuesday including BC beating Virginia, Tennessee beating Cuonzo and Maryland beating Ohio State. We also had a Markus Howard game that came up short, but Subbi still isn't buying PC. Also, we're all very ashamed of Iowa's performance in Nebraska but on the flip side, Rutgers is... decent? Then we predict Arizona vs. Oregon and the big daddy on Saturday: Baylor vs. Kansas. We end it with Where am I? and Hugs.
January 9, 2020
Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 46)
Much like Texas football... we're BAAAAAAACK. No but seriously, unlike Texas football we're actually back. We recap our holiday vacations, Taylor went to McKale Center, The Shark and Subbi broke bread at their favorite diner and we even talk Golden Globes. We highlight theater after all.
