Seriously, it can be an uncomfortable matter, but that's the whole point, isn't it?

You ever overhear something that just pisses you off? By now you know I do, and today I want to address something that really just irks the hell out of me. It is something I never understood and particularly in today's times it is an attitude that just seems SO self absorbed that it just raises my ire. Also I will address something that is happening, and it is not something I feel good about. It is real, it is dangerous, and it is getting worse.

Look, I'm probably as sick of talking about politics as you are of hearing about them. Unfortunately until things settle down in this country it will be something that is on my mind. But this episode will touch on a slightly broader base as well as we will discuss some of the issues when capitalism and politics travel in the same handcart.

In this episode I talk about the trends on social media of people pushing MLM projects as a way to either supplement or replace their income. When is it ok, and when is it bull? In this episode I take a run at something that came up this past week, and kind of set me off. I am not a fan of the phrase toxic masculinity but in this case it fits, although I really still just prefer the term douchebag. And we are entering the end of the year and the holidays are around the corner, so I have an idea I want to share with everyone.
Food comas, and mass consumerism. What else can we talk about the day after we show how thankful we are for everything by gorging ourselves and passing out. Only to rise and go forth in search of bargain basement deals in the name of being done being thankful for what we have in the name of getting more.

In this episode I am still playing with formatting so bear with me. First off we will look at the impending holiday and some thoughts I have had relating to that and the impact of COVID19 and everything else going on this year. Then a little recommendation section where I talk about something I didn't realize I was going to develop a taste for. Lastly to bring things full circle we will touch briefly on the day after turkey day, the infamous black Friday spending bonanza

In this episode I am going to be changing things up a bit and playing with the format a bit so please bear with me and let me know what you think of the changes. In the first part of the episode I am going to talk about something simple, gratitude. It is such a little thing with such a big impact, and it's pretty shitty that it is not as common as it should be. In the second part of the episode I am going to address something that was proposed by one of the listeners in one of our social media groups, Thanksgiving is around the corner and we are going to talk about cooking for the upcoming festivities, if that is what we want to call them this year.

In this episode I will be talking about the resurgence of the Karens in the world, and what I think it means, and more importantly what we can do about it. Also I touch briefly on the extreme sides of the two primary political ideologies here in the good old USofA, as well as a short Aaron recommends segment with some other shows I would suggest checking out and a couple more local restaurants that could use your support.

There is still nothing official in the election, every legal move is being made to drag the damn thing out. As expected. A lot of us are still sitting at home with out any idea when we will get back to work. Economic relief is still nowhere in sight. Things are not anywhere near back to normal, and the new normal sucks. But it's been a couple of days since the last disaster and maybe it is time to discuss something that has been on my mind and nerves for a while now. Maybe COVID has an upside? It's something to talk about anyway
Getting the most bang for our buck is something we all can stand to do, with times being what they are. This episode contains some of the things I have found to help maintain a decent quality of life with out breaking the bank. Tips that can be useful for people out on their own for the first time or trying to deal with being broke for the first time, this is the voice of experience here.

In this episode I discuss some cooking things that are seasonal, and something I think about a lot. We are going to talk about grilling. Just because it is fall doesn't mean you have to deny yourself the joy that is grilling. And while we are at it why not talk about some unconventional things to grill? Don't mind if I do.
Honestly this is my take on what I think is coming. I don't pretend to know who is going to win, but I bet that it gets challenged, regardless. So I am going to talk about that, and about what I think we all need to do after the dust settles. This stuff needs to be said. We need to do better, we need to act better, we need to focus on what is really important.

This is an episode containing my thoughts regarding something that is hitting a lot of us right now, and my feelings about it and some thoughts on how people are dealing with the situation
You've done it, I've done it too, we're all guilty of it. The free exchange of ideas is a fantastic concept. In this episode I discuss what we got instead, and some of the ways I think we can address it. Some of the things we need to do to deal with each other, and our selves.
I did the Paqui one chip challenge over the past weekend with my buddy Mike. We recorded it on his live stream, the link will be at the bottom of these notes. So doing this viral challenge thing got me thinking about viral challenges and the mentality behind them, and what is here is my thoughts on the matter. And for what it's worth this was my very first viral anything for an internet thing, so there is that. anyway if you decide to watch the video be warned, we went the distance so it is a lengthy one, but the good stuff is from about the six minute mark to about the 25 minute mark.

Ok so it's time to look at a few things to consider when you are looking for your first place. Things to physical look for and at in your new place. Things to consider that will make you life a little easier down the line.
In this episode I am basically laying out what I am planning for a future regular segment about cooking. A little bit of an overview about preparing meals at home for yourself and others. The following episodes in this theme will contain everything from step by step instruction in cooking techniques to recipes, tips, and shopping advice. I will be having guests to talk about cooking and food in general.
The first of what is going to be a regular segment on this podcast, offering advice, tips and tricks for people going out into the world to live on their own for the first time. Whether you are the one moving out or the parent of someone leaving the nest there will be something for everyone.
The title pretty much says it all, my take on a fairly recent development in the scheme of things. The ones who are real big behind their keyboards, and the issues I have with them.

In this episode I am going to talk about the idea of being offended, my take on people getting offended, and I'll throw out a few things that you might find offensive.
Ok so this is some of my thoughts on hatred and prejudice. I promise I tried to keep it from getting too preachy, just my thoughts on the matter. Oh ya I figured out how to add in a listener support thing here if you feel so inclined. Or don't, you're still my friend. It's on the home page.
I added a website www.ihadtosayitpodcast.com
This is just a bit of a bio. A blurb of an audio bit introducing myself and a bit of my background. Just in case you might want to know a little more about how I got to be who I am and think all the things that wind up here.
