An award-winning restaurant serving authentic Japanese cuisine, Sakura has an ongoing Nabe Festival. A wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian soups are on offer.
Executive Chef Swapandeep Mukherjee shares with us all about Nabe.
Nabe or Nabemono are extremely popular in the winter and come with delish accompaniments of dips and sauces such as Yakumi and Punzo.
Nabe means cooking pot and mono is stuff. The soups are served as a community meal and kept in the centre of the table on a portable hot stove.
Sakura maintains the tradition.
In Japan, there are different kinds of Nabe across different regions.
The festival is on till December 23 and it's dinner only. Enjoy your hotpot meal and drive away the winter chills.
