Before listening to Clint speak about this condition I just thought it caused by the joints wearing out.
But now, I know it is so much more complex than that - and to treat it , even put it into remission is also a trial and error process. However lucky for you, Clint has done all the hard work for you. And after 10 years of struggling with this condition himself, he has figured out what works for most people to combat this auto-immune disease.
We talk about what others are doing and why it may not work long term and whether or not you can actually remove the need for the drugs that are currently taken.
Well worth the listen, even if you don't suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis.
And of course, if you know someone with this condition please share it with them so we can help them live a more mobile life.
I was really excited for this episode. After first hearing about the Blue-zones I knew I wanted to find out more. And who better to learn off than one of the resident doctors involved with one of the Blue Zones, Loma Linda.
If you are not familiar with the Blue Zones, these are the longest living populations on the planet. Some of which eat small amounts of meat others that eat no meat or animal products of any kind. I talk to Dr Renae about the differences the diet have on life expectancy as well as other key things the blue zone populations do to have such a long life. Not only do they live long, their quality of life is high too.
Dr Renae and I also speak about her upbringing, how to read scientific studies, her time working with Dr Greger as a moderator at nutrtionfacts.org and what else you can do to insure you have a high quality of life. After all, if there is tens of thousands of people living over 100, would you not want to learn how to "copy" them so you can too?
Please go check her out @drrenaethomas as she is highly knowledgable, well -spoken, fun and most importantly very passionate about helping people better understand preventive medicine.
This time. I've flipped the script. I'm being interviewed rather than me being the interviewer!
Emily, my partner thought I would be a good idea to let me be interviewed, and of course she wanted to play interviewer.
So here is 45mins of light hearted fun with some serious under tone into the mind of mindset of The Vegan Coach and how I live my life, coach my clients and of course what I think of the world we live in.
- Why I didn't go vegan earlier
- How I became vegan
- How to be a healthy vegan
Have a listen and let me know what you think!!
You may know him as part of Dirty Sanchez, or maybe from his more recent project Dirty Vegan TV, but whichever way, Mathew Pritchard isn't the usual "vegan" that you might think of when you hear that word.
From pro skater to stuntman, MTV personality and now Vegan Chef and host of Dirty Vegan TV he is covered in tattoo's and full of life (and swearwords, if you have . kids around maybe best to listen at a later time.)
In this 30min podcast we cover..
- His Story
- What It means to be vegan to him
- The mission behind dirty Vegan TV
- His addictions, and if he has any regrets
- Plans to run 10x triathlons in a ROW
...plus advice for new vegans young and old.
100% not your average vegan which makes for not your average podcast.
Have a listen and let me know your thoughts!
Something that I never really consider was cosmetics, and how they are or are not tested on animals.
As a male, it is pretty easy to avoid products tested on animals, because well I only use 1 or 2. But I'be released that most of my listeners are female, and you ladies love to wear make up, and I'm sure you would love how to find out which products are cruelty free and which are not.
This is what this podcast is all about.
Nicole and I dive deep into the cosmetic industry here, and in china where practices are less than ideal.
We talk about which brands should be avoided and how to know if there are any loop holes being exploited by any of these companies.
So if you like make up; I know you do. And if you want it from a cruelty free and usually environmental friendly place then this podcast is your go to animal friendly masterclass.
Follow Nicole (@veganbeautygirl) and give this a like if you enjoyed it :)
Morning Raves, self love and books are just few of the things Adam and I speak about in this episode of The Fit Vegan Podcast.
Both Adam and I are not only like minded, but have very similar points of view of the common issues surrounding the plant based vegan lifestyle.
Adam (@theplantpwoeredpt) is on a mission to educate men and women how they can get fit, strong and healthy, whilst eating a plant-based, vegan diet, transforming their bodies and the planet in the process.
He has been Personal Training since 2009 and in November 2014 I adopted a plant-based vegan diet after eating meat his whole life, for ethical and environmental reasons.
Changing the world starts with changing yourself first, and the one thing you can have complete control over each day is the food you eat.
Please take the time to have a listen, as we teach how to build muscle, stay fit, and save the planet all in one jam packed 45mins!
Please share and like if you enjoyed this podcast!!
This one is a little different.
I talk with @bencoomber about his journey with Veganuary. Ben is a top guy, and a well known authority in the UK fitness and nutrition industry.
He is extremely open-minded and wanted to give Veganuary a proper go this year to get a better understanding of conscious eating and living. I chat to him at the end of January to see how he found it. The answer? I think "eye opening" is the best way to describe it.
I would say that he has learnt a lot - and although not staying vegan there are things that him and I agree need to change in this world if we are going to live long and healthy lives.
Have a listen and let me know what you think
Do you have PCOS? If not - I'm sure you know someone that does.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects 1 in 10 woman, and to be fair can make weight loss a little more challenging; especially if you have the insulin resistance that can come with it.
However, no matter how challenging it might be, with the right help and mindset weight loss can still be achieved.
Teresa, the guest on the episodes podcast is testament to that.
At the time of publishing this podcast, she is a current client of mine and lost 10kg over the last 3.5 months working together.
All I want for you to gain from this episode, is hope, maybe some tips and of course motivation to keep going; because you will get there!
Have a listen and let me know what you think
Note - the volume is a bit jumpy (sorry!)

Please share if you enjoy it!
Mitch @mitchskitchen and I first met when we were both panelists at a vegan event.
To me, it was clear that we had come from similar places before we were vegan and had similar mindsets now about the vegan world.
We both wanted vegans to be as healthy as possible, and that was the theme of this podcast.
How can we do that? And how can everyone else live a more compassionate life??
Listen in for some amazing insight to what we think the future for vegans that want to be healthy holds!
A little over 3 ½ years ago Adam weighed 310lbs, was an undiagnosed type 2 diabetic, had undiagnosed high blood pressure, was a drug addict, a fast food addict, and suffering from severe depression.
He was miserable all the time and blamed everyone and everything else for his situation in life, he was constantly self-conscious about his weight and was never comfortable in any social situation without being on drugs.. He had hit rock bottom.
After almost overdosing he finally picked up the phone and called his father for help. Two weeks later he checked into rehab.
It was here that he was put on seven prescription medications, diabetes meds, blood pressure meds, antidepressants, mood stabilisers, ADHD meds, and sleeping meds.
He took it upon myself to reverse his type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure by implementing a plant based nutrition plan into his recovery program of medication and therapy. What he didn’t realise was that plant based nutrition would become the backbone of his entire recovery.
Listen to Adam's incredible journey with this inspiring podcast episode that REALLY puts things in perspective for all of us.
This episode for me was like a breath of fresh air..
It's great when you get to talk to someone that shares the same ideas about what we eat, our view on veganism, those that aren't vegan and creating a vegan business.
This episode was so positive and refreshing , and I hope you get the same feeling when you are listening.
Taryn is responsible for many a vegan catch phrase that she has not only created but also built a very successful business around.
Not only that but she also co-founded the first woman only co-working space in L.A...
And shes only 28!
This episode is for EVERYONE, as I think every single person can learn something from our chat!
At age 39 Adam had a heart attack.
He was 110kg (240lb), depressed and unfulfilled. The heart attack was a wake up call, he realised that he needed to change and he wanted to change.
As a result he discovered a simple natural way of eating and living that helped him get off all medication, lose 30kg (66lb) and gain enough energy to do one of the toughest endurance events in the world, an Ironman Triathlon.
In this episode we talk about not only the physical changes but the mindset shift that enabled to do this.
Adam is also a plant based trained chef, and creates weekly meal plans via his app which you as a listener can get for 12 months for free. Details below!!

Robby has been a type 1 diabetic for many years; we talk about how he found what works for him and how he then co-founded a very successful business out of helping 1000's of type 1 and type 2 diabetics, and anyone with insulin resistance.
We talk about his journey, his approach to helping others and compare those to traditional and some less traditional methods of treating diabetes.
This is a great episode, with a very passionate guy. If you are diabetic or know someone that is then this is a must listen!
This one is a little different.
I talk with @bencoomber about his journey so far with Veganuary. Ben is a top guy, and a well known authority in the UK fitness and nutrition industry.
He is extremely open-minded and wanted to give veganuary a proper go this year to get a better understanding of conscious eating and living. I chat to him at the end of week 1 to see how he is finding it. The answer? Not so good.. In fact that is why he reached out so we could troubleshoot some of his feelings of emptiness and fatigue.
This conversation was done via an instagram live, I have also added my own bit at the start to set the scene and an explanation at the end to go over things that I didn't talk abut and why (as I saw a-lot of comments suggesting certain nutrients which wouldn't have been the cause)
Let me know what you think in the comments and tag anyone else who might be struggling with their veganuary (@weareveganuary) efforts
In this episode I speak to the super passionate Ryuji (from @peacebyvegan).
He is my first activist I've had on the show, and I am so glad that he decided to share his passion with me. Originally from Paris and now living in L.A, Ryuji spends most of his time doing vegan out reach to help promote the movement in a positive way.
We talk about his own story and up bringing; he has only been vegan for just over 3 years and is already making a massive impact. How he approaches what he does. I found this super refreshing and such a positive way to approach it. We also talk about how you can start by making more of a difference in a positive way.
Please have a listen as Ryuji is truly a cool dude and I think we can all learn from his approach. If you enjoy this podcast please share on your social media, and stories so we can spread the love and help others.

It's not often you find someone that is vegan, a doctor and a IFBB bikini pro, so when I found Dr Harriet Davis I jumped at the chance to get her on my podcast. I felt like it was important to hear about balance between what is healthy and what isn't when preparing for a figure competition or when training for aesthetics, especially from a vegan view point.
We speak about her reason to do what she does, and it's a powerful one. Plus what kind of things she eats, how she trains and of course how much protein she has during competition preparation. Also what it's like being a Dr. in the USA and how she approaches treating and talking to patients.
It's well worth the listen & I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it!
If you want to connect with her on instagram do so @diva1098
If you liked this episode please share, and if you have any other guests you would like featured then please let me know.
I truly believe with the right mindset you can make anything happen, but how do you create that perfect mindset for change? Whether you are a long term vegan struggling with body transformation goals, or just starting out with transitioning onto the vegan lifestyle.
Rebecca Cappelli decided to quit a successful career to work in non-profit. Now a public speaker, she delivers talks for free to help people adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
A French citizen and a mandarin speaking professional, Rebecca has lived in Asia for over 14 years including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and now Singapore. She works with various non-profit organizations with the project Let us be Heroes to empower people to become a line of defense for their health, the planet and the animals.
Not only that but has produced what looks to be a great documentary to be released shortly.
We all love our vegan treats , but where do we get them from? And how can we fit them in without "over indulging"?
We talk about this, and the parallels between starting the vegan diet and taking the leap to start your own business.
An interesting one this time. I imagine most us get alot of questions, and judgment for choosing to be vegan, so how do you deal with it without losing your cool or reenforcing the old stereotype of being a "preachy vegan'?
Aron and I discuss the best way to approach difficult conversations and how to be approach social situations in a non vegan world.
A very insightful episode that we should all listen to!
In the latest episode I talk to Co-founder of the Vevolution Festivals Damien Clarkson. Although not an 100% focus on the fit vegan body, we speak more on how to have a "fit" vegan business.
Damien is super passionate about vegan entrepreneurship and it shows during this insightful chat.
- His personal story
- How Vevolution started
- Tips he has for transitioning onto a vegan diet, including his favourite vegan spots around the world
- What he thinks the future of veganism will look like
- Tips for anyone starting a vegan business
Damien has truly got his finger on the pulse of all things vegan, this episode is well worth the listen.
In this episode I wanted to talk to Tora, one of my past clients, why? So you could relate to the journey, the struggles and get tips that might help you if going through the same thing.
Tora started off like most do, a little confused about how to drop weight on a vegan diet, we talk about the doubt before she started with me, the results and realisations she got with me over a 6 week period and of course what she wants to achieve in the future.
If you are struggling with any goal then this one is well worth the listen :)
Disclaimer: This episode will blow your mind. It makes me not only more excited to go toilet but made me want to go back to school and learn as much as I can about the Gut and its role in the human body.
Dr Will Bulsiewicz, or Dr B as he prefers has been featured in Mens Health, Huff Post, Womens Health, & Readers Digest and for good reason, he clearly is a leader in this area.
We cover, the perfect poo, what your poo says about you and of course alot more less toilet topics like the role the gut plays in obesity, mental illness and practical steps to how you can improve your own gut health and reasons why you should.
Plus have you heard about the amazing new research they are doing with fecal transplants?? This could be as life changing as blood transfusions were in the 70's.
This episode is 100% worthy of multiple listens. And for more information make sure you check him out on instagram @theguthealthmd
In this episode, Max and I discuss what practical things you can do today to reduce your personal effect on the environment. Whether that be how to compost in a major city or what kinda things to pack in your handy go-to ruck-sac.
We talk about why he decided to choose this lifestyle and the way he cooks as a vegan chef, and of course his future plans.
Max is a super down to earth guy that can help everyone be a little bit more environmentally friendly. Well worth a listen!
This week is a goodie! I was so excited to speak to Phd Candidate Frank Cusimano.
Frank has an amazing outlook on science, medicine and nutrition. He has 5 degrees including 2 masters in nutrition & metabolism. He is certified personal trainer & have researched these topics for 11 years. The information we talked about is research based.
We cover, the science of weight loss, and how that could be very different to what science says is healthy.
We also talk about, Keto, vegan keto, juice cleanses and whether or not some people just "suit eating animal products" or is it just an adaption of the body making use of what it is given, plus ALOT more!
In this episode I speak to Vanessa Almeida Head Chef and owner at Essential Vegan Cafe in Shoreditch. We talk about vegan cake, her story and what it is like to be vegan in Brazil. As well as discussing some easy tips for you to "veganise" your own kitchen. Enjoy!
In the very first episode of The Fit Vegan Body Podcast I get to introduce myself to you, tell you my story of how I went from a omnivore to vegan almost over night.
I've also included why I started The Vegan Body Coach Online Transformation company and my personal goals for the future.
I really hope you enjoy it! (I promise it will be the "least interesting" of all the ones to come, that will have special guests including health professionals, vegan business owners and vegan athletes)
