What is the difference between "Conspiracy Theory" and "New Normal?"
About three months, based on the current norms. In this episode I discuss the whole stigma attached to the moniker "conspiracy theorist" as well as why we need to start listening to them a little better. Also I talk about what I think is coming and a couple of suggestions about things I think you should be doing to get prepared. There are hard times on the horizon, they will be easier to weather with a little preparation, and we need to start being better.  Go sign up for the news letter Sponsored by Get one free month of webhosting when signing up for a new website by using the promo code QUICKSTART at this website  The Nomad Network:

Yule have to listen
Well the holidays are officially upon us, and I've got more venting to do. It is getting interesting out there. I have some thoughts on people who have been on my case a bit lately, and a few general thoughts on the coming year. Also a few notes about the future of the show and what I am trying to do with it. This will only work if y'all start participating, so come on people. Check out the website, send me your thoughts, ideas, and general stuff. The word for the new year is engagement. The year is winding down, and I have thoughts
In case you missed it, but still want to check out the Discover 2022 event Jason Stapleton did on the 11th here is the link to the replay: I have some thoughts. This is a short episode, it's been a busy week. But there are a few thoughts I've had on looking back at this year. Things are shifting, I think. At least I'm planning on making some moves. You should too.

Cultural Appropriation and Social Media Medical Experts
Discover 2022 Nomad Network Merch Link So there are a lot of people out there screaming about cultural appropriation and it's another case of people wrapping bigotry up under the guise of pride and words they don't understand. Appropriation is not the same as appreciation. And why is everyone that claims to come from a place of acceptance and understanding so opposed to the idea that people can grow and adopt things from other people? Understanding and appreciation are what are going to fix this world. Not telling people what they can or cannot like based on where they are from or what they look like. Also we are going to discuss the new variant, the implications attached to it, and why is anyone still listening to a certain little weasel in a bad hair cut and an expensive suit?

Not only does the media give this act of violence a glancing coverage, the details being presented are far from the whole story, or even really accurate at this point. We will touch on how the media coverage is so different from previous recent events, as well as well as some of the completely unacceptable things that are being said as a result of this horrible situation. Also the end of the year is upon us. The holidays. A time of good cheer. I am going to start the last month of 2021 off by talking about how I think we should be handling the holidays. #WPI #dobetter #bebetter #supportindiepods

The Rittenhouse Verdict and Self Defense in America.
Self defense is not a racial issue. A white kid shooting three white guys who were attacking him is not a racial issue. A black man getting the charges dropped against him due to self defense is not a racial issue. Yet one is blasted across every social media platform and news outlet and the other got a blurb. One has celebrities and athletes crying out, the other is just a two paragraph report. Shooting at people in your high school after a fight is broken up is not self defense, not a racial issue. And not being covered, other than locally, beyond a blurb. In major metro areas there are kids killing each other practically every weekend for months at a time, but there is no outrage, no marches. no protests. No celebrities trying to preach about the injustice of it all. Families are destroyed every weekend when the weather is hot in big cities, but it's in poor neighborhoods so there are no rallies or cries for justice. It's a byline in a police blotter report. The media doesn't point so the dogs don't bark.

Trial matters, skewed reporting and RFID implants
In this episode I am going to talk about the Rittenhouse trial, some of my thoughts on the case. and how it has been handled by the media. Depending on where you get your news you may be misinformed, greatly misinformed, or fairly annoyed. It is being fanned into more of a fire storm than it actually should be, and it is not by accident. Also I will talk briefly about implantable RFID tags and my thoughts on the matter. Thanks for listening,

It's all going sideways
It's been quite the week. The dissent is still spreading, and as usual the vocal minority still thinks they speak for everyone. Things are getting FURTHER out of hand and surprise surprise, I have thoughts on the matter. In this episode we are going to talk about more reckless government mismanagement of our money, and why I take issue with things like handing out hundreds of thousands of dollars to people who broke the law, more talk about the dual standard being held for the elite and the rest of us. But there is still hope. Dissent and noncompliance are starting to take hold. And I have heard rumblings of dissention within the ranks on the left too. And a little side note for the people who need to hear it, You can say you are not happy with one person with out endorsing another person. With that being said Lets Go Brandon, and everyone have a good week.

Well, they are trying to cancel Dave Chapelle again, and really I'm about to go off on why being offended is more of a "you" problem than an "us" problem. I really don't cotton to canceling things as y'all know and I go into why in this episode with a little more depth. Also I will briefly touch on Elizabeth Warren's most recent posturing that, in all honesty is a bigger clue as to her own ego than the stance for the common man than most of her backers are trying to make it out to be. It's called the supply chain
Recently I have heard a lot of people bitching about how capitalism is failing them and whining about product shortages and how the big corporations are screwing the little guy. Here is my problem with that. A LOT of the complaining would go the hell away if people understood basic economics. You can't blame corporations for product shortages when the raw materials (or completed products) are sitting on a cargo ship somewhere waiting to be unloaded because of government interference. I'm getting real sick of people who don't understand what a credit score is trying to tell the country how to fix the economy. Also the morons who think pumping more cash into the system is somehow going to magically create more wealth. Seriously if you don't understand how these things work, it's time to ask someone who does to explain it to you. Not me though, someone with some patience so it doesn't devolve into a yelling match. How Many times does this have to happen before we start the uncomfortable conversations?
Another officer involved shooting. Another tragedy. Another "mass shooting."  This one hit close to home for me. I had family that was there. Was it someone snapping or a beef between individuals with no consideration for bystanders? They are not saying yet. Now is not the time to push agendas. Now is not the time to keep driving a divide deeper into this country. This is not a time to try and push your beliefs onto others, in case you haven't noticed by now that doesn't work. We need to look at the root of the problems, not the symptoms. We need to be aware of how this will be used to drive policies and plans with out actually fixing anything. Also, in a lighter note I answer some Q & A questions after the break. Being serious all the time is unhealthy.  A shout out to the podcasters that submitted questions for me to answer. Birthday Brouhaha
You ever overhear something that just pisses you off? By now you know I do, and today I want to address something that really just irks the hell out of me. It is something I never understood and particularly in today's times it is an attitude that just seems SO self absorbed that it just raises my ire. Also I will address something that is happening, and it is not something I feel good about. It is real, it is dangerous, and it is getting worse. Today's featured podcast spot is A Few Bad Apples. It is a great true crime program that ends with a positive example that is in my regular listening rotation, and it should be in yours too. Toxic Masculinity and The Holidays
In this episode I take a run at something that came up this past week, and kind of set me off. I am not a fan of the phrase toxic masculinity but in this case it fits, although I really still just prefer the term douchebag. And we are entering the end of the year and the holidays are around the corner, so I have an idea I want to share with everyone.

Black Friday
Food comas, and mass consumerism. What else can we talk about the day after we show how thankful we are for everything by gorging ourselves and passing out. Say thank you for Pete's sake, it's not like it will kill you.
In this episode I am going to be changing things up a bit and playing with the format a bit so please bear with me and let me know what you think of the changes. In the first part of the episode I am going to talk about something simple, gratitude. It is such a little thing with such a big impact, and it's pretty shitty that it is not as common as it should be. In the second part of the episode I am going to address something that was proposed by one of the listeners in one of our social media groups, Thanksgiving is around the corner and we are going to talk about cooking for the upcoming festivities, if that is what we want to call them this year. #2020stillsucks #Thanksgiving #gratitude #Istilldontgethashtags #amIdoingitright

There is still nothing official in the election, every legal move is being made to drag the damn thing out. As expected. A lot of us are still sitting at home with out any idea when we will get back to work. Economic relief is still nowhere in sight. Things are not anywhere near back to normal, and the new normal sucks. But it's been a couple of days since the last disaster and maybe it is time to discuss something that has been on my mind and nerves for a while now. Maybe COVID has an upside? The one chip challenge
I did the Paqui one chip challenge over the past weekend with my buddy Mike. We recorded it on his live stream, the link will be at the bottom of these notes. And for what it's worth this was my very first viral anything for an internet thing, so there is that. anyway if you decide to watch the video be warned, we went the distance so it is a lengthy one, but the good stuff is from about the six minute mark to about the 25 minute mark. @paquichips  #onechipchallenge
