In the 2021 season opener, Sam is joined by a familiar voice to get the podcast rocking in the pandemic. The inauguration got us all in the feels with Kamala and Joe taking over from the Donald; mukulike Trump. They get into the parallels of the power struggles in the USA and Uganda, Bobi Wine, and struggle of being politically aligned.

AFAF SPECIAL SERIES: BEING A WOMAN - Toxic Relationships
In the season finale, we decided to close out with a topic very close to almost everyone. We discussed toxic relationships; the warning signs, how to avoid them and what to do once you see it. It is something that as young women we have all faced and would like to pass on some of our experiences - and confessions on how we were also toxic sometimes - so we dont repeat the same mistakes.
WE ARE ALL BLACK
This episode is the 3rd part of the series about race and the Black Lives Matter movement. The girls are joined by Jasmin, a good friend and someone who can jump in the conversation for her candid review from an African American's point of view on the matter. They go into the value of education and trying to see things from another's point of view before judging. This resulted in a well rounded conversation. that may need a part 2! RAISING THE 2ND GENERATION
This week the girls are joined by Lambo to continue discussing the racial strife going on right now! There is a need to make sure that we are raising our black children to understand what is going on around them, how to stay safe and respond to prejudice that may come their way. It is a heavy conversation that is necessary so we can learn from each other and pass this knowledge onto our children.
AMERICA, WE NEED TO TALK!
In this week's episode the girls are joined by the producer, Richo and delve into the black lives matter movement and dissect the protests and try to help get an understanding of what is happening today. Do not be afraid to speak out and ask for clarification on issues you may not understand because although this is a difficult issue to wrap our heads around especially for us diaspora Africans, it no time to be silent!

This week the girls rant on about the misgivings from the lockup both in the US and in Uganda. They give an update on what they are up to during this quarantine period and what shows they are watching on Netflix. Ladies, this week we are joined by a special guest to discuss the sensitive topic of emotional affairs. How do they start and how do you stem it? Emotional relationships can be a silent killer of relationships and we go into the deep end of things to discuss how draining it can be and what to do when it appears in your life. In this episode, we are joined by Richo, (PME producer) to discuss the week's highlights on the Gayle King issue and responsibility to the cause, Bad Black bringing the side chics out of the hodulop, Mya getting married in Africa and the general madness that goes into introductions in UG...again! We went off script and went deep into escaping from school to go to day parties, Ange Noir, Shadows Angels and Kimansulo days as well! This was a fun episode. This week we had to record on our girl, Sophie's birthday! We get hype with our friends in the studio then get frustrated with DeAndre Arnold's story and the CROWN act. We compare hair issues in schools back home in Uganda and get a good laugh at how things have changed. We delve into the Nikki Minaj and Meek beef, we create a marketing campaign for Erykah Badu's umm scent/perfume and also Gayle King - cue eye roll. This week, the girls bring a discussion on gender roles. In 2020, how is a modern women to understand her role in the home, at work and just life in general. The girls delve into the practice of kneeling for your spouse, being a stay at home parent, kitchen politics and of course taking care of kids. In 2020 and also living in the diaspora, how do you reconcile cultural/religious norms that do not mesh well with the feminist movement and the change in the way women perceive themselves today. About to start recording, we got the tragic news about Kobe and his daughter's untimely death. Such a loss to the sporting world and everyone who was touched them. We have a moment of silence to say a quick prayer before we get into the podcast.
