As the trial begins, Villa Americana unveils a new creation.

Will, Dr. Ballard and Jess embark on a journey to a small town to track down the long-lost co-founder of Villa Americana.

Hoping to get away from Windler U and Villa Americana, Will spends a weekend with Norah at Prescott College, but soon he is forced to consider what his future at Windler holds.

Ballard, David and Holloway invite Will, Olivia and Norah to meet other participants in the experiment, bringing up some old troubles for Will.

Will's attempts to have an important conversation with Dr. Ballard are hampered when a mysterious low-frequency sound causes several visiting parents to turn into ravenous zombies.

As a holiday celebrating one of the school's founders approaches, Jess goes head to head with Dr. Collins over some upsetting truths about the man's past. 

The Windler U biology department invents a machine to accelerate evolution in living creatures, turning a goldfish into a human being. Will attempts to help him adjust to life on the surface. Meanwhile, Dr. Ballard attempts to track down a new monster. 

Alone and left with a shattering self-truth, Will contemplates returning to his old life as a lake monster.

After a major discovery about his past sends Will into a depressive state, Sidney the library ghost attempts to cheer him up.

When Noah and Will both take an acting class, Will is forced to learn a hard lesson about his own insecurities when confronted by the vindictive professor.

Will arrives in Austin for the Villa Americana shareholders' meeting and quickly meets David and Olivia, two other young people who have gone through the experiment. However, as the night takes a series of twists and turns, Will begins to learn the ugly truth about Villa Americana - and himself.
