Let's Talk About Andropause (Low T) in Men.

Let's Talk About Andropause (Low T) in Men.

The definition of andropause:  a gradual and highly variable decline in the production of androgenic hormones and especially testosterone in the human male together with its associated effects that is held to occur during and after middle age.

What senior men need to know about andropause.  The older you get, the more your body undergoes changes.  The changes men go through with andropause, or "low T" - an issue experienced by a number of senior men doesn't get talked about as much a menopause in women.

Treatment and Prevention

Replacing testosterone in the blood is the most common treatment for men going through andropause. This treatment may provide relief from the symptoms and help improve the quality of life in many cases.  Lifestyle changes such as increased exercise, stress reduction, and good nutrition also help.  Consult with Your doctor to help you decide if testosterone treatment is right in your situation, as treatment does have risks.
