After a life changing accident that, cost her left foot; she has continued her mission to motivate and empower others.

Gratitude is powerful as it has the power to change and enrich lives.  What is gratitude?  Well, gratitude is acknowledgement and appreciation of what you deem important and meaningful.  Essentially, it is being thankful for the people, places, and things we have in our lives that bring us joy.  The benefits of gratitude or priceless.   There is a level of mindfulness that comes from being grateful that fosters positivity, reduces stress & anxiety, and we become happier, healthier and present!

Jena Dyches discovered her passion for hospitality while working for a catering company in the Willamette Valley Wine Country in high school.   After graduating from Washington State University with a minor in Hospitality, she returned to the Willamette Valley as a Catering Manager.  She enjoyed doing what she loved for many wonderful years planning weddings and making brides dreams come true!  

Jena then took her passion for events and catering even further, and excitedly brought her talents to the Sunriver Resort as the Senior National Sales Manager.  She is well known amongst her peers as the go-to-person for all things hospitality.  She has a unique way of making her clients feel incredibly special and valued.  When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jena’s job really changed from traveling all over the country and being a top sales producer, to really pivoting more towards strategy & marketing as the live events industry came to a scretching halt.  It was during this time that she found herself in business with Scout & Cellar as a Independent Wine Consultant.  In addition to loving her job, Jena also loves spending time in Portland with her husband and young son, kayaking, gardening, and wine tasting in the Willamette Valley.

DJ I Am Noel aka Brandon Noel, has a way of healing hearts, and souls through music.  With well over 20 years in the music industry; he is an artist, producer, and entrepreneur! 

He is known for pushing the boundaries as a DJ.  His collaborations with musicians elevates his DJing at events and turns them in to memorable experiences.  

DJ I Am Noel recently gained global notoriety when he brought music to the San Diego Gaslamp, high atop a balcony in the heart of the community. He decided to pay homage to healthcare & frontline workers by playing a 45-minute set bringing the healing power of music to the forefront.  This act would not only draw people out to their patios, balconies, and their cars just to listen and be connected (socially distanced of course).  

His light was felt far and wide and the draw to this community would bring a couple thousand people out to hear the music, dance, sing, and change the mood of the looming pandemic.  This man took a leap of faith during a pandemic, racial, and political unrest and decided he would be a mood changer and boy did it work!  

He brought joy to so many and received accolades from the san Diego Police Department, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, and various international news outlets including BBC World News!

Amanda White,  is a Corporate Sales Executive with the BMW Performance Center West.  Amanda, has been in the Corporate Sales & Event Industry for just about 6 years but has a long-standing career in sales for 15+ years! 

Her passion for the automotive industry and cars steered her to her first position at a dealership as an assistant to the sales and customer service manager. 

From there her passion for creating an amazing experience for customers grew.  This passion eventually led her to her current role as Corporate Sales Manager at the BMW Performance Center West.

Jordan Black is a former writer for Saturday Night Live and The Last OG.  He currently writes for the Last Man Standing and the reboot of the 80's sitcom Punky Brewster.  As an actor he has appeared on a myriad of different shows like The Mindy Project, 2 Broke Girls, Key & Peele to name a few!  

He has a recurring role on Community as Dean Spreck.  As a voice actor his body of work is expansive, most notably was his work on South Park and American Dad.  He is an alum of The Groundlings,  which is the home of one of the leading improv training programs in the country.  Here is where he founded the long running improv show The Black Version!

"If I'm going to talk about all of the experiences...grief has a seat at this table of experiences."  For this episode I reached out to my cousin/sister, Jeannie Rudley, to discuss the "Grief Experience".  Jeannie, wears many hats like most of the women in our family.  She is a Psych Nurse, Church Secretary, Volunteer, Peer Counselor, and Sister, just to name a few of the hats she wears on a daily basis.  On April 13, 2020 her world changed dramatically with the loss of her mother.  She was her mother's caretaker and served as her medical advocated during her long battle with breast cancer.  

Jeannie, shares her intimate grief experience in a candid conversation with me.  Jeannie and I have taken many journeys together and grief has certainly been one of the hardest to date.
