Avi's First Podcast

State The Avious kicked off 2021 with prayers and proverbs in the new “Liberating Gospel” series. “Inseparable Love” is the sixteenth episode in the season and the fourth installment in this Liberating Gospel experience.

“Inseparable Love” discusses the nature of GOD, which is Love, and how that Love was formed, birthed, designed, and created within all of creation. Avi Grace approaches this proverb moment with clarity of 1 John 4:8 “GOD is Love” and Gensis 1 “Let us make man in our image”. She argues that because creation (specifically humanity) has been fashioned in the image of GOD, we have Love in our D.N.A. (that is our “Divine Nature Applied”).

“Basic Holiness” is the third episode in the Liberating Gospel series. This episode examines Galatians 5:23 and Genesis 1 and the idea of,  “the goodness within all creation.” Avi Grace breaks down the misinformation that creation is sinful, vile, and putrid and shows the listeners from the Galatian Letter from Paul and the Genesis writer’s account how there was and still is a “common holiness” at work within all of humanity and all of creation.

For State The Avious’ Kwanzaa 2020 Imani finale celebration Avi Grace welcomes a poet who simply goes by “Kenji” and Goddess Angela Carter to the State the Avious microphone. The celebration begins with Kenji offering a soulful poem called, “Letter to Imani”. In the piece the poet reflects on the joys and sorrows of their 2020 experience and the wisdom they have garnered along the way.

The episode continues with a conversation between Avi Grace and Goddess Angela Carter. This is Goddess Angela’s first year celebrating Kwanzaa, and she reflects on the festivities so far and what this experience has given her. Goddess Angela went on to reflect on the blessings and strength she has received throughout this year and her focus for the future.

The Poet Kenji is currently based in Arizona, and is an accomplished writer and poetic speaker.

Goddess Angela Carter (She/Her) is a wife, mother, grandmother, minister, community organizer, author, entrepreneur, and clothing designer. She is the Founding Director of non-profit that works for the benefit of Lupus patients. She was also recently ordained in the City Church of Charlotte and in October 2020, Goddess married the love her life Naji.
