Nashville, TN — April 18, 2024. Kate Stanford, an emerging powerhouse in Christian music, is thrilled to announce the release of her latest single, "Stand on Your Promises." Produced by Sam Hart, known for his exceptional work with artists such as Big Daddy Weave, Meredith Andrews, Unspoken, and Sanctus Real, “Stand on Your Promises” is available tomorrow, April 19, on all major streaming platforms.
"Stand on Your Promises is an anthem of hope,” explains Stanford. “What originally inspired this song was my struggle with both physical and emotional pain. I have dealt with chronic migraines for the past year and could not get out of bed. This led me to be depressed and hopeless. But even in my darkest times, Jesus met me every step of the way. He answered my prayers and brought me out of the darkness. He gave me joy and hope and provided me with community here in Nashville. I want listeners to know that whatever they may be going through, it will get better. Stand on His promises and He will make a way for you.”
Following Stanford's 2023 release, "Your Heart," which was produced by two-time GRAMMY nominee Cindy Morgan, comes the latest single. Kate’s unmistakable vocals and Sam Hart's unparalleled production expertise make "Stand on Your Promises" a must-listen for fans of uplifting and inspiring music.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Stanford’s musical journey began at a young age, singing as both a classically trained singer and a contemporary artist. Since 2019, she has released a series of acclaimed singles that have quickly found an audience on radio, streaming platforms, and social media.

Episode 265 | Kim Emch - Festa - Season of Giving
Episode 265 is with Kim Emch from Festa.
- Ending poverty through life changing relationships.
- Passionate about helping children and families in poverty – many are New Americans, and many live in suburbs.
- Connect neighbors to build relationships that end poverty, in this generation!
I’m a servant of God because He rescued me.
By the time I was 17, I had lived through five divorces by my two parents: one being an alcoholic, and one having an affair. I didn’t grow up facing financial poverty, but my home was filled with chaos and pain. But God did not forget me; He rescued me. He sent people from a local church who invited me every single week to a youth program they hosted. It was full of joy and peace. It was a safe refuge. They cared about me, loved me, and taught me about the Lord. They said,
“Kim, the God of the universe made you and He loves you. You’re gifted and talented.”
“Kim, you’re smart. Have you ever thought of going to college?”
“Kim, you have leadership abilities. We could hone that for you. We can grow that in you and God could use you for his plans for His future.”
They started casting a vision for me of a future where I would use my gifts and talents to serve God.
Fast-forward to March 2007. I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to light my heart on fire in a whole new way. Eleven short days later, I learned there were 2,158 children facing poverty in my own suburban community. I had been tutoring children facing poverty in downtown Columbus for years, but I had no idea that my neighbors – children in MY town who went to school with my own children – were also facing poverty. The free or reduced school lunch program came screeching to an abrupt halt for 12 weeks every summer, and those children went hungry. I felt a call on my life to love, serve and feed them body, mind and spirit, and to bring the body of Christ alongside me.
I’d never even heard of a free summer lunch program, but I felt compelled to try. God gave me a big, loud mouth, so I used it to tell anyone who would listen to me. I talked to church communities, businesses, civic associations, and my friends and neighbors. I urged them to come together to feed these children, and we did exactly that; 178 of us served 246 children that summer with 2,376 lunches.
Before March 2007, my circle was the opposite of diverse. Everyone I knew was exactly like me; they looked, talked and dressed like me. Suddenly, I was looking into the faces of beautiful, gifted and talented children and their amazing parents who came from all walks of life. They were diverse in every sense of the word: racially, socially, economically, culturally, and religiously. I found myself compelled to love them even more.
They began sharing heart-breaking stories. One family saved up to buy a car that broke down before they even got home, and they became entwined in a legal battle. Parents struggled to get jobs and put food on the table for their families because they couldn’t speak English well enough. Children were falling behind in school because parents couldn’t help them with homework.
We kept helping and serving and living life together. God sent me to places that nothing in my previous life experience prepared me for. He guided me into homes and into hearts. I constantly said, ‘God, I’m not the right one. You’ve got to bring someone else. You have to bring more people.’ He ALWAYS brought more people. And we started creating these spaces where we gathered people to learn from each other. In the summer, it was a camp, and in the school year, an ESL Family program.
I realized that God was using me to create spaces of refuge – the same kind of spaces He created to rescue me in decades past.

Episode 259 | Timothy Mahoney - God of Heaven and Earth
Episode 259 is with Timothy Mahoney, creator of Bible Cinema Roadshow and Patterns of Evidence Films.
Timothy Mahoney is the award-winning director of six feature films: Patterns of Evidence: Mt Sinai I & II, Patterns of Evidence: The Red Sea Miracle I & II, Patterns of Evidence: The Moses Controversy, and Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus. Tim is the founder of Thinking Man Films and Media, a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based international documentary & publishing company. Tim has spent almost 20 years exploring some of the biggest questions of the Bible and what they mean for our world today. His insatiable curiosity led him on a journey across the world interviewing some of the world’s leading Bible scholars, archaeologists, and historians to seek answers. What he’s uncovered is an amazing pattern of evidence that matches the events recorded in the Bible. Tim was raised hearing that the stories in the Bible were true, but as he got older he was challenged to lose those beliefs. These questions led him on a trip to Egypt and the very location of the Exodus story. It was there that he experienced his own crisis of faith when told there was no evidence for this account. Undeterred, he had to know – were these foundational stories in the Bible true or not? This led him on a 12-year investigation resulting in the feature documentary Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus. This award-winning film and its companion book, Patterns of Evidence: A Filmmaker’s Journey challenged the traditional views of biblical criticism, demonstrating archaeological evidence that matched the Bible’s narrative. The balanced approach allowed audiences to decide for themselves if the Exodus was truth or myth. A native Minnesotan, Tim’s hobbies include folk music and outdoor activities. Tim and Jill have been married for 40 years. They have four (4) married children and eight (8) grandchildren.
GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH is a feature-length documentary coming to theaters November 5th-6th. It offers incredibly compelling evidence of what the Star of Bethlehem was and what the Magi saw that caused them to travel more than 700 miles to Israel. Additional content provides evidence for the date and circumstance of Christ’s crucifixion.
This is the first installment in Thinking Man Film’s Bible Cinema Roadshow, a year-long theatrical film series designed to bring Biblical content to your community all year long via theaters.

Episode 248 | Brad Minns - Never Give Up
Episode 248 is special on many levels. First of all, my lovely bride Heather joins me for the first time ever on an unscripted episode. There’s a reason for that. Heather works in the deaf culture. She has worked in this culture since graduating from college years ago. It is her passion, her love and her heart.
Today’s guest is a man named Brad Minns.
Brad is the subject of a book called “Never Give Up” and a film of the same name that releases in September. His story, of winning a gold medal in the deaf olympics in 1985 is incredible. But that is not all.
Our interview with Brad is incredible. Brad’s entire life is incredible. The interview is long so I encourage you to break it up into smaller segments. Press pause. Come back to it.
Brad has lived an extraordinary life. I am better today because I met Brad Minns earlier today.
I promise you will be challenged and changed.
Check out nevergiveupfilm.com and bradminns.com for this amazing new friend of ours. Please listen all the way through. Take it in segments. Hear his heart. Hear his story. Read his book and see the film.
Never give up!
Brad was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 9, 1965. At the age of three he lost his hearing when he contracted a deadly fever. Rather than send him to special schools, his parents made sure Brad knew how to read lips and had him fitted with hearing aids.
He began playing sports and found that he had an interest in tennis, which he began to participate in more and more. He went on to become one of the top junior players in his age division and received a scholarship at the University of Toledo as a walk-on. The only difference between Brad and his teammates was the fact that he could hear the cheers of the crowds who came to watch him play. After college he went on to become the USA’s number one deaf tennis player and won numerous World Deaf Championships. He also helped the USA to win its first ever Dreese Cup in 1995.
Not being content with just playing professional tennis at the World level, he began using his body building in earnest. In 1995 he won the PAS / Experimental and Applied Sciences nutritional supplement transformation contest now known as Body-For-Life and became their second national spokesperson. His bodybuilding success earned him various modeling jobs including being Nordic Flex’s cover model and appearing in their national advertising campaign.
Brad has always met his goals and is now determined to teach others how to go for their dreams. Today, he lives with his wife Ginny in Orlando, FL and works as a tennis professional and personal trainer. He speaks at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) groups where he shares his testimony of living a life for Christ.

Episode 243 | Demi Michelle Schwartz
Episode 232 is with my friend Demi Michelle Schwartz. Demi is a singer/songwriter and author. She returns to update us on all of the latest projects and things she is working on. You will love her fun spirit and fearless goals.
From her website -
Demi Michelle Schwartz is an author from Pittsburgh, PA. She’s loved reading Young
Adult Mysteries and Thrillers from a young age, and she’s inspired by the work of Sara Shepard and Karen M. McManus. Being drawn to these thrilling and twisty novels for the YA audience eventually led her to step into the shoes of an author herself.
There’s something so enchanting about these stories that pulls her in, beyond the clues,
red herrings, and dangerous twists and turns. She’s drawn in by the realism and truth that these stories are ones that could happen. There’s so much to be gleaned from the way protagonists act and react in the face of danger and how a complex puzzle can lead to justice being served or the lingering feeling of the world still being slightly off-balance. So much can be learned about the human condition from these stories, and Demi continues to explore this concept both as a reader and author of crime fiction.
Demi earned both a BA in Creative Writing and BA in Music at Seton Hill University in
Greensburg, PA. With encouragement from her undergraduate English professors, she went on to pursue her MFA in Writing Popular Fiction at Seton Hill and graduated with her degree in June of 2022. She has finished writing her debut YA Mystery novel and is currently seeking representation.
When Demi isn’t revising her second novel, a YA Psychological Thriller, she’s busy
chasing her other dream as a songwriter. Her creativity knows no bounds because along with
being a creative writer and songwriter, she’s the host of her own podcast, Write on Track: A
Songwriting Podcast. Whether Demi is writing a full-length novel or crafting her next song, she always aims to inspire and encourage others to shoot for the stars.

Episode 240 | Cristóbal Krusen - Director, Let Me Have My Son
Epsideo 240 is one of the more emotional, personal and real episodes I have ever done. Cristobal Krusen, Director of the new film "Let Me Have My Son" joins me to discuss the film and his very personal connection.
Cristóbal Krusen was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, the third of four children. Early in life, he showed a keen interest in literature, reading many of the classics while still in grade school and cherishing the ambition that one day he would become a writer. He entered Harvard University in 1971, majoring in English literature, intent on making his mark as a poet and novelist. A growing interest in photography and filmmaking, however, led him to transfer to New York University where he changed majors and graduated with a BFA in Film and Television in 1976. He later attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he received his MFA in Film in 1989.
Cristóbal founded Messenger Films in 1988 and has worked as a writer/director of film and television ever since, helming productions in more than twenty countries. He is best known for Final Solution, More Than Dreams, Undaunted, Sabina K. and most recently, Let Me Have My Son. Over the last several years, Cristóbal has also begun fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a writer. He is the author of Undaunted, They Were Christians, and Let Me Have My Son.
Working in multiple languages as a filmmaker, Cristóbal is known for a poetic visual style and the ability to draw intimate performances from actors. Above all, he is a “storyteller” who delights to engage his audience while addressing the deepest needs of the human heart.
