Falken Motorsports has won both qualifying races for the Nürburgring 24 Hours with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. The four-hour races are considered the most important preparation for the prestigious endurance classic on the storied racetrack. They are also part of the Nürburgring Langsstrecken Series (NLS) for the first time. On Saturday, Falken Motorsports’ No. 44 Porsche won with drivers Tim Heinemann and Sven Müller. On Sunday, victory went to Nico Menzel and Martin Ragginger. Last weekend, Falken Motorsports and Manthey EMA also won the first two NLS races of the year with the 911 GT3 R.

The new MINI family is doing its warm-up laps - and that works best on ice and snow in the bitter cold of the Arctic Circle. The new MINI is currently undergoing its driving dynamics tests at the BMW Group's winter test centre in Arjeplog, Sweden. The new edition of the MINI is fully electric and is now completing a major chapter in its series development process with the winter testing in Sweden. The electric drivetrain, high-voltage battery, power electronics and charging technology of the prototypes are already demonstrating their high degree of maturity at extreme temperatures below freezing. Snow-covered roads and specially prepared areas on frozen lakes also serve as ideal test tracks on which the characteristics of the drive, steering and chassis can be very sensitively tested, refined and harmonised with each other. 

We test out the updated sports car  Let's start under the hood. The legendary VR38DETT V-6 has been given two new turbochargers, lifted straight from Nissan's GT3 GT-R race car. These feature 10-vane turbines instead the 11-vane items used previously, and each vane is 0.3mm thinner, reducing the mass of each turbine by 14.5 percent. That means a 24 percent reduction in inertia, which, Tamura says, translates to a 20 percent improvement in engine response from zero to wide-open throttle.

2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Debuts With Twin-Turbo V6 Making 288 HP

Ford introduced the Ranger Raptor in Europe in August 2018 and now it's already replacing the brawny truck with the next-gen model.
