There are genocides in the world happening and of course, one has to be on Oprah, speaking of how unfair her life is. WAIT.. racism & bullying are not at all okay, but can't you be more privileged? How many beings have dies due to the injustice of racism or bullying? What are your plans to lessen the injustice for yourself and every one after telling your story? Call to action?

Also, in one of the questionnaires I have in my IG, I talked about heartaches. And one of the inputs were "Having a Toxic Mum", which is heartbreaking. Talked about it with a friend and here I am, unpacking it from my own experience. But, isn't it a bit unfair to blame it on only Mothers?

At the end of the day, it hurts and we have to do something about it (case to case), but when either one of the party passes away, none of the arguments or material things is gonna matter. Our lesson & challenge here is: Forgiveness.

I remember crying myself to sleep because of the itch that Eczema brought me when I was younger. But, thank god, with YEARS of researching and split tests, I have it under control now.

This one's for the beings suffering in friendships, relationships, marriage, jobs or any kind of "ships". I gotchu. Here's my proposition on why people should walk away more, IF there is no love. The universe really has better plans for you. 

You plan, but you also have to deal with it as it comes. That way you won't have a heart attack. 

There is a reason why former addicts go to rehab. To get BETTER. Surround yourself with better people.

Singaporean social artist duo Hunny & Lummy, presents its multidisciplinary exhibition, ThisConnect: Threading Worlds, which aims to encourage masses to experience and converse their truths. The exhibition was first launched, in conjunction with Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September 2020.

In Part 1, we unpack the different elements that lead to mental distress in Singapore, especially with Covid, internally and externally. 

I personally have been to the full exhibition at 1 Neil Road. The raw and honest documentations and audio-video artworks have touched, moved, and created greater awareness for people to re-examine fundamentally what it means to be a human being; from various dimensions of human connections and relationships, from oneself to other(s) to our natural world encapsulated via their participatory-instructional art coupled with conscious conversations, that shines through. 

One of the works, I Feel You portrays 2 complete strangers, holding hands, face to face, being vulnerable and connecting by sharing stories of their personal truths where pain, loss, angst, existential questions towards life emerges in a 20-minute conversation amongst pairs. While one speaks, the listening party holds the safe space and only replies with, “I Feel You”.

I miss live music. I miss concerts. Come, let's sing our hearts out.

In Singapore, it is common that you live with your immediate family until you get married and can buy a house. But not many people can bear or want to do the heavy lifting of living with aging parents when their senses are deteriorating as we speak. It is not easy, trust me. You argue over the slightest things. You barely sleep because you are worried that they might fall or die in their sleep. 

But, I also realize it is not the time to pick our wounds over what they did and what they didn't. It is a privilege if we did that.  

One advice: They only have so much time and despite the silly times that they might have put us through, look at their great sacrifices as well. Fear of regretting is forever.  Also, parents listening, be easy on your kids. They're still trying to figure it out as much as you are (yes, Mama & Papa). But, I'm sure they love you with all their hearts. 

Sometimes, you just want to look at pretty things just as it is. James Marsden & Monica Bellucci is at the top of my list.

Did you get to go to Baybeats 2020 this year? I'm not a Baybeat go-er but, I'd have to say, it looks interesting this year. Still prefer crowded live music festival.

And the only reason why I brought up ScottyLum is because, it's just interesting to watch how people actually get heated discussing different faiths. When are people gonna realize that, none is wrong, it is just to learn, right? No validation needed. We should learn from each other. But also, I think there is no moderator.

One of the reasons why, sometimes I get exhausted of taking care and understanding people. Hence, now, just at the smell of suspicion, I walk away. 

It took me 3 years to get back up on my feet, to be mentally healthy again, after this incident, after the first breakup and after a second different toxic breakup.  

I hope to share this hardship of mine of becoming a 3rd owner of my house, partially reluctant because it is someone's else baggage, might be of takeaway for you. You can try to hate a person for their mistakes, but you can't, so the pain stays. 

This was also the cause of my first panic attack. Really thought I was going to die.

Even as adults, how is it possible that our emotional baggage are derived from things our parents has said to us, from years ago? Does that justify that forgiveness is easier said than done? That we're all actually kids just achieving because all we ever wanted was our parents validation?

For the young ones listening, if you have a dream and you have your own means, go for your dreams. Never penalize your parents, still love them,  but, don't fret if they don't acknowledge what you want to do. 

Ultimately, the sweet taste of success is yours and with that, comes great responsibility for you to push make it happen.
