Special Announcement - Storyphoria and the end of an era // AICS 210
This was a difficult episode for me to record, one that signals one door closing yet finds another opening just as quickly. Much like finishing a great book, one that was long and all over the place with wild storylines and characters but was so much fun to read, there is a feeling of sadness that you have to say goodbye to that story and those characters for now. While that love for that book never truly leaves you, there is however, always room for another great book there on the shelf.
I hope all of you know how much I appreciate all the hours you have given me each and every week for the last few years, the 200+ episodes, the adventures, the experiments, the successes and failures. Your support means more than words can say.
Which is why I hope you'll understand why I'm making this decision and why I hope that at least some of you will join me on the next chapter of my podcasting adventures.
What, you didn't think I was quitting podcasting all together now, did you?
My new project is called 'Storyphoria' and it's a focus on books and movies, exploring the vast world of stories I'm journeying through on my quest to chase the high of that feeling of euphoria you get after enjoying a great story... hence, Storyphoria.
You can find Storyphoria where-ever you get your podcasts or via this link:
https://anchor.fm/storyphoria
Thank you all once again and I hope to see you all over on Storyphoria soon!
All the best,
~Dave
Mystery Minnesota Super Cut // AICS 209
If you aren't familiar with it, over 2020 I created, wrote, narrated, and produced an original fiction podcast series here on the AIC Stories podcast called "Mystery Minnesota". It spanned 3 seasons and over 10 hours of content and it was a blast to create and share with you all.
However, as AIC Stories has marched on, a few people have asked me about putting together a "Super Cut" episode in which I take ALL THREE SEASONS of Mystery Minnesota and combine them into one long episode to make it easier to binge.
So, while AIC Stories is enjoying a brief summer vacation, I went to work editing, cutting out intro's/outros/shameless self promotion... everything that WASN'T the story itself.
And now, I gift to you - The Mystery Minnesota Super Cut featuring all three seasons of my original fiction podcast experiment.
Enjoy!

This New York Times bestselling book tackles the topic of regrets and the question of what would happen if we had a chance to actually see how different our lives would be had we made different choices. But will the novel live up to expectations or will it feel like a wolf in sheep's clothing, falling flat for the AIC Stories Story Club participants?
I'm joined in this Story Club conversation by fellow story lovers Christy, Anna, Jacob, Justin, and Dean as we discuss the bestselling novel from Matt Haig, The Midnight Library.
