After yet another hiatus of exactly 430 days, Another Bloody Movie Podcast makes yet another less than triumphant return to the airwaves of the internet with our 6th or 7th attempt to make this thing we do into a proper podcast. To celebrate the occasion, Sean is joined from Sydney via Zoom by film critic Harris Dang to discuss the two major releases of the Easter Weekend, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Air, as well as a brief wrap on the films they saw at this years Alliance Française French Film Festival, including the latest from absurdist auteur Quentin Dupieux, Smoking Causes Coughing.

ABMP returns for the first time in 2022 to preview a brand new exciting film festival coming to Melbourne and Sydney this February. The Europa! Europa film festival screens at the Classic, Lido and Ritz cinemas in Melbourne and Sydney from Feb 4-27, bringing the best of European cinema to the land down under and we were delighted to have the festival's artistic director, Thomas Caldwell on the show to talk all about this great new festival he has put together.

ABMP is back for Christmas and Blake Ison returns to the pod to spread some Christmas cheer by talking about some of the big Boxing Day releases. Join Sean and Blake as they review The Matrix Resurrections, Licorice Pizza, West Side Story, The Tragedy of Macbeth and The Worst Person in the World. Blake also talks briefly about Ghostbusters Afterlife and there might just be mild rant on the death of cinema etiquette.

Melbourne is out of Lockdown, the movies are back and ABMP has returned from yet another extended hiatus with a brand new episode. Friend of the show and fellow 007 enthusiast, Matt Corigliano returns to the pod to talk all about Daniel Craig's epic final outing as James Bond, No Time To Die, completely spoiler free.

In our 50th episode of ABMP, we were thrilled to be joined the director of the Sydney Film Festival, Nashen Moodley to discuss the return of SFF to cinema screens across the harbour city this year from August 18-29. Nashen talks about how his role changed in the midst of the pandemic, the process of bringing the festival back to the cinema after a virtual festival and also highlights some films in the first wave of the program he does not want audiences to miss.
