The Eddy After Show Podcast

The season finale of “The Eddy” definitely delivered! Answering most of our pressing questions, it still left it up to us to use our imagination when it comes to the fate of the beloved Jazz club, “The Eddy.”

We first see Julie and Elliot picking up Julie’s mom, Allison, and her step father from the airport. The four go to a nearby cafe for lunch where Allison expresses her concern for Julie and begs her to move back home to New York. We finally see Elliot take control as he tells Allison she will not be leaving; he also explains how much he loves and cherishes Julie. We see a side of him that we have not yet seen.

Back at the club, Sim is preparing the bar until disaster strikes and a group of men come in and attack him. This worries Elliot and the band as it is a sign that everything with the gang and Sami is not over.

The band decides to perform that night, despite the earlier attack. We see Elliot finally take the stage but he struggles to play. Julie ultimately saves the day by joining her father. The two perform a beautiful duet and it was quite an emotional moment — and by far my favorite moment from the entire series.

As soon as Julie and Elliot finish their performance, the magical moment quickly fades as a bomb goes off. A fire erupts and glass shatters everywhere. No one was harmed, but “The Eddy”.

Following the devastation, Elliot wants justice and decides it’s time to finally work with the cops. He and the detective come up with a plan to land Sami behind bars.

In the final scene, we see a light of hope. The band comes together at a cafe where they decide to do what they do best: play. They take to the starry streets of Paris, performing the song “The Eddy”. We see Elliot smile, and we know that all will be ok, as long as they have each other and their music.

Episode 7 finally gave us some answers. And it seems Katarina had them this whole time... First, Kat goes to see Maja and tells her to tell Elliot to beware of Sami. We now know that Kat is, in fact, deeply involved with the gang and it is not an ideal situation.

Next, the police investigator shows up at Kat’s apartment to ask her what she knows about Zivko’s death. Once the officer leaves, the moment we have all been waiting for happens! Kat reveals that she has the money and has been hiding it under her bed.

Kat goes to Sami’s ~office~ and shows him a wad of cash and asks him to leave Elliot alone. It did not go well and Sami and his guards begin to beat her up, which lands her in a hospital bed with stitches.

Finally, Elliot goes to see Kat in the hospital and she tells him the truth about the money and her and Farid’s involvement with the gang. She claims it was all to protect the club. Elliot quickly forgives her and even invites her to come back to the band. The episode ends with Kat playing the drums for her fellow band members as they celebrate her return.

Julie and Sim go on an adventure together and she discovers a new element about him. Sim reveals that he needs to get enough money in order to pay for his grandma's trip to Mecca, but things don't go as planned when it comes to retrieving the money. Plus, Elliot still cannot find the money Farid left behind. Not to mention, Elliot gets a surprise visit at the club that left viewers with their mouths to the floor.

In this episode, we finally get to see the story behind the lead singer Maja. After dealing with the craziness at The Eddy, she is offered the opportunity to tour Europe as a backup singer. Although it would allow her to get away from her problems in Paris, Maja is hesitant to take the position. A surprise visit from her mother and a not so pleasant conversation with Elliot, influences her decision. With her bags packed and ticket in hand, Maja finds that Paris is where she belongs after all. Things at The Eddy don't have the same happy ending as it is revealed that a member of the band might have had something to do with Farid's death. The hosts discuss this and give predictions on this episode of Afterbuzz TV's The Eddy Aftershow.

Farid finally has his funeral and it's a celebration of his life more so than a gathering of sadness. Elliot runs into a man who he feels killed his friend, but he denies it and instead gives him a picture of someone to place the blame on. The big question is will Elliot use the picture or try to find the killer himself?

She not only decides to skip school but she also runs away in the middle of the night in search of drugs.

Given Julie's rebellious behavior, we finally see Elliot's paternal instincts kick in. He sends the band out in the middle of the night to search for his missing daughter, while he decides to take it a step further by going to the police station.

Elliot hopes that by going to the authorities the cops will have more of an incentive to go search for Julie. But instead, he may have created a trap for himself, which will only further complicate the plot in the coming episodes.
