In the middle of everyday moments, ordinary people had encounters with Jesus that changed everything. As we study these stories in scripture and journey towards Easter, let’s enter with expectancy for our own encounters with Jesus.

This last Sunday, we concluded the It's $piritual series with stories from our congregation and a word from Pastor Leo. Stay tuned for Sunday, March 6 to hear how much we were able to raise Good Laundry! Remember- God is not after your money, He's after your heart!

Pastor Erin continues the conversation about money in our spiritual lives. 

We often think of spiritual activities as attending church, praying, or studying the Bible. But have you ever considered that your relationship with money is a spiritual matter? Jesus talked a lot about money because money leads our hearts. In this new series we will discover that the way we relate to and manage our money can help unlock a deeper relationship with Jesus. This last Sunday, we began our new series- It’s $piritual!

This last Sunday, we concluded the No Matter What series by inviting Pastor Ann Brandon to the stage with Pastor Erin to discuss the question- How does faith help us endure suffering so that it shapes us for better, not worse?

Our world teaches us to value speed and to expect prompt responses; however, these can be dangerous expectations when waiting on our God. His timeline and our timeline are not the same. Take a listen as we continue the No Matter What series and discover how we can encounter God during times of waiting.

Just like Habakkuk calling out to God- “Why don’t you do something?”, we may be feeling alone in the darkness or may have difficult questions for God. This last Sunday, we continued with our No Matter What series, looking at how we can encounter God during these times of confusion.

In this new series called No Matter What we look at how the prophet Habakkuk called out to God asking Him tough questions and how God's answer was not what Habakkuk imagined.

How do we continue when we're struggling? Take a listen to hear three truths we find within the first chapters of Habakkuk.

This last Sunday, Pastor Erin gave us some time and space to step out of last year and move into this New Year with purpose. We may be entering into this year with fears of the unknown, but we can be confident that God knows exactly what we need and when we need it. Are you ready to follow?

Our Prince of Peace is among us!

This past Sunday we looked at how God shows up in the middle of what can feel like a mess, but it's His presence that makes all the difference. Therefore, as we continue through advent, we hope that you encounter not just the feeling of peace, but the Prince of Peace himself!

We begin our Encounter Peace series by looking at the God of Shalom. Whatever struggle we may carry as we enter advent this year, we can take heart, because the Prince of Peace is here to dwell with us.

This Sunday, we looked at 2 Corinthians 8 and the message of having overflowing joy and rich generosity amid trials.  Thanks to our encounters with Jesus, we’re able to raise our eyes beyond our circumstances and live generously.

Fear and Anxiety can often grip our lives especially as we are prone to worry about the future. Our experiences in life have taught us that bad things happen, and we don't know when they will happen again.

But fear not, the Lord is with you!

Pastor Erin wraps up the Kingdom Come series this week. God tells us that storms come, sometimes unexpectedly, so be wise and build your house on His word.

Pastor Ben helps us face our fears (with help from Donkey) and find our peace and treasure within God's Love.

Continuing our Kingdom Come Series, guest preacher Cassidy Shaw discusses what prayer can look like, feel like, and its purpose in our lives.

As we continue the Kingdom Come series, we explore the mission of the kingdom, taking a look at our very own His Place! We looked back on how it came to be, the impact on our community, and how it is currently going. We celebrated Chris Sipka's 25 years of amazing work, and welcome in Steve Karp.

Pastor Erin Taylor preaches a powerful sermon in which she asks the questions, "What is the difference between living by law and living in love?  How does it change how you relate to others?"  Relationships matter to Jesus!  After listening to this sermon from our Fall series, Kingdom Come, we encourage you to take the challenge to discuss with someone "How is Jesus inviting you to grow as a kingdom subject?"

Are we living with a scarcity mindset where we need to insure our provisions much like a child grabbing candy at a parade, or are we trusting on God to fully provide for His Kingdom and all that is in it?  Pastor Erin preaches on the provision of God found in His Kingdom, in the most recent sermon in Alma Church of God's current series, "Kingdom Come."

Pastor Erin Taylor asks the question, "When are you most blessed?"  This powerful teaching from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount will challenge your idea of when to call yourself blessed and help you refocus on what it truly means to be blessed.
