Today we met with Bishop Ruben Saenez, the Bishop of the Great Plains Conference. It was so fun to talk to Bishop Saenez about his call to ministry, what the process of being elected to the episcopacy was like, and his thoughts on how young adults can make the church better. We were so grateful to be able to talk to the Bishop this week and learn more about him.

Thank you again for listening to the Act.Love.Walk. Podcast! Today we are joined by Rev. Lora Andrews. She is the pastor at St. Pauls UMC in Lenxa Kansas and also helps out with UMCNext in the Great Plains Confrence. We got to talk about what she is working on in her church regarding inclusion, and how she stays involved with her community outside the walls of the church. We are so glad Lora got to join us and that we got to learn more about how she has been working for justice in the local church.

Thank you for listening to our 4th Episode of Act.Love.Walk. We are almost done with our summer, but we are excited to bring you guys 3 more episodes after this week. We are so blessed to be joined today by one of our Co-Coordinators, Maddi Baugous. It has been so fun getting to work with Maddi this summer and learn more about her. Did you know that Maddi has been a Micah Corps intern and a Co-Coordinator? How Cool! She also just graduated from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with her Masters in Divinity! (Also very very cool!) Today we will talk about both of these things with Maddi, as well as some of her favorite things about Micah Corps and what else she is involved in with our church. We hope you enjoy this super fun episode!

Today we get the privilege of speaking with Rev. Carol Windrum. Before we became the Great Plains Conference, Carol worked with the Peace and Justice team in the Nebraska Conference. While working with them she created a Peace with Justice Internship for young adults in the Nebraska conference, that later became the Micah Corps Internship. Carol now works with the Great Plains Creation Care team, and is helping teach others about how we can do better for the planet. She also reminds us that we are all on the journey and we are all learning. We want to thank Carol for being a great teacher for us, about how we can do better for the earth.

Today we are interviewing the wonderful Rev. Dr. Kalaba Chali! (Mentioned in Ep. 1) Chali is the Mercy and Justice Coordinator for the Great Plains United Methodist Conference. He works all over Kansas and Nebraska to help resource our churches with material so they can teach about Mercy and Justice and also do Mercy and Justice projects in their communities. Join us as we learn more about Chali and to hear him drop some major truth bombs about Justice and our world today!
