Afrofone Podcast #2 — Selected Poetry from Surumani Manzi
In this episode, Surumani Manzi — one of our curators — shares some poems from his draft anthology manuscript.
And, as an admittedly greater poet than he once said, 'A pinch of verse tinges dark days with dawn's hue ...'
Enjoy!
Afrofone Podcast #1 — Agaba Archibald
In this inaugural episode, Surumani Manzi hosts Agaba Archibald. Archibald is a Ugandan entrepreneur and thinker, whose wide-ranging views on African history, economics, politics and many interspersed topics leave whoever interacts with him enlightened, if only a step shy of provoked. They speak about the former's intellectual journey, his life-long pursuit of ideas and his take on several issues Afrocentric. We apologize sincerely for the audio quality, and commit to remedying this in the future.
Afrofone Podcast #0 — Pilot Episode
This pilot, quite spontaneous and unrehearsed, was recorded in the final hours of December 2019; in the Eastern Uganda town of Jinja — where an unlikely quintet of friends had descended on the source of the Nile River to reflect on life, and unwind from the rigors of a long year.
In the conversation are the voices of Namuddu Mubeezi, Njeri Christine, Nicholas Snowden, Nephat Maritim and Surumani Manzi.
