Carol deals wih infidelity and trust issues in her relationship with Mitch. Justin and Kat are still not getting along but win first place in their competion. Serena falls in her long form performance then tells Carol that she has been sleeping with Doctor Parker. Justin is still dealing with the judgment of his relationship with Kat from his father. Mandy confuesses her long kept secret to James and he leaves her at the hospital. Dasha struggles with wanted to go see her long time love as she doesn't want to disrupt her life.

Ep. 9 #1 Mom -Serena tells Kat s huge secret that Carol has been keeping from her. Justins deals with a broken relationship with his father as he gets kicked out of the hotel and a broken heart. Serena gets involved in a physical relationship with an older man Jenn get gets surgery on her hip and gets asked out by her doctor. Kat deals with this emotional secret as she is trying to balance her break up with Justin and readjusting to her medicine. Marcus feels hopeless as he is unsure what he is going to do as a career as he got kicked off of the ski team.

Kat finally spins out of control from not being on her medicine and throws a huge party in Justin's room, which completely gets out of control as the police are called and Justin and Marcus go to jail. All while Mandy goes into pre-term labor at work and only has Carol by her side as James is flighting back from a business trip. Marcus has flash-backs from his past about his parents. As news breaks that Serena's dad is moving to Colorado for a job, Serena is left feeling alone and left to find ways to deal with her feelings on her own.

Dasha opens up about her past and faces a serious health scare. Marcus's mom comes to visit and he is forced to face his decision. Reggie presents Serena with a life-altering proposal. Kat is off her meds and shows a different side. Marcus must choose between Kat and his new love interest, Alana. Jenn ends her friendship wit Kat and pushes herself past her limits.

Justin and Kat have a very successful practice that gives them a confidence boost. Carol gets denied a loan from the bank which drives her to contact Mandy about selling her house. Serena hurts her wrist and Mitch helps her cover up how she was injured.

Kat and Marcus's relationship shifts when she can't make their date. Carol empties Kat's bank account which leads to Serena exposing Carol's bi-polar disorder to Mitch. Marcus is accused of stealing from what turns out to be a teammates mother. Justin learns his step-mother Mandy is pregnant which drives him into Jen's arms. Jen sells Kat's pills for money so Kat can pay for her car troubles. Justin is put in his place by his father after he was found behind the wheel after a night of drinking. Carol checks herself into a mental heath facility.

A love triangle begins between Marcus, Justin and Kat show a power struggle for her attention. Jenn and Kat sneak into Mitch's camper in an attempt to dig up dirt on him and the back story on Justin's mom comes to suffice.

In this episode of Spinning Out, Kat's home life and skate life drastically shift as she has to decide what her next steps are in her career. We get a glimpse of the ups and downs of Carol's emotional and mental state from pancakes to scratching Kat's face out of photos and a major confrontation with Kat. Kat's skating career is on track as she finallly convinces Justin and his family to take her on as his partner. Kat now has a place to live as Dasha shelters her and begins to coach them. The first lesson is very telling since it reveals the history between Justin and Kat and the unresolved emotions with that.

In this episode Kat's past injury on the ice comes back to haunt her as she fails her senior test and deciedes to quit ice skating all together. We watch as Kat's mother struggles with Bi-Polar Depression and the effects it has on her younger sister Serena. Kat's boyfriend Dave asks her to move to London with him. She agrees after a fight with her mother which drives her to pack her bags and move out of the house. Justin and his family try to convince Kat to step in as his new partner but she refuses. Kat throws her skates out the car window as she drives throwing away any last hopes of skating again until she turns around, picks her skates up, and smiles as she drives back into town.
