Actors of Change is an AM/FM Radio and a CIROS Goodwill Committee podcast where we interview people working in the environmental field. The idea is to create a positive podcast far from guiltiness and despair with optimistic individuals, who can inspire and motivate you in your daily life. You are welcome on our journey to shape and discuss a more human and sustainable world. For this third episode, our guest will be Maryse  Helbert. We will go through her academic pathway, oil extraction’s  impact on women communities (Part 1); the notion of a fair and just transition to a zero-carbon society, the role of political science for climate change governance and the upcoming COP26 (Part 2). I want to warmly thank Maryse Helbert, here is the link to her blog (https://marysehelbert.blog/); but also Gus (@ogustuss) for the music found throughout the episode (Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/ugustinarrat/tracks). Decolonizing the syllabus: African politics in the IRO curriculum EP.3 Conclusion

Decolonizing the syllabus: African politics in the IRO curriculum EP.3 Conclusion

This podcast is about decolonizing the IRO curriculum and African politics in IR in which tries to explore the ways in which IRO is perceived by students, academics in the field and how this relates to the overall picture.

As students from the African Politics Club, we believe that African politics are under pursued. We also realize that an incorporative, balanced approach to international politics requires retracing colonial history and the act of decolonization.

In which way and to which extent, the room for decolonization in academia and the ways in which the student body interacts with that topic is laid out in three episodes.
