The speakers is Mikołaj Rakusa-Suszczewski, PhD, an Associate Professor at Centre for Europe, University of Warsaw. Sociologist and political philosopher; graduate of the Institute of Sociology at University of Warsaw and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.

The speaker is Jan Borkowski, PhD, Polish scholar with nearly 30-years’ experience in public administration, politics and diplomacy, and an expert in economics, european integration and international relations. In 1993 he was elected to the Sejm (Polish Parliament), where he was Chair of the Europe Agreement Committee and Co-Chair of the Poland-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee. Appointed Under-Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1996-1997. He returned to the same Ministry in 2007 as Secretary of State for almost five years, before being nominated as ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 2012.
