I’m just not into beating myself up at the end of the day, when everything I wanted to do doesn’t get done. I’m so not about that life because I find it cripples more than helps. To hear more about it, hit that play button and listen to my last podcast.
Happy Oogie Boogie Month and Hello October! Smoochie Face, the best husband in all the land, got me a Canon EOS M50 and now I don't have to fight with my old camera when making videos. Best, hubby EVER!
Hey Guys! I’m going on an unexpected but fun adventure and in doing that, I’m taking a hiatus from podcasting. To hear about it listen to my cast titled HIATUS as well as a few other goodies listed below.
SCHEDULED CREATIVITY (aired 31/July)
MENTAL DECLUTTER (aired 16/July)
DRIVE and CONFIDENCE (aired 29/July)
PERFECTION, DOUBT and VOICE (aired 25/July)
WEED THE FEED, DIGITAL DECLUTTER (aired 2nd/July)
Today’s cast is about scheduled creativity, waiting on the muse and magic balance. Big thanks to Ray Otus from PLUNDERGROUNDS who called in and inspired this episode titled, SCHEDULED CREATIVITY. To visit Ray's podcast click either his name or his podcast name. Thanks again, Ray. This was a lot of fun. Creativity is my wheelhouse and I'm happy to yap about it any chance I get.
The lack of confidence in something is not strong enough to override my drive to get that thing done. Hi. I'm Ivy, The Happy Whisk and welcome to today's episode, DRIVE & CONFIDENCE. To hear my last show, click PERFECTION, DOUBT & VOICE.
Struggling with voice? Overly concerned about perfection? Has the Doubt Monster landed on your front step? Hi. I’m Ivy, The Happy Whisk and I’m passionate about not letting those things get in the way of creating. And in today’s cast I talk more about how I handle perfection, doubt and voice.
Having my own space to create is huge. So today, I'm playing hooky from edits and videos to spend time creating a better work space. To hear my last cast about letting go of what doesn't work, click MENTAL CLUTTER - Thanks and boogie boogie!
I'm all about letting change do it's thing to take me where I want to go and sometimes, that means starting over. Thanks for stopping by, I'm Ivy and welcome to episode ALLOWING CHANGE by The Happy Whisk.
To stay focused on things that didn't go right in the past is a HUGE disservice to the creative people we are right now. To hear about moving on to keep creativity going in the right direction, click the play button and have a listen.
it's been a beautiful summer day and we've been out and about and I tell ya', I almost didn't podcast. I very nearly, broke the 44 but happy to report, I made it in just under the midnight deadline. Happy Weekend and thanks for tuning in.
It's clean sheet day here at The Manor and we are soon to be off staycation BUT ... close doesn't mean done. We've got three days left. Hot dog. Big thanks for today's call-ins. Check them out by clicking their names below.
Colin Green - Spikepit
Frank T. - Frank T's Liner Notes
Evil Jeff - Minions and Musings
Ray Otus - Plundergrounds
I'm reporting live from Barnes parking lot in this ask me anything podcast. Big THANKS to Lieren for playing along! To visit Lieren click the following hyperlink. Thanks for listening and boogie boogie. Anchor.fm/Lieren
Back in the day when I drew cartoons, recorded videos or wrote a blog post - I had to publish them the second they were done. Fast forward to these days and more often than not, IT CAN WAIT. Unless I’m at Barnes, then all bets are off because it’s just too much fun to post live from the bookstore café.
For me, it all boils down to being ourselves and sharing the things we're passionate about. Even if that means building a new audience and losing a few old subscribers along the way. I say, embrace it!
For today's cast, I've put together a bit of call-in stew. If you want to hear the cast they're referring to click TOXIC PEOPLE and that should take you to the previous episode.
Thanks for listening and I'll catch you in the next podcast. Whisk, out.
I made this episode because I got fired-up after listening to Jason Hobbs at Random Screed. I was about to call into his show but instead of pulling a Jackson, I made my own podcast.
Visit Hobbs at Random Screed. And check out his Patreon at Hobbs & Friends.
I used to be afraid of the Internet. But before I knew it, I was making blog posts, videos, vlogs and podcasts. Having said that, I still have one big fear and I talk about that in today's podcast called, GETTING OUT OF MY OWN WAY.
Shout out and big thanks to Ray Otus of Plundergrounds for inspiring today's podcast, VOMIT DRAFT.
Vomit drafts help me stay focused plus, not afraid to make mistakes. As for not getting distracted? That's easy! I unplug and quietly work on whatever I'm creating for the day.
To hear more about it, hit that play button. Check out Ray's website at www.jellysaw.com Thanks & boogie boogie!
