The Importance of Goals & Action: Jeff Neufeld

The Importance of Goals & Action: Jeff Neufeld

Hello and welcome to After Hours with your host, Amanda Hamilton. After Hours is a platform for conversations with some of Canada’s most dynamic creative entrepreneurs. Driven by open, honest conversations, we dig into what makes businesses survive and thrive, giving you tactical insights and takeaways to fuel success, create enduring rituals and well, crush it in life and business.

Sharing in my indulgence and passion for spreadsheets, building enduring rituals and living an intentional life, today’s guest, Jeff Neufeld provides insightful and tactical insights on how to create action and nail your goals. We chat about the ideas around work life balance, managing commitments to business and family and staying accountable to ourselves.

Jeff Neufeld is the shareholder and president of Neuhoff Capital Corporation, a long-term value investment company that owns a number of operating businesses involved in manufacturing metal construction products and industrial racking and shelving, alongside private and public investments in logistics, infrastructure, insurance, technology, humans, and community. He began his investment career in grade 8 with the purchase of 2 Union Pacific shares and founded Neuhoff in 2010 with the purchase of a small Calgary manufacturing operation. In the last decade, NCC has expanded operations from being Calgary-centric to operating across Western Canada, employs about 50 people (from 2!) and has tripled the revenue. Jeff has thoroughly enjoyed the transition to business after a first career as a concert artist, has a family that he loves being around, and community involvement that brings him tremendous joy.
