You are the average of the 5 people you are hanging out with. Go find that MENTOR. Find a Coach. Find an accountability partner.
What’s going on my Facebook friends, alternative careers group. This is Dr. Mike Chua again a physical therapist, certified dementia practitioner, and your alternative career coach. I've been so busy lately. First of all, I haven't personally greeted you guys. Merry, merry Christmas and of course it's almost a new year so Happy New Year. I don't know if you remember I posted, I think a week ago about me being cut off on my contract and I started talking to my friends. I called all my coaches, people that push me to my next level. And guess what all the people that I talked to David Bailiff, Anthony Maritimo, Engelbert Devera, Patricia, Hassan, all those people pushed me to my next level and not realizing that those are the average of the people that I was hanging out with. Todd Wickstrom, I talked to them. And when you are down, there's no way but up. When you're down, you need to talk to the people who are above you, who are on top of you. In that way, you can push yourself to the next level. Don't talk to the people who are actually also down. Start looking for those people who can push you to your next level, start looking for the people who are actually doing what you really want to do. Like Patrice, like Todd like Egbert like whoever, whoever you want to mimic, you know, that we have this program with. What do you say that the 2120 challenge by Greg Todd, attend that challenge? I think $99 and there is a package that Emma has done, if you've signed up for it, you get the certain program from all the courses that we did here. It's just $99. And there's one lady who said that she can't afford one, reach out to me, we'll figure it out. We'll figure out how to help you. For all the people who want to learn more reach out to our coach, to the coaches in this group because they have all the helping hand. Tony married a tattoo He's a wonderful, good friend of mine, a friend, a good friend of mine. I didn't even pay him and he's coaching me, too. Start my own part be billing. Imagine that I didn't pay him just talking back and forth Teresa son, and I've been calling her and all the ideas she's throwing at me, it's such a phenomenal, crazy idea and just reach out to those people that you want to mimic. If you want to call it you want a cash base, talk to David Bailiff. And last time I talked to him, I attracted a cash pay patient because of just talking to him because I wanted to have a cash pay patient. And if you want to have personal training, talk to Dustin Howard because he's like the personal training guru and closing in the high ticket. What I put out there you are the average of the five people you are hanging out with. Go find a mentor, find a coach, find an accountability partner, right now have a coach, a speaker coach, and we have that lead coaching mastermind wherein he teaches us how to be a better speaker in our business. Find somebody that will push you to your next level and your accountability partner. Whether it's free, whether it's paid, find somebody because 2019 is almost done. It's going to be a new year, it's going to be a new you and you got to push yourself to the next level. Looking at my calendar, it's going to be January 18 and 19. That's a course. It's a required course to be a certified dementia practitioner. If you want to be a CDP, or see you know, just attend that course. We got a special discount code if you are interested just shoot me a message Have a great day. Be Awesome, be great, be excellent. Have a great weekend. God bless you and go ACG, let's go find that alternative career. Bye-bye and have a great day.

Interview with my Coach Greg Todd on his Ultimate Alternative Career!
Interview with my Coach Greg Todd on his Ultimate Alternative Career! Greg explains in-depth the Patient Cycle that no one has ever taught us in traditional school. He makes us realize that treatment and skills are not the only tools we need to succeed in the patient cycle. Are you going to switch careers? Or are you ready to learn the patient cycle, marketing and advertising? In this episode of ACG: 02:20 – Alternative Caregiver Group came about with Greg’s idea 05:10 – We live in a day and age we’re either we’re not getting paid what and we’re frustrated or we get a raise and you feel your job is on the line. 05:45 – Gregg wants us all to be entrepreneurs because he knows we are in a no-win situation. 08:45 – Common denominator in the ACG is the interest in finding a different career. 09:15 – Patient cycle outlined (Marketing/advertising, Lead Acquisition, Sales Cycle, Treatment) 11:25 – Patient cycle starts with them not realizing that you have a problem that they can solve (Marketing) 13:00 – Understanding that I can get you to desire something (Lead acquisition) 14:00 – Giving value with your offer and people will be happy to exchange money. 14:45 – Treatment and skills taught to us by traditional school made us not able to separate ourselves in the market place and it makes us expendable. 15:50 – Why are people looking for alternative careers? 16:40 – Understand the entire picture before investing your time, energy and resources to a different career. 17:00 – Learn the other parts of the cycle that will give you control and more power over the entire situation. 18:55 – Before switching to another career, ask yourself this: Is it the career or I just need to learn the sales cycle? 20:15 – Learn to water your talent (treatment and skills.) 25:00 – Find your passion and work hard on it. 27:00 – Greg’s 21:20 Healthcare Challenge 29:00 – Have a system that filters clients you want to serve 30:30 – What do I need to change in the current situation instead of starting over from scratch? 36:05 – ACG goal is to help each other. 36:50 – Your career should be used to give you the personal dreams and visions that you desire not the other way around. 44:25 – What exactly are you running away from and what exactly are you trying to run towards?

Are you looking for a new J-O-B or are you looking for something you L-O-V-E to do? With Ruth Backlund
Hey ACG, it is Ruth Backland. I am the owner and founder of Energy Myofascial Release in Duluth; I am one of your moderators; I am a coach; I am a practice owner and an RN; and a myofascial release therapist. My question to you is, “Are you on this facebook group to find a new job?” or “Are you in this group to find something that you love to do?” And the big question is, “Would you be willing to do what you think you love to do for free?” The reason why I asked that is, a lot of times when  we are dissatisfied with our current  situation whether it be in a middle of job. We just feel that we need to crank it out for the insurance company, for the big industry, for healthcare, maybe it is just something that we fell into and we just feel kind of stuck because we need that paycheck. Somebody’s got to pay the bills and it takes a job. But what if that job could be absolutely what you love to do? I had an experience this weekend. I have been doing myofascial release in Duluth for about 10 years. I have been doing it full time for one and part time for a few years and I have been doing it casual when I first started. It was really kind of a side hustle. I was in stressful job for a long time and hated it. Loved the people that I have worked with but hated the whole pace of the business I was in and really did not have the passion that followed the mission of the company – let’s just put it that way.  There was some disconnect for me and I know a lot of you feel that way in your roles and that’s why you are looking at this group. What are some other options out there? Maybe some of you lost their jobs with some of the cutbacks and things like that.  But what do you love to do?  The reason why that is important is, sometimes having a job is just there because you want to have that steady paycheck. Sometimes you are looking for a status. You need to find why you want the job that you want.  This past weekend, I went on a retreat.  And it was a retreat that basically required me to work the whole time for free. I worked all week long, treated patients in my office and I did my admin stuff, did my staff meetings and all that kind of stuff. And I travelled for 4 hours so I could work for free – Friday evening, all day Saturday, Sunday and then drive back by Sunday and be ready to work back by Monday morning.

Fail! Fail fast and Get Up fast!
How do you respond to failure? Ray and I wanted to go live in his Facebook private group but it didn’t push through. It was all issues, my network wasn’t that good and etc. And I just realized when you fail, you fail fast and get up fast. It’s not how many times you’ve fallen or fail, or got sick or whatever. It’s how many times you get up and do this all over again. Here’s my tip for today! GET UP! It’s G-E-T U-P, GET UP! GO GETTER You’ve got to be go-giver and go-getter. You’ve got to get it. Greg Todd keeps saying, “Go get it!” ENTHUSIASM It’s enthusiasm and energy! When you’re failing and you don’t have that energy, guess what, you’re going to stand in that failing position. TEAM OF PEOPLE You’ve got to have a team of people that will push you and bring out the best in you and push you to your next level and not pull you down! If your friends, or family member or your co-workers and teammates are pulling you down, that’s crab mentality, you don’t want to be in that team. You want people who will pull you up and push you to your next level. UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION You have to learn to understand the situation. Understand the situation because when you’ve fallen and you’ve failed you got to know and understand what’s causing you to fail. If you failing on the same things again and again, that’s a repetition of failure. But if you’re learning and understanding that situation, you’re not going to make the same mistakes again and again. POSITIVE ATTITUDE A positive attitude will not give you anything, but it’s better than having a negative attitude.
