Whenever it comes down to hard work and high demand, we begin to get very impatient, and this mostly happens within a lot of fitness journeys. Myth Busted: "Will you gain Weight by eating before bed?"

We all have grown up with myths, "Bread makes you fat", "You can't lift weights before a certain age", "Fruit will make you gain fat". Yes, I've heard all these before, and I know most of you have too. Myths are created to: 1)scare someone it believing it will happen to cause an opposite affect, or 2) just to be right. In this episode I will be busting the greatest myth of them all, and I know you've heard it once or twice before. "You can't eat before bed because that will make you fat". What kind of fact is this right? How can you "gain weight" eating and sleeping before bed but not gain weight by eating and sitting on the couch all day? It's basically the same thing. In both situations you're sedentary, doing minimal movement, and sometimes you might even take a little nap. Eating before bed won't cause fat/weight gain. What will cause weight gain is the amount of bad nutritional choices you make from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed.  You need to change your mindset from "will this make me fat", to, "is this going to nourish my body". There are a few reasons why the mind to body connection is crucial. In this episode I will share with you the 3 most important reasons why the mind to body connection is essential to achieve, maintain, and strengthen. Before we begin talking about these reasons, let's understand first what "Mind to Body Connection" Really means. The body will do what the mind wants it to do, but what good is that if the movement or task isn't done correctly or at it's best ability?  When I first began my weightlifting journey, I wasted tons of time worrying about quantity over quality. I wanted to push heavy weights no matter what my form looked like. Not only did it not work, but I did a lot of work for minimal gains. The mind to body connection is essential to dominating your body and achieving the most valuable gains you can ever imagine. The mind to body connection is important for: Muscle gain, Strength gain, and injury prevention. The most important one out of these three is the injury prevention. What is reverse dieting and how it will benefit your health & physique - Kelly Nicole

Majority of people are currently under eating. Most people want to "lose weight and get toned", but to achieve these goals, you must build lean muscle and shred fat. To build lean muscle, you need to eat. The endless circle of failure comes from doing tons of cardio, eating a low amount of calories, and wishing for that athletic look. Then you might hear that, "hey you need to eat more. You wont fulfill your goals by eating 1,000 calories", so the next day you decide to eat 2,200 calories, or maybe you finished a 1,200 calorie diet and now want to eat 2,200 calories to build muscle. You can not just jump 1,000 calories in a day for many reasons, and that's what our guest speaker, Kelly Nicole, will be sharing with us today!


With a low metabolic intake, your metabolism will adapt to your caloric consumption. When this happens, it's mainly because your body has went into survivor mode which means it's storing energy (fat) because it doesn't know it will have food again. A lot of people do this for years which then cause metabolic adaption (what I just explained before). There is a process of going from a caloric deficit to fulfilling your body's needs. Sometimes this means jumping 1,000 plus calories, but you don't do this in a day or even a week, you do this over time. This process is called, "reverse dieting". 


Reverse dieting will ensure the best results are created with minimum fat gain and majority muscle growth.

Training & eating right play big roles in sculpting your body and keeping your health strong. These are very simple things to do. You get a training plan you just follow it, show up to your workouts, finish it, and done! With your meal plan, you follow it, measure your foods, eat, and your done! But there are many other factors to create success within your transformation journey. Other important factors to keep in mind are your stress levels, sleep, and your surroundings. Stress has been proven to cause major life threatening health issues. It causes gut problems, blood issues, and much more. Bad sleep cause lack of hormonal releases and recovery chemical reactions to take place. Most importantly, the people you surround yourself with, and the environments you're putting yourself in, also play a major role in your journey. Following a meal plan and training regime is simple, but during the hard times and after a long day of work when stress levels are high, your friends and some family are unsupportive, you're not getting enough sleep, and this goes on for days at a time. Everyone wants to lose weight, but everyone thinks weightloss comes with fatloss and that's not true. It some cases yes, if someone has a higher body fat percentage then yes, by fixing the way they eat and move they will lose weight and some of it will come from body fat. What about the people who want to see their abs? what about people who want to see some more definition for the summer beach days? Most importantly, what about the people who want to get and stay healthy? Weightloss wants to trick you in thinking that if you pay attention to how much weight you're losing, that eventually you'll be happy, but not to happy because now you're starving, not enjoying life, and not seeing the sculpting progress you want to see. You can lose weight by losing water. You can lose weight by losing muscle. You can lose weight by losing fat. Why FAD Diets Will Never Work!

"Lose 20lbs in less than 60 days, guaranteed!". This is an example of a headline of a FAD diet that catches peoples eyes because at the time of them searching for help, they are desperate and vulnerable wanting results now! I was guilty of this as well plus thousands of others, so you're not alone. When I went to the supplement stores and I saw a protein supplement that would say "Gain 8lbs of muscle in 2 weeks" I would be emotionally attracted because of how bad I wanted results.  There are many reasons why FAD diets will never work, but in this episode I cover about 3 reasons (plus some minor rants) with in depth reasoning behind all three. FAD diets create quick results for a short period of time. Now why do I say that, well because most FAD diets will put you in a caloric deficit to ensure weight loss do to calories in versus calories out. There are side effects, temporary ones, that will damage your health and create more frustrations, struggles, and anger towards why your body isn't doing what you want it to do.
