Aislinn De'Ath on Performance, Experience, and Baking

Aislinn De'Ath on Performance, Experience, and Baking

NOTE: In this episode, we briefly discussed community theatre. It is not the intention of either party to dismiss or mock any regional theatre or community theatre. Both are entirely valid and important. Community theatre is a vital place of experimentation, exploration, training, and generally keeping the arts alive; regional theatre is amazing and necessary, professional and entertaining. Our attitudes are not negative toward either community theatre or regional theatre, and we apologize if what we said came across that way. Both of us have a long history of working in community theatre, and my (Cedrc's) work has been instrumental in my development. I'm proud to have worked in what I believe are some of the best community theatre productions in the United States, with actors that could walk onto a Broadway stage at a moment's notice. Aislinn, too, values both community theatre and regional theatre, and views her peers in England that work in regional theatre with a great deal of admiration and respect. We felt it was important to make this note and make sure that anyone listening has a chance to understand that.

Thank you, and enjoy the episode!
