This episode we travel to the east coast visiting the historical city of Brooklyn. With a massive population recorded over 2 million as of 2017, the crime rates were a bit stranger then usual. We continue on to look at an infamous man with many nicknames. Brooklyn Vampire, Werewolf of Wysteria, and The Grey Man, no nickname is far from the truth. As monster sounding as the labels, the specific crime we explore today was nothing short of insane. Take a trip to the east coast city of Brooklyn in 1930, and find yourself terrified of the events surrounding the six year investigation, antagonizing letters, and distraught detectives within the Grace Budd disappearance. Fox Hollow Farms became the home of a man named Herbert Baumeister, who seemed to be living a normal life. With a wife, and children, and a flourishing business, who would've guessed his thirteen year old son finds a human skeleton in the backyard. Also going by the name "Brian Smart" a private investigator gets hired by a family after their son goes missing. Eventually finding out that Herb had a secret he didn't wanna share. During that year a horrific crime took place, and it was something out of a horror movie. A family vacation turns sinister when someone decides to take their lives. 6 victims, plenty of evidence, main suspects suicide, and 32 years later, no arrests. Welcome again to the American Crimes podcast, we decide to look into a strange case coming out of the largest state, and largest populated city in said state. The year was 2000, and a double murder took place. Two suspects become the main attraction, one being the husband, another being a "creepy" co-worker. Who really did this? Who took these two women with the same exact name? A case that remains unsolved nearly 19 years later. Was it a hitman who got the wrong woman, but felt necessary to complete the job?
