Join the Gordons as we talk about the Top 5 heading to Italy (thank you American Airlines) truffle hunting when one of them should have been functional vertebrae hunting, then serving some hungry Italian villagers, then in the next episode hitting a friendly 300+ year old meat cave and showing everyone that the women in this show are forces to be reckoned with, then we’ll get to the MAIN DISH - the riveting and tasty finale of an even tastier All Star Season. Episode 9 is essentially a deep dive into Uncle Naseem's secret life. We see him in a completely different light --isolated, lonely, and torn with his identity. We find out that he has been intimate with multiple men-- both in his past and in his present, and the internal struggle and frustration this causes him. Episode 10, the final episode of the season, revolves around Ramy and his imminent marriage. Things get dicey when his cousin he had a complicated relationship with comes to visit from Egypt. Ramy's feelings for her resurface and he cheats on his soon to be wife the night before their wedding. When he confesses this to his wife on their wedding night after she loses her virginity to him, things take an interesting turn the next morning. Her father, the sheikh, visits. The trust and relationship have been entirely severed. Ramy has hit rock bottom. Will he ever find his way? Hopefully, we will get another season so our questions will be answered.

Episode 10 of Top Chef All Stars takes us to the faraway, exotic lands of Japan - by way of the LA Coliseum. After a quickfire that’s a sweet trip for some, and gives others a toothache - our Cheftestants face one of their most grueling challenges yet: cooking tiny portions for giant athletes. Kidding kidding - the athletes are regular sized - the portions are still tiny. But as we find out - creating a perfect, precise 6 course traditional Japanese meal isn’t for the faint of heart…even with a powerlifter on board.

Join married hosts Anne and Dave Gordon and buckle up for an episode that causes one judge to pick something out of their teeth while saying "WHAT THE SHELL?” and sends one Chef home for DUCKING IT UP.

Episode 9 of Top Chef All Stars has a very special guest star this week - ME! And 199 of my closest friends - who are amazing women first and foremost, and also moms. We gathered in the mountains outside LA for a little R + TC - yes, recreation and Top Chef. And the Cheftestants did NOT disappoint….well except for that dry biscuit. And the weird boring salad. And the rubbery shrimp. But hey, when all you have to cook with are the ingredients of the camp’s pantry, you make due - or you make heavenly carrot salad. But more about that later.

So gather round the campfire, kids, and hear Malarky tell a tale about chefs who steal each other’s service stations as Padma ominously warns them to not “Break a thumb” while they go throw axes.

Episode 8 of Top Chef All Stars IS THE MAIN EVENT, PEOPLE. The blood, sweat and tears most chefs spend years shedding to open their dream restaurant is condensed into three admittedly still sweaty days  for our Top 8 Cheftestants, all striving towards the main badge of honor this competition hands out: the ability to say you SURVIVED Restaurant Wars. Better yet, THRIVED. Well, thanks to some shrewd, calculating moves on the winner’s part and some martyr-like Braveheart moves on the losing side, we got our Haitian-flavored victory. But did a good chef fall on his paring knife all in the name of honor? And just how bloody did this chicken-filled battle get?

To quote the great philosopher Rhianna = this is what you came for.

Episode 7 of Top Chef All Stars was like the warm up sequence in Rocky - the moment before the big fight - our cheftestants are prepping for the culinary battle of Restaurant Wars in every sense of the word, pitching their dream restaurant and making their concept representation dishes, trying to give the judges a taste of both their food and their visions.

Much like a classical symphony, this episode had highs and lows, drama and intrigue, and most of all - the paired up Chefestants working in (mostly) perfect harmony to produce dishes that would stun the palates of not only the Judges, but the LA Philharmonic musicians. Who made sweet sweet music together and whose bickering made their dish fall…flat?

Episode 5 brought us not only the 11 remaining Cheftestants, but also their nearest and dearest. This episode was Family Feud meets the Apprentice. Which means, much like Quarantine, everyone got on everyone else’s nerves and the family “challenges” were plentiful. Our Cheftestants were also challenged to show off their R+D and marketing skills! When tasked with creating a food “product” and slinging it at the local mall, some Chefs sold out and some chefs had to hold a 50% off Friends and Family sale. And then dump the leftovers at Nordstrom Rack.

Buckle up - and if you’re Leann’s mom - please sit down and drink some water. You’re stressing me out.

Things are HEATING UP in Top Chef All Stars with our (non-bakers) Dozen - that’s right, 12 cheftestants are left to chop and sauté their hearts out in this tasty competition.

After a colorful quickfire featuring a human rainbow named Kelly Clarkson, the chefs do what all bougie Angelenos do on a Sunday morning (OURSELVES INCLUDED) and hit the Santa Monica Farmers Market. Their tasked with rustling up a vegetarian feast for some discerning normies - oh and our beloved Head Judges. Tom and his Whitewalker eyes are DISPLEASED with some chefs' choices, while Padma has an issue with the purple gnocci.

Who will butternut the judges up to ensure victory and who will never go on a trip to Belgium because she now hates Brussels (Sprouts) forever?! WATCH AND LETS FIND OUT!

It's Ep 2 of Top Chef All Stars and the Cheftestants are getting a taste of Los Angeles as they tour Pulitzer Prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold's favorite spots - both flashy and food truck-y.
