Live Love Lent

Christ is RISEN! Alleluia! We finally made it through the Lenten season and now we can enjoy the fullness of life which the Easter season brings. In this final episode, join Elisha alongside two special guests - Fr Peter Fitzsimons (Priest of Opus Dei) and Faith, as they contemplate on the promise Jesus made: "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20). As we enter into the Easter Octave, let us ponder on the goodness of our God and our duty to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit which is made manifest through our vocation.

Let's meditate on the night it all began: the night at the Garden of Gethsemane. It is in Gethsemane, that Jesus redeems us from the sins Adam committed in Eden. Jesus is the New Adam. Unlike the first Adam, Jesus abandons His own Will, and obeys that of God. Join Elisha and guest, Mimi Lee as they discuss what it means to 'abandon' and 'obey'.

If we knew how much Our Father loved us, then we would never sin again...We all know that's near impossible, but it doesn't hurt to learn about the greatness of His love. Join Josh (IG: @joshuapaulviola) and Elisha for the third (and final) time to learn about the importance of the virtue of Charity. Charity isn't just love for our neighbour, it also implores us to love our own enemies. This duty seems impossible to fulfil, which is why Jesus instructs us to meditate on His death on the Cross - the greatest act of Charity of all time. Acts of Charity, big or small, are vital to our growth in virtue, and key to our inheritance of Heaven.

In part two of this Theological Virtues mini-series, Joshua Viola (IG: @joshuapaulviola) and Elisha talk about what it means to have HOPE. Christians are granted Hope in attaining Heaven, but God takes Catholics to an entire new level of Hope through the SACRAMENTS. Despite our the gravity of man's sin, God still opens up the doorway to Heaven through Confession, Adoration, the Rosary and The Eucharist. Where His Mercy is present, so is HOPE. That awkward moment when someone tells you to "just have Faith". Well, it's kind of true! Having Faith isn't just simply "believing" in God, it's about having total confidence in Him that consequently allows us to self-surrender. Faith is believing, despite logic and our human reason. In the words of St Thomas Aquinas: "To one with Faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without Faith, no explanation is possible". God is calling us all to trust and believe in His Providence with infallible faith - but how many of us are actually ready and willing? There would be no Easter Sunday without Good Friday. In this week's episode, join Elisha and a very special guest, Fr Aurelio Fragapane, as they explore the hidden treasure present in our suffering. Through all our trials and setbacks, we recognise that God allows these things to happen for our own salvation. Through suffering we become purified, united to Jesus and ultimately worthy of His Kingdom.
